Thank you Jacob for all your videos. After watching I decided to order. Can't wait to have one for my home in NYC. I currently use Blueair...which I'll move to my office once Molekule arrives. I already had $100 coupon discount sent to me otherwise I would have purchased through your link. But wanted to thank you for taking time to share your experience with those of in search of best in clean air. I'll let you know how it goes after I have if for a couple weeks. Have a great day. -MD
You would have to be an idiot to spend $799 on a product that has the worse warranty in the industry 1 year. When you replace the UV lights you will be screwed! And that is a fact, the company does not want to take responsibility after a year, and that tells you everything, don't throw your money away no matter how good they claim it is!
This machine has will not address the dust in any room, the flow rate is terrible unless you put it on high, and no one would be able to stand the noice unless you put it in a room and close the door!
I'm curious too. I am specifically looking for a filter to deal with a mold issue in my house and feel like PECO might be the way to go, vs. the possibility of mold growing on a HEPA filter. All of the critical reviews seem to be criticizing the volume and flow of air (like what you would want in a wildfire) which isn't my most pressing concern. I am curious to know how you feel about yours now and what difference, if any, you see/feel after using it for awhile.
Hey Jacob, any ideas what the power consumption is like on this bad boy? Do you keep it on when you're in a room or run it for a short time and switch it off?
I let it run 24/7. From what i've read, it uses less electricity than the common incandescent light bulb. They have the approximations in Watts listed here. help.molekule.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004308467-How-much-energy-does-Molekule-use-
There is an “Auto” mode , that most will use... it detects, then adjusts speed of fan & whether or not the light need be on that breaks down the offenders. It DOES have a unique break in smell (not offensive... just noticeable)... 3 weeks on now w/ mine & the smell is gone.
I looked at the filter several days ago. It didn't look dirty or anything. Especially since it's only been running for less than two weeks. I did notice a couple larger pieces of dust, and I think there was even a gnat in it. Haha! I bought it from the fourth pre order batch. They took $100 off and included a year of filter replacements free. They have already started regular orders and are still giving the same discount I had. They didn't give me anything for it, no. I just wanted to make the video since I spent months trying to find info and closeups on the product and their was nothing. So I wanted to help others during their research.
Just uploaded a video in response to your question. Kind of a quick throw together, but I think you'll get the idea. :) ruclips.net/video/A_1sM5_T_z4/видео.html
Just got mine today. And just like anything i order there is always problems. First it will not connect to my wifi, everything else in my house connects but this. Also on the display screen, it only ask what size my room is, thats the only question, nothing about age of home or pets. if i can't get this to work, its going back tomorrow.
Some, like VOCs (harmful airborne chemicals), are not destroyed by UV-C light at all. ... Additionally, UV-C light produces ozone, which is a harmful lung irritant. Molekule uses Photo Electrochemical Oxidation (PECO) technology. Unlike germicidal UV light, PECO does not use light to directly break down contaminants
They never explain why it doesn't. They state: "Air purification technologies that produce harmful by-products, like ozone, are air ionizers and ozone generators". This is patently false, as photocatalytic air purifiers that use UV light produce ozone. They repeat over and over again that they destroy ozone, which might be true, but they most likely create it as well. It's a cycle rather than a function. By the way, I just read that one of their patents expired because fees were not paid (!) and if you check the patents they list, only one of them is related to the specific technology. Pretty weak situation.
I was interested in the product but when the background music started I could no longer concentrate on the speaking. Why must everyone put music in front of the spoken content? I'm outta here 😕
For me it lasted only a couple days. If I get super close and smell the air coming directly out of it it has a slight odor. But it's not noticeable anymore like when I first got it. Their explanation was right for me. Maybe 3/4 days before I really noticed a drop in odor while having it run 24/7. help.molekule.com/hc/en-us/articles/115004594568-Initial-filter-break-in
*copy paste* We all know PCO produces Ozone. The Molekule doesn't use PCO. It uses PECO. It's completely different. It has nothing to do with a patent. It has to do with a completely different scientific reaction. The white paper proves Ozone is not an issue and has been proven to reduce it. If your purpose is to troll, please don't. Thank you. help.molekule.com/hc/en-us/articles/218864897-Does-Molekule-produce-ozone-
The smell didn’t go away for me - even after a week of use. I’m considering RETURNING my Molekule, because the smell is like burning plastic. I’m wondering if mine is defective and am waiting to hear back from customer service. Needless to say, I had really high hopes, and I’m disappointed.
I have watched a video about how to choose a good air purifier, but it is in Chinese. ruclips.net/video/6fe_TPIOGjE/видео.html Here is the link, if you want to check it out.
I tend to be fairly sensitive to light at night. I haven't had an issue with it. I'm sure it would be by preference of course. There is a night mode if you prefer the light to be off. Since the light is down inside of it, it's not like it's shining all over the room. If anything it shines straight up with a blue glow. To me it really isn't bad at all, as it's not shining it's glow into my face when sleeping.
Jacob Huggins thanks! I'm not too sensitive but the better half can be a times. I think I could limit issues with placement too. Appreciate all the info!
My wife had a problem with it. I didn't. I ended up returning it because the smell in small rooms was bad , combined with my wife's issue with lights in the room. Molekule was good about the return, although I had to send them about 4 emails before they replied.
3 weeks for me til smell gone (see my explanation on another). Light DOES bother me... am woking on ideas as to a shade or slotted thingee to let air out, but contain lite... worth the effort, as MY quality of breathing &sleep has dramatically improved. Wish I got paid to say that, lol
Molekule...what an absolute joke! $800 for something that looks nice, but that Wirecutter said "Doing nothing would literally be better than running the Molekule." I'll stick with my Levoit air purifier. Less than $115 the first year (Core 300 model: $90 + 1 filter replacement: $23) vs running the Molekule for 1 year at a cost of $800 for the Air purifier, $180 for 3 additional pre-filters, and $80 for 1 PICO filter. So that's $115 from Levoit vs. $1060 from Molekule.
I looked at the price.......ALMOST $800😭😭 and I have a dog like omg every single day every season for years I always sneeze hard core and always have a stuffy nose. I’ve had a sinus infection for awhile now😭🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️
VIRGELEY P. If you can download the app “Affirm” I was able to finance my Molekule through them. I paid a good interest rate and was able to pay it off early with them. If you pay it off early they don’t charge you the full interest amount. I’d look into it. It was definitely worth it for me.
I have one, I have bad allergy’s that makes me miserable. I feel it helps ,the air feel so much fresher and clean. The app works as it should. I like it. Lets see next may 2020 I have two of them.
jaackasss32 It DOES have an ongoing problem w/ android app ... disconnects at random... need to unplug, restart ea time... arghhh ! ONLY an iphone works properly w/ it... they NEED to make this known !!!
Maybe you should research and look at the white paper instead of wasting* your time making foolish comments. Don’t focus on CADR only. If that’s your focus, I’m sorry. Educate yourself on more important filtration like the PECO process that Molekule uses. Info from Dyson on why CADR isn’t everything: www.dyson.co.uk/air-treatment/CADR.html
It comes with a full one-year warranty from the original shipping date covering defects in materials and workmanship. To make sure I don't have any issues for at least 3 years, I went in and purchased a SquareTrade warranty to extend it for 2 additional years just to be precautious.
I went with their "Misc. Electronics" plan. For the Molekule price it was $149.99. I figured i'd better pay a little more that would cover the full cost of any possible repairs I may need to do in the future. Overall it is definitely a little bit of an investment, but I can breathe much better than before. That's what matters for me. www.squaretrade.com/miscellaneous-electronics

Thank you for watching! I'm glad it helped with your decision process. Hope it works well for you! :)
where can i get a $100 coupon???
You can get a $75 coupon here: share.molekule.com/x/oAr4AH
Thank you for the full-on review. I really appreciate it.
This was a really good review. Thanks👍🏻
Very cool. and thanks for showing details of the app!
Let’s get an update

And that is a fact, the company does not want to take responsibility after a year, and that tells you everything, don't throw your money away no matter how good they claim it is!
Can you tell me if you noticed a significant decrease in dust around your home?
No
however he noticed a big money decrease of around 800 $
This machine has will not address the dust in any room, the flow rate is terrible unless you put it on high, and no one would be able to stand the noice unless you put it in a room and close the door!
@@massimobernardo- LOL
It’s now 2019, how’s the app experience and do you feel it’s still worth buying the purifier?

Thanks for the video and coupon, Jacob.
May have been a great review. I have no idea, because I could not hear you.
The only thing this thing is collecting is your personal info to send to it's ad devision.

85 watts allegedly

It DOES have a unique break in smell (not offensive... just noticeable)... 3 weeks on now w/ mine & the smell is gone.
can't hear you!
Can you show us the dirty filter after you used it for awhile. Also, did you get any discount or free product from this company? Thanks!
I looked at the filter several days ago. It didn't look dirty or anything. Especially since it's only been running for less than two weeks. Jacob Huggins Thank you so much. You are very kind!
When you buy a Molekule they offer you a 75 dollar gift card for every person who uses you link for the 75 discount - just to be transparent.
Just got mine today. And just like anything i order there is always problems. First it will not connect to my wifi, everything else in my house connects but this. Do they accept a Discover Card?
I really hope it's not destroying oxygen 0:51 :D
It's creating toxic ozone, which is worse. Every PECO UV light purifier produces it.

It doesn't according to their FAQ and white paper: help.molekule.com/hc/en-us/articles/218864897-Does-Molekule-produce-ozone-

Volume is too low

Its to throw you off from concentrating on making a good decision
Sonia Mckinley underrated comment
did you find that it gives off a slight unpleasant smell? I've had for two days and still smell some of that. Curious if you had the same experience

It''s most likely the smell of ozone!

Cosmic Lawn Mower That’s so weird. The smell never went away, so I returned my Molekule. ☹️
is this works?
Great review but the volume of your voice is quite low
Does this guy get paid by the word?
This clown gets payed for this, so there goes his credibility!
It has been established this product does little to nothing for your air.
That HEPA filter looks like a joke.
Play Dead yup it’s another gimmick air purifier. Iq air, blue air, and Austin air are what real air purifiers look like.
I got a blue air 411 because the others are too professional and expensive for me. Plus, my room only got 10m^2 : ]
Play Dead you made a great choice going with the blue air!
I have watched a video about how to choose a good air purifier, but it is in Chinese. ruclips.net/video/6fe_TPIOGjE/видео.html Here is the link, if you want to check it out.
It’s a cheap furnace filter made to cylinder shape
Is it very bright at night? I had hoped it might be shielded from the blue light being visible.
I tend to be fairly sensitive to light at night. I haven't had an issue with it. I'm sure it would be by preference of course. There is a night mode if you prefer the light to be off. Where is this made?
the nano filter production is US based, the rest of the device is made in Asia
Korea!
Sponsored? Please confirm either way or we'll classify it as such. Thanks!
Jason Whitehurst Not sponsored. I paid with Affirm like most others. 🤷🏼♂️

Love your videos dude! Only thing I don't like about you - haah you aint an android user ;)
I'll just ignore that last part. Thanks! Haha
