Yes! That's right. There's still poverty in Vietnam today. But people in certain areas are much richer than your life. If you're a smart person, you should be able to see the diversity of the other country.😎
do you know a country without poor people...look at NYC with so many homeless
Thank you for sharing!
Sài Gòn, VN is prettier than I remember prior to 1975. Thank you for your video here ! I have NOT been back to VN since then, so many BAD memories from the war. But I NEVER forget where i came from! Vietnamese people are the hardest and smart people that I have been working with and most importantly delivering the best result of their work. Thru out my careers as an engineering in semiconductor and technologies I worked hard and walked my way up from bottom to highest possible that I can be in the last 35yrs and I alway helped my fellow people without their knowing by promoting them and get them into the most comparative salaries. If ALL the most Vietnamese talents from abroad come back to VN and join together and I am sure VN will be one the most comparative in the world.
I am looking forward to see many nice videos from you and others in the future!!
Thank you for watching my friend~! Yes. Vietnam has changed a lot. It is very different from what many people think during the war. Today, many young people enjoy the life of this advanced city with hope and smile is from hardness of many people at last time. Please look forward to many videos of Vietnam in this channel
Người Việt Nam trước năm 75 họ tị nạn ở mỹ canada.họ luôn hận thù bịa đặt xuyên tạc Việt Nam cho đến ngày nay 😂😂
Thanks for video ,good camera but voice little problem
where's the Shocking part? Lots of new places on Pasteur St even after few years
Some people who went over seas from 1975 or 80s are stuck with their past. They could not accept the fact that the swamps and wild soils is now a vitality beautiful area. Motherland for all Vietnamese who could help himself escape from his own disgrace of the losers
Still don't understand your comment. What did you imply.
@@Eastern.InSight Saigon and rapidly other big cities as well, has lost its charm from over development and over commercialization. The countryside landscape is more appealing.
@@Eastern.InSightWhat do you mean ?
it is look like newport beach main street in california..
Many kind of different interesting in Saigon
Looks like Newport Beach
Vietnam looks alot different then it did in 67 & 68 I was outside of VungTau lthen .
Well I was in vietnam 67 68 it's sure changed alot since those times
Yeah they won 😂
10:00 ur welcome

Thanks
That's Nguyen Phuong Trang, famous fitness model in VN
While Democrats sponsored criminality is on the rise in America it's wonderful to see Vietnam's beauty growing.
Stupid comment.
the stores and street are great but not too many customers? is it on weekday?
this is rich small town ,,not tourist area,,just for local..
good
Why
There are huge economic disparities in Vietnam.
Wow!
dude we call thao dien Foreigner port because only foreigner flock together there to live mostly they in their own small society
Looked like a lot of Russians and Koreans. Sad they are catered to instead of the Vietnamese citizens.
they are rich foreigner live in vietnam
Earned the right to run the show.
Your audio has bad noise
BEAUTIFULL CAFÉS & RETAURANTS 👍🧡🌴
👍
I was in vung tau I was in navy
Most locals can’t afford to eat out at these restaurants.
Bạn nói sai hoàn toàn, người dân việt nam đa số đủ ăn khá không nghèo đói nhé
You can say that about nice restaurants in all countries, even the US.
They choose not to go to these restaurants because they don't like western foods as much. But you go to a sushi restaurant and there are more locals than expats
Bạn đến từ quốc gia nào.bạn có đủ tiền để hằng ngày đi ăn nhà hàng ở quốc gia bạn...ngu ngốc
?? U don’t know anything
No commentary or prices of the places ?
Price? 2$ for drink. 5$ is enough for your lunch in here
no homeless on street...may be homeless afraid rich people..
in Vietnam not many homeless on the street, compare other country. I think so
Saigon is awesome

Rich Việt nam still exports laborers to other Asian countries and Vietnamese average income 300 usd per month. Something posted wrongly here
If Vietnam's income increases to 1,000 USD/month, there will still be people who go to richer countries to work like Mexico with very high income but still want to cross the border to the US.
A person working at McDonald’s in the U.S makes more than a doctor in Vietnam. Let that sink in
@@M.E.T.R.O.11.11You compared salaries but forgot expenses. The experienced or high level doctors (not students or young doctors start working) can buy house, car and save money easier than normal and low-level staffs of McDonald (not mention about bosses and managers) even in the US. For example, a Viet dentist doctor (good job for doctors in Vietnam) may have lower income than a Luxembourg doctor but still high and he easily can buy properties and travel to US or buy estates overseas.
@@M.E.T.R.O.11.11 you’re so ignorant
Not that rich because the video is only HD and not 4K :)
And to think they say the USA lost the Vietnam war? Doesn't look that way to me?
Quá đẹp
Streets still narrow, poor infrastructure and gap between rich and poor still huge
But getting better~! Surprising developments
You have no idea. Just stay where you are.
@@travelvietnam4kthey been saying it’s getting better for the past 15 plus years. ..
Thao Dien is originally a village with shit infrastructure. It got "rich" because it was popular with expats and get gentrified.
Lots of security… wonder why… what’s the crime like…?
0.0001% crime...security is for precautions.
no crime in here sir..so safety. all people live here are police..
Họ là bảo vệ chứ không phải an ninh 😂😂😂. ở Việt Nam an toàn nhất thế giới hãy tìm hiểu
Popeyes có ở vn ah.
what was the shocking part ? no customers ? rich ? more like trendy...
Vietnamese might not need to travel or migrating to the US anymore. Take a look and anyone think this is another US city😅. Somedays, they might change Ho Chi Minh to San Francisco to accompdate Western backpackers, expats…. I don’t a anything resemble Viet Nam at all.
The western bucks are coming . I'd like to retire there.
Yes~! Good luck 👍
@@travelvietnam4k Thank you ! Couple more years and I'm retired. Really looking at Vietnam to retire at.
Hahaha!🇺🇸🍷👍😎
I live here, but i am not rich:)
But rich as the people who live there right? Otherwise you can’t afford it.
while these shops are great, the area mostly smells of garbage and it‘s not walkable. so many better spaces like saigon pearl that are way better
smell the gabage is in sanfrancisco,,not in vietnam..
Their country money compared to us is too little. The president makes only 615 USD per month lol
but they win in every metric
$615 per month can give you better life in Vietnam than $6150 in a city like New York lol.

The former Vietnamese communists of yesterday have become the nouveau riche of Vietnam
Cộng sản ở đây là toàn dân..... trừ thu hoang lai cang vnch
Not bad to become a nouveau rich than doing nails in someone else’s soil 🤫🫢
@@silverlily4681 Yesterday's communists plundered the property of the inhabitants of Saigon and it is impossible to get them back.
@@Amanpuri-uh6ro blah blah blah blah blah 🤮
I never been to Vietnam but if I do I make sure to hit up the red light district
Yes you should 👍
The rest of the area is poor and poor
🤔🤔🤔
No they are not. This place don't even looks rich in Vietnam at all.
poor in your mind,,but rich in their live
There are almost no pedestrians, everyone rides on a motorbike. That would drive me nuts!
Then you should just stay home enjoying your couch potato’s lifestyle 👎🏼
i would not go there or support that place after all the American that lost their lives and are still missing and kids that lost their parents in the war I was in the army at that time the hell with Vietnam
Americans should mind their business back then. good they were defeated. vietnamese lost a lot of ppl too, not to forget also the chemical attacks they had, they still have a lot of deformed kids due to this and they were defending their country from attackers. they have my sympathy 🙂 on the other hand Americans not.
blame ur govt instead ... you people brought the war on yourself
@@Vortextzy The Hell with WHO??? ... America INVENTED the War & Millions were murdered- that's when they invented "Carpet Bombing" 4 Million people Died .... way More Vietnamese than Americans ....
you are the invader.. so dont be hater
Me love you long time

Sorry for a poor team visiting a fake rich area of a very poor country. Eat my bread for ur time.
Vietnam is a middle income country by global standards.

@@anhhuydo6083 IMF, World Bank are not reliable source? Go look for it yourself! Vietnam is not a rich country but it's definitely not a VERY POOR country as tutruong said.
