Perhaps you're right, Devonte, lol. I guess if they really were screaming after a while it would serve to wreck their ability to reach the 5th octave anyhow. When listening to Tamar sing I hear these weird tones that aren't consistent in the chest belts (as with Beyoncé's singing) but they are still pleasing to take in. Could it be Tamar has learned to tame her voice somewhat when she has vocal challenges...or are her vocal chords damaged partially, permanently?

Tamar has a beautiful voice, however Beyonce's voice has more power and soul behind it. Beyonce just sounds more seasoned , the woman has crazy vocals and control.
Tamar has a wider range but Beyoncé is more consistent in each register than Tamar. Tamar sounds shaky TOO often. It’s not about how fast the car can go, it’s about how well you can drive it. Beyoncé drives hers better.

This actually wasn't that good it seemed like you made Tamar's turn sound mad in purpose. Beyonce sounded clear as day but Tamar's had people talking. Tamar for every ones information can go 5 or 6 octaves up and three octaves down. (So can i) I'm soprano but my deeper voice doesn't suck. The person that mad this video just mad it a little unfair. Tamar and all the braxton can go deep annnddd Tamar has a wide range beyonce can't even go that high.

Sorry but Beyonce's tribute to Barbra Streisand performance is concrete proof her and Tamar aren't on the same wave link. For every high note Tamar hits, Beyonce's voice makes up for it being brighter,fuller, richer and downright less shrill. Plus Beyonce has this steely power live that's nowhere near captured fully on her records. Beyonce can hit complex high notes mixed with runs at ease, Tamar and her shrilly high notes almost burst her vocal cords on her first tour. Tamar's not even seeing Letoya,Kelly, and Michelle on their good days.Whether Toni thinks so or not her voice is more pleasant than Tamar's so is Trina's.
The only audio for Tamar was biased as a mug. Beyonce clips was made clear and Tamar clips was mad ghetto. They both are talented they both have years of experience the audio I think should be redone

Tamar is an amateur vocalist. For lows she detaches from main voice and goes into vocal fry (for only a C3?). Belts you can literally hear STRUGGLE and notice her voice give out, for the G#5 you can hear that larnyx pop out of her neck.
For head voice she squeezes the vocal cords together giving a very pitchy, and unpleasant sound.
BY the way that A5/Bb5(peaked Bb5) belt that Beyonce did was absolutely horrible; oddly enough it was still somehow intact and controlled. I just don't like the sound that was projected. I wouldn't use that note in a vocal battle, its an insult to that woman technical prowess. C7 was a joke for Beyonce as well. The hell was that..

Tamar just started preforming live as a solo artist & most of her concerts are only filmed on phones by fans. Beyoncé has made DVD for almost ALL of solo tours so it's good quality. But either way Tamar has vocals for YEARS & so does Beyoncé😍😍

Beyoncé overall! Tamar can sing DOWN, but I just feel and hear that Beyoncé has a better overall technique. Especially when belting(IMO). Tamar sounds really shrill-ish when she gets in her 5th octave and higher. I think she had Bey beat around the G5-G#5, but that's because she's a soprano. Great video though!

Not a fan of Beyonce (well, her music anyway) but she won this one. I don't think putting the C7 in here was fair as Tamar actually sang the note while Beyonce didn't (I couldn't even hear it), I think it should have stopped at E6. Tamar as a lot of potential but has a long way to go technique-wise... Her runs sound overdone like Beyonce's were 10-15 years ago and much of her voice sounds a bit forced, including her upper notes where she should really shine as a true soprano compared to Bey. I mean, even in the upper belts (F5 and above) this I'd say this is a tie because while Beyonce isn't great here (as in she doesn't really sustain the notes or hit them head on), Tamar pushes some of them and sounds a bit pitchy.

What annoys me about Beyonce & tamar comparisons is that Beyonce has been in the spotlight as a soloist for 15+ years. Meaning she's had 15 years to practice being a soloist. Tamar has had 2 years at being a soloist. Compare Beyonce in her first two years vs tamar in her first two years. There would be NO COMPETITION, this is like comparing a fully grown Apple in the store, to a fresh apple hanging from the trees now

Tamar came out before Beyoncé in a group 1996 with her sisters and Beyoncé came out in a group in 1997 with her best friends 😂😂😂 and Beyoncé has been solo since 2001 but her first solo album came out in 2003 then she went back to the group in 2004 then she went solo again since 2006 so technically Beyoncé hasn't been solo for that long but she has been in the business for 18 years so you can't say Beyoncé had more time because actually Tamar has.... Beyoncé is just better in certain fields and Tamar is better in certain fields but overall with everything including performing Beyoncé is better

Beyonce has more range and a beautiful southern rasp to her voice. She also has more proficiency with her voice. Beyonce can sing with depth in her voice.
Tamar Braxton has range but, not qualified to beat Beyonce's. Tamar doesn't have much proficiency with her voice. Tamar voice has amazing depth to it also as Beyonce.

You should have used better and longer quality for Tamar's parts. It seems like you showed favoritism for Beyonce since her portions are longer and more clear. IMO Tamar is the better singer. Technically she may not be the most polished but theres more feeling, conviction and soul in her voice. She's in the vein of classic R&B singers. Whereas Beyonce is more Pop and mainstream. Beyonces good when she's actually singing but if you put her on stage with the real R&B singers they'll eat her alive. She's best sticking with the Pop songs she sings. It's best to leave the real singing to the R&B artist.

If emotion was all that was needed to be the superior singer then any one who wails or sings as if they're in pain would be the better vocalist. That's not the case though..It is a fact that Beyonce has a the more resonant lower register, more coordinated midbelt along with more ease and agility in all parts of the range..it has nothing to do with how you feel personally about the singer. You could prefer Tamar as a vocalist because you relate to her as a vocalist, emotionally, and still recognize that Beyonce is "technically" the better vocalist.

They both have amazing voices, but you can tell Beyonce has mastered her voice more than Tamar. Almost every performance Tamar has she sounds shakey or like her voice is about to give out, except when she sings with her sisters. When she’s with her sisters she sounds clear as a bell.

This is laughable guys... Tamar's voice is undeniably stronger than Beyoncé's voice. Tamar has an amazing lightness and fullness and POWER and WHISTLE and strong low notes crazy high head notes amazing mixed voice which is why she can belt from her lower register unto higher ones. Beyoncé's voice has had A LOT of training over the years while Tamar, despite her back ground singing experience, does not have the training. Tamar does have more of a natural ability.

Sc0rpion Yeah I know, but a local family trainer wont always do the trick. Great vocalist should see different coaches throughout life. As knowledge of the voice is always growing and more qualified coaches are out there. When you reach a certain level you have to pay top dollar for a top coach. Mariah Carey made this mistake as well I think her mother was her only coach.

Beyince sound so put together and controlled in all her vocals she really is a vocalist. tamar let's her emotions get to her sometimes and it makes her sound off and uneven and she also have the tendency to elevate and scream and the transitions are not smooth

Tamar has a natural tone that is more rich and full. Beyonce has a complete control and access to her instrument. Tamar doesn't really have control of her voice which is why her ability to access certain notes is inconsistent...but she is gifted with beautiful rich voice. Therefore, Tamar doesn't have to work as hard. Beyonce's greatness is in how she's mastered her instrument. No matter how naturally gifted a singer is, it's hard for them to out sing Bey because she understands how to sing really well. They're two very different types of singers

Ummmm first thing wrong about this battle= Bey can NOT hit a C7. that would make her a coloratura soprano and she is a mezzo (2nd soprano) at best. Now she does have an amazing range but definitely NOT above high C (C6) Ive seen nor heard anything from her higher than E#6....Tamar on the other hand, Ive noticed with high register singers that since their voices get more powerful the higher they go....its what they are used to. So her lower range isnt as strong....she sounds alot like her sisters, Toni and Towanda in particular but definitely not as idk...healthy lol

It would be great if Tamar would find a vocal coach equivalent to Beyonce's coach so that she can get her vocals together and be on point every night. Its a shame to see such raw talent not being utilized to its full potential.

FIRST OF ALL.........you already out of line for comparing my mommy to Beyoncé. Beyoncé can sing but she cant be compared to Tamar. Tamar has a 4 and one note octave and I can go up 2 octaves and down 2. Tamar is hands one an amazing singer. She can do way more singing than Beyonce. She can hit the notes higher and hold them for longer. I compared myself to Beyonce by singing all of the songs (even the live versions) on the same note she has and I personally held the notes for longer than Beyoncé has. Don't get it twisted. Tamar Braxton finds her strength in her head voice and higher chest register. Her lower range is not as strong but is still well supported. Due to Tamar's expert mixing of her head and chest voice, her belting range extends all the way to a Bb5; having a very bright, light quality to it.
Her head voice is smooth and airy, and is well connected to the rest of the voice.
She is also able of singing notes in the whistle register, producing a tone that is not piercing but instead very smooth.
beyond sounds mezzo and Tamar is a soprano for sure. beyonce lower range is really solid while Tamar has more ease I'm the upper register.

you cant really compare them though bc beyonce is a mezzo soprano(alto) and tamar is a lyric soprano. very different vocal tessituras so their ranges both peak at completely different places.

Beyonce has more control of her notes but Tamar has a wider Range and her high notes are beautiful even though they aren't as controlled as they could be. Tamar has 4 to 5 octaves and Beyonce has 3 to 4 octaves. in my opinion only Tamar is a better singer and if she had as much press as Beyonce she would be up there like Beyonce is. because they both have vocals.

Both Tamar and Beyoncé have one thing in common. Their tone isn't that attractive, it's either you love it or don't no in between. Butch technical skill is amazing in my opinion Tamar higher notes are better as she is a light lyric, and has amazing skill when trying to excute notes. Beyoncé notes are more fuller and more technical she can hold so much and let so much vocals out of her mouth at one time. Both amazing talented singers.
