Indeed that canyon looks spectacular. Thanks for sharing not only the drive but the imagery of the rock formations. I especially liked the rock that you passed at 13:10 and then again at around 22:50 that shows the erosion from water that took probably millions of years as I don't imagine it gets much rain but when it does, look out! In case of flash flood move to higher ground. Haha.

Yeah I had a hard time trying to find it the cell phone reception's spotty. Also if you could show video of the trip from beginning to the end without any cuts, it would help people trying to find their way there.

I got an FJ this year and had never been wheeling before. My wife and I have been out twice now, learning as we go. It’s a blast dude. There are plenty of forums and RUclips videos out there for beginners that want to get into it.
Zodee Beats the FJ cruiser forum has a lot of info in it, but you gotta dig deep sometimes. I also find the Tacoma world forum has a lot of cool stuff in it too.
Great video. I've been on the trail up to the horseshoes (where you ended your video) There are so many trails around secret pass. Check out the Narrows. And across the highway is the "Sleeping Princess". That is a tough one. I've only been on the easy part. This was awesome to see this video! I hiked the rest.

Another great video! Was wondering about the MT winch mount. Any issues with approach dropping of some of those rocks? I plan to get one but my only concern is that the winch doesn't seem as protected as other bumper styles
No problems with approach, which is why I got this bumper. The winch looks less protected, but it would be pretty hard for anything to actually hit it. If you want maximun clearance this bumper is the way to go!
No there were 2 ways out back toward bullhead- just would have kept going toward bullhead and a right turn at some short fence posts would have taken you to the panty tree
If you ever find your way back down here, message me, and I'll take you to some more great local spots. You got lucky with that rock chute at 19:00 as recently people stacked all those medium sized rocks to make it easier. That used to be a rocker killer! I love Secret Pass!!
Somebody put a lot of effort into stacking all those rocks looks like! That's a lot of rocks. It's a beautiful trail! I'd love to see more in the area. I know there are more trails, some of which I shied away from doing solo.
I wouldn't mind guiding you, yet staying out of your shots for your videos. Some of these trails are a long ways from help, and it's not smart doing them alone. Plus locals tend to have a better handle on the better spots to go
I would like to invite you back to washington. naches is a great place and the fj would do great! the 4th of july weekend is a good time at the moon rocks. plenty of great footage to be filmed!

Secret pass is where years ago the Indians would escape the cavalry going up through the canyon and disappearing up through the many canyon branches. Was their secret. There is a much closer way to get to it.
Being an AZ Native I know how nasty these trails can be, the more you do them you start to realize how inadequate IFS can be on certain trails no matter how much you spend $$$ on IFS to squeeze out just a few inches of useable travel... which usually relates to more maintenance and a shit on road ride...... then its time to go the solid axle swap route!!!!
That’s why I own an 05 jeep LJ with a long arm suspension and 2012 Jeep JK axles!! Don’t get me wrong I absolutely love Toyota reliability but still cant beat the solid front axle for some nasty trails!!!
We do it in Ranger SXS. It was used by local Indians to retreat into or attack from. Soldiers we un able to figure out how the Indians traversed the mountains so fast.
The camera never shows how rough the terrain is. They need to change that sign to "Roundtrip Trail. High Clearance and 4WD Required or you might not come back out".
I’ve heard that Indians used the hidden pass to evade soldiers after raids. As a result of the “secret” the soldiers couldn’t figure out how they kept escaping.
US Army traversed the Black Mountains via Union & Sitgreaves passes heading west. The Indians used Secret Pass to gain advantage and attack the soldiers from the west side of the mountains....🥸
