  • I've been wanting to make some apothecary/ witch/ science jars for my haunt display but I didn't want to cut up highlighter markers like in other videos.
I used Spirit fog juice as a base since it's non toxic and doesn't freeze. I added blacklight paint and discount glassware and BAM!
The light I use is a Welkey 80 watt light-WELKEY PLUS 2 Pack 80W UV LED Black Light Flood Light with Plug(6ft Cable), IP66 Waterproof, for Blacklight Party, Stage Lighting, Aquarium, Body Paint, Fluorescent Poster, Neon Glow, Glow in The Dark www.amazon.com/dp/B07Q2QHRJS/...
My blacklight paints are-Midnight Glo UV Paint Acrylic Black Light Reactive Bright Neon Colors Set of 8 Bottles Great for Crafts, Art & DIY Projects, Blacklight Party(0.75 oz) www.amazon.com/dp/B07DLFT68T/...

Your jar collection is awesome! I did this with neon poster paint but I diluted it with water. Laundry detergent is made with phosphorus and will glow with a blacklight. So will tonic water. I used a small aquarium air pump so my chemistry glasses would bubble. Cool effect!

Thank you!! I did almost add detergent with the fog fluid but I didn't want the extra bubbles lol. I am going to run an aquarium pump in some bigger jars though for Halloween!

I use laundry detergent for a blue glow.

It's works too! Most have phosphorus in them and work great! Plus If it breaks is just soapy water!

Amazon carries a ton of blacklight or uv bulbs for pretty reasonable prices. They have a huge selection too! Hope this helps.

will it always glow as long as you will shine the light on it?

Yep but you have to shake them up cause the paint will settle at the bottom after a few days. I have mine underlit with blacklight so they glow really nice.

No problem at all! If you use the flourescent markers there's no shaking needed.

@@CobwebsandCandlesticks you mean just to draw on the bottle? i guess it wont be very bright because the layer is very thin, right?

@@0cards0 nope, you can pull the guts out of a flourescent magic marker and soak them in the fog juice instead of using the glow paint.
