To be fair Thanos has tanked point-blank face-shots of cosmic power from the Surfer and been un-phased by it. The Surfer can casually destroy solar systems and can destroy a Galaxy if he wanted to go absolutely all-out. The power levels are kinda inconsistent throughout the time line though.
The problem is Thanos power levels are inconsistent as well as the Silver Surfers. Galactus supposed to have built the surfer to be unrivaled. what exactly Thanos powers that he's able to go toe-to-toe with Surfer. In fact he should be able to demolish Surfer since he was supposed to have fought to a standstill or beat Galactus

So thanos wasn’t scared here. like I said it was a lie so that young thanos would stick around and the truth was told to us after this it was so that young thanos would kill old thanos to complete king thanos’s goal.

No point in fans arguing back and forth about how "this portrayal is wrong", as these are fictional characters who's abilities change with the convenience of the story and what the author is trying to tell. There are no hard rules to Marvel canon. Everything is subject to retcon at the whims of new writers and editors. If they ever were consistent they haven't been in a very long time. They are filled with overused tropes, and rampant power creep and power seep, and the ignoring of powers or resistances, both for Heroes and villains alike. This isn't new. The inconsistencies generally come when a hero has their power inflated to ridiculous degrees slowly over time. They become immune to more things. In the case of the Hulk, over time, his base level of strength in a relatively calm state has gotten more and more inflated. His rate of strength and unlimited anger increase gotten so fast to the point where he can't have a good fight with any villain ever logically. He cannot even get killed as Banner or he'll instantly Hulk out, as you pointed out. In the past his strength had to build slow enough for him to get a good fight out of iconic powerhouse villains, and there was a risk Hulk could get KO'd before he had the chance to exceed their power. These days, he's now powered by God himself. I mean, where do you go from there? Now, to be fair to Hulk, he is not at all the only hero to get power inflation, Thor, Superman, Uberbat and so on. Eventually writers themselves cannot even keep up with the inflation, or they literally cannot ever put the hero in a situation where they are at risk, and it's next to impossible to write a villain as an overwhelming odd. The result? The writers stop giving a shit and just writes the Hero as vulnerable to something to sell the villain as a badass threat. Otherwise their only option is to come up with a generic new threat, but those generally don't land well with readers. Some questions from someone who enjoys, but is not very knowledgeable in most comic lines. How did Ghost Rider become a servant of Thanos? What did Surfer do to become worthy? At one point, one of the panels says that it's the very last thing in all of existence. Is this true? All of the entire multiverse? How come Surfer was able to defeat these guys no prob with Mjolnir, but Thor himself was a piss ant by comparison when he was wielding it? Lastly, where is The One Above All in this? Is he just sitting back watching everything he ever created be wiped out?

Gonna leave this here, just in case some people see it. In this comic, King Thanos received, like, an astronomical power boost. It's quite made clear in the story that he's far more powerful than present Thanos. I'd say it's why he managed to hold on and to kill the Fallen One Surfer.
Beautiful Story, But The Surfer wouldn't die that easy. Characters that should never die are Thanos, Silver Surfer, Eternity & Infinity and at least one Watcher, they are the main ingredient for the Marvel Universe.

The others have done well enough bagging on the in-story shortcomings. My issues are with mechanics. When there's a lot of text, you really ought to provide sufficient time to *read* it all before transitioning to the next page. Also, about 30% of the text boxes are so small, the text is unreadable. (So sorry, I left my electron microscope in my other pants.) Finally, dead air for the last several panels? One would imagine you'd have stuck in something vaguely...funereal, just to close it all out and drive home the point.
You know what wouldve been better writing? Norrin lands a lethal blow on the younger thanos By smacking half of his face off. Leaving a long enough opening for the old thanos to thrust his sword through silver surfers back. While young thanos dies he witnesses his older self with death. King thanos walks toward death to marry her weeping and while older thanos kisses her to consumate the marriage. Banner walks to norrins dead body and weeps and in a fit of rage picks up the hammer only to be found worthy. Hulk sets his gaze to the old titan glimmering and with more vigour than a young self, hulk starts to walk towards the titan saying under his breath "I'm no ones slave"................. Issue ends! ( the writers should not have hyped up norrin so much and thanos not have a bitter sweet ending. I know the comic is about thanos winning but dont punch yourself in the leg with norrin going out like a amateur.
Surfer is almost too powerful to be an interesting character, because he can annihilate anyone within two seconds. They have to give him a guilt plot line otherwise he would kill Thanos on the first page
He can hear and feel the heartbeats of every life-form around him in over a lightyear. The Surfer has said this himself. Almost nobody should be able to sneak attack him. Just inconsistent writing I guess. I suppose writers have not read every other instance of a character appearing in comic books prior to writing a new story. Marvel and DC should both write up DO and DO NOT lists for the characters which list what they have accomplished, their capabilities and a brief history of them so writers creating new stories don't screw up.
Really enjoyed the video but in reality well in the comic book world Silver Surfer would have ended all this in about 3 seconds he has unlimited cosmic power in speed, strength an psych powers and he can manipulate matter by thought, can basically can turn any weapon into a banana than he time travel back draw a smiley face on it in marker show it to you in real time then make it melt in your hands front of your eyes No freaking way Hulk, Ghost Rider Thor, Iron Man ever beats Silver Surfer! now the Phoenix that's a different story

I thought that for a second. Like, he'd just Hulk out and Hulk, along with banner, would heal. But the sword Thanos is using Surtur's Twilight. It's destruction, basically. So think how Superman is weak against magic bc magic bends the rules of science(fiction) based character. So he's basically killed by the weapon that's wielded by the Fire Giant that brings about Ragnarok, the end of days. So it doesn't dismiss Hulk, just overrides that attribute of his character.

Look....This is the epitome of bad writing. they took a bunch of flashy characters, flashy concepts, and cliches, and hoped with everything in there it would pull itself together. An alternative timeline Thanos teaming up with regular Thanos, a Frank Castle Ghost Rider, a brief showing of the Hulk, and then finally a surprise attack killing an amped SS with the power of the Fallen One and Mjolnir.... Awful.

The only reason King Thanos brought past Thanos into his future is because he needed the past Thanos to kill him in order to be with death. Gonna leave this here, just in case some people see it. In this comic, King Thanos received, like, an astronomical power boost. It's quite made clear in the story that he's far more powerful than present Thanos. I'd say it's why he managed to hold on and to kill the Fallen One Surfer.

The others have done well enough bagging on the in-story shortcomings. My issues are with mechanics.
When there's a lot of text, you really ought to provide sufficient time to *read* it all before transitioning to the next page. Also, about 30% of the text boxes are so small, the text is unreadable. (So sorry, I left my electron microscope in my other pants.)
Finally, dead air for the last several panels? One would imagine you'd have stuck in something vaguely...funereal, just to close it all out and drive home the point.

Norrin lands a lethal blow on the younger thanos By smacking half of his face off. Leaving a long enough opening for the old thanos to thrust his sword through silver surfers back. While young thanos dies he witnesses his older self with death. King thanos walks toward death to marry her weeping and while older thanos kisses her to consumate the marriage. Banner walks to norrins dead body and weeps and in a fit of rage picks up the hammer only to be found worthy. Hulk sets his gaze to the old titan glimmering and with more vigour than a young self, hulk starts to walk towards the titan saying under his breath "I'm no ones slave"................. Issue ends!
( the writers should not have hyped up norrin so much and thanos not have a bitter sweet ending. I know the comic is about thanos winning but dont punch yourself in the leg with norrin going out like a amateur.

He can hear and feel the heartbeats of every life-form around him in over a lightyear. The Surfer has said this himself. Almost nobody should be able to sneak attack him. Just inconsistent writing I guess. I suppose writers have not read every other instance of a character appearing in comic books prior to writing a new story. Marvel and DC should both write up DO and DO NOT lists for the characters which list what they have accomplished, their capabilities and a brief history of them so writers creating new stories don't screw up.

I thought that for a second. Like, he'd just Hulk out and Hulk, along with banner, would heal. But the sword Thanos is using Surtur's Twilight. It's destruction, basically. So think how Superman is weak against magic bc magic bends the rules of science(fiction) based character. So he's basically killed by the weapon that's wielded by the Fire Giant that brings about Ragnarok, the end of days. So it doesn't dismiss Hulk, just overrides that attribute of his character.
