Great rifle mate. Mine is one of the first HW50's without the automatic safety and leather piston seal. I cleaned it some months ago and soaked the seal overnight in Ballistol, replaced the spring and breach seal. It shoots great again. 1cm. groups on 25 meters. Thanks for your video! Cheers.

Does your HW50S have the threaded end cap ? You can buy a seal conversion kit for the 25mm seals.

Lucky you!!! Would love to have an early version of the 50 but those who have them tend to hold on to them for good reason. Thanks for stopping by.

@@Guru1ofatlThe Beeman HW50M was Beeman's 1st. attempt to Customize the HW50S with the balance of the SILE HW50S export stock. Shortly afterwards the BEEMAN R8 was released. Naturally I prefer the 50M. I can sell "You" either format... 🤷🏼‍♂️

@@marcmyers1465 Marc, why on earth don't you have a RUclips channel covering airgun history??? I can't say I'm familiar with the Beeman HW50M. That's the walnut stained stock with the shorter forearm that is grooved on each side?

@@Guru1ofatlThe original 50S had the slim forearm with the finger grooves. SILE In Italy (Now Minelli) produced many of the Weihrauch stocks and still do. In the early 80's they offered 2 Modern Luxus stock upgrades for the HW50S and HW35E. The forearm match profile geometry was identical to the HW55M but smooth, and they had Modern American Monte Carlo cheeks. The 50S version was in Walnut stained Beech, and the 35E version had a select Grade 3 Walnut w/ hand checkered grip panels.
These upgrades were slow sellers and Robert Beeman purchased the balance of them for the Beeman HW50M and HW35 Luxus.
SILE also made an HW50S Luxus stock with the Classic Bayern cheek of the HW55 and HW35 Luxus in the late 70's that was offered by Robert Law's Air Rifle Headquarters.
I'd considered starting a RUclips channel... But lacking the polite, gentile interpersonal skills to play Rugby 😳, decided against that ! 😂

I finally broke down and pulled the Hawke 4-12×50 off of my 50S... 🤷🏼‍♂️ Just didn't like the balance and handling, and ended up mounting an Airmax 2-7×32 on a BKL Cantilever for short eye relief. It's a .22 so I don't necessarily need the range. 😉 Still good for about 8 MOS🐿️... a day. 😁
I'm running my 50M's at +/- 10.5 fpe. So they are just pure gravy... 🤤👌
