Smart man, I myself perfected my undervolts. I have 7700HQ, GTX1070. CPU offset was indef determinded by Witcher 3 bad optomization and GPU undervolt was proved by FF15. -0.130v -.800v @1924
That is very helpful for battery. First of all beast of a laptop. Right now I am making a dock of sort with external liquid cooling and extra hard drive and add storage and the external gpu(with a little tweaking). I’m making this and taking my time on it to be as close as looking factory as possible. If you want to look you should write down my channel somewhere I’ll have a video up in a few months. I do have two problems tho. 1 is the laptop keeps stuttering when its not over locked in every game I have. At least when it’s not overclocked. I’ve tried everything in power to fix it but I can’t find the issue. I think has something to do with my memory based on the task manager usage but every test says that my memory is fine. And 2. I’m just getting into coding and I sort of want to have it where when I plug in the laptop to the dock it changes the majority of settings I have like clock speed and such. I don’t know how to go about this if anyway could help. Thx
Hi all alienware 13r3 users, during my lecture which last for 3 hours. my settings are wifi ON, alienfx disabled, on the battery icon bottom right set at power saving mode with 50% screen brightness and from desktop right click go into nvidia global setting and select integrated graphics only. =( thats my experience anyway to get better performance?
Hi, when you rebuilt your Alienware 13 R3 to Windows 10 Pro, did you use Dell drivers or did you use the download drivers via the OS? Also if both nvme slots are used, does this mean AHCI no longer will show the drivers and needs to be set to RAID?
JonGCruzNY cool, is that all dell drivers, chipset etc? Was there a specific older on site you referenced? With two nvme cards installed, with AHCI enable it shows no drives installed, either installing the intel rat driver does not show disks. But when RAID ON selected and the rst driver, they then appear.
Hey! great vid, managed to do it in my alienware 13 r3, with -0.130, BUT, I just noticed that for some reason, the settings are being restored to defaults in Intel Extreme Tuning Utility. I get an error stating something that it can't be applied if Watchdog is enabled or something (I haven't been able to get the error on screen again). Anything you know about it?
With my Alienware 13 r3 I can get -190 mv with it plugged in and -155 mv with it unplugged for core and cache. With the Intel gou I can get -200mv with it plugged in
How is this possible? I have the same unit but with 16GB of ram and an IPS display. I'm currently at -120mv but when i do a stress test and browse the web while watching RUclips, my system freezes and will continue then freeze again. What kind of sorcery did you do in your AW13 R3? :O
Kenneth Kim Hi, just keep in mind that even we have similar hardware that doesn't mean the response have to be equal for many reason. Parts supplier are not always the same, I've seen comments here of guys that were able to go even lower voltage than me so that's why I said "start by certain amount of voltage" and keep testing. So try with a higher setting. Thanks!
What I like most so far is the ability to use the thunder port for fast android charge and the left USB for iPhone fast charge.

better performance or battery?
do you need the application open all the time to have it down volted? can you leave the Intel app closed? if that makes sense. thanks
propeldragon Once the new setting are applied you can close the app.

DemolitionManHD Hi there, I use Dell drivers. About the hard drive, once you have both it doesn’t ask.

Hello, how is the fan noise?? Idle vs high load??
Shubhanshu Patwal Hi, after the underbolt is more quiet. Idle you can't notice but while gaming is noticeable but still more quiet than Razer.

Hey JonGCruzNY, mind to share your alienfx keyboard lighting profile? it looks really nice
Lawrence Law Just go to AlienFX panel, themes and select CUBED. From there you can make some modifications or use it as it is.

DruidFluid got damn!
can you do it in the bios? what happens if your computer crashes?
MasterofPlay7 Increase the voltage.
i'm able to do -135mv, but the turbo boost goes down to 3.45ghz, i have the same 13r3 with the i7 7700hq :D
isn't the turbo boost supposed to be 3.8ghz?
MasterofPlay7 yes but don't go under 90 milivolts
Do you undervolt the GPU as well?
No, is not recommended to to change anything in the GPU.
Thanks
GPU temps are great, only CPU will need that.
hey man i got a weird question maybe, in that app are you able to lower your reference clock? can you try it and say if it works
+Joey ter Wal Ummm Will try that.
