    The ability to change the sky so easily really is amazing. Stunning photos. Sky replacements really do ROCK! Thanks for the tutorial. The reflection must be a new feature.

    Thanks much for your continued guidance. I had some doubt about Luminar AI as a Luminar 4 user. Getting warmed to the features and now the updates.

    As I had another portrait software, I still have not made the change to Luminar AI but this video on replacement sky has convinced me that it is a program I should try . Thanks Darleen

      Which portrait software are you using? I'm curious to do a comparison.

      Have you done my 5-day editing challenge? Inside you can get my raw files to practice with and a free 7-day trial for Luminar AI that is NOT available anywhere else. www.digitalphotomentor.com/photo-editing-challenge/

      @@DigitalPhotoMentor I am intending to do it ( like so many things) but , I just have not have had the time. I have been using PortraitPro for several years. If one uses it manually, it is quite good. I have version 18. I always try their upgrades but have never felt upgrading was worth the cost. I just tried the upgrade 21. Has some nice new features, but I think that I will spend the money on Lumina AI. Though, as you suggest, I will do your challenge first

    I think there is a lot of room for improvements on the reflections part. Because it actually gives an entirely different look compared to the sky we are replacing with. Like you can experiment with it. If you see original sky's reflection (with clouds so it's easier to know), you can see that where it's actually going wrong when you replace the sky artificially.

    • @DigitalPhotoMentor

      Sure there is room for improvement but in many ways it does a much better job than PS which doesn't even do reflections automatically

    Great tutorial Darlene! One question - I have some of my own skies in a folder on my desktop. Is it possible to have them show up as the same mini-previews under the sky selection tab as the ones that are built into Skylum?

    Thanks Darlene, very good tutorial. Can I add 2 or more Augmented Sky AI in the same picture?

    • @DigitalPhotoMentor
      @DigitalPhotoMentor  3 года назад

      Not at this time no, just one element. But if you have an image of birds of something you want to add, as long as the background is transparent you can do that using the Texture overlay tool.

    Thank You so much for this tutorial! Loved it. Have a question. When I replace sky around architectural structures using Luminar AI, it leaves a Halo effect around the subject. Can't figure out how to get rid of it....

    • @DigitalPhotoMentor
      @DigitalPhotoMentor  3 года назад

      Try using the sliders - bring up the Fix edges one and lower Close Gaps, or the other way around. Try raising Global. Try different combinations.

    What do we do when we add an augmented object to original sky and want to add its reflection?

    • @DigitalPhotoMentor
      @DigitalPhotoMentor  9 месяцев назад

      Using Luminar AI? Add it as another layer, flip it upside down and add the reflection.

    I have not been impressed with the reflections as they do not look like the clouds in the sky. Hopefully, Skylum can do better next time.

      I agree with David Crooks. Very disappointed. We’ve been promised this fir a long time and we get something that isn’t working right. Very disappointed with Skylum. Should have returned during the 30 day window but it was over Christmas and I forgot.
