I find the description of Allende's presidency as a "regime" to be rather insulting to his legacy. He was not a dictator; Augusto Pinochet was a dictator.
Everywhere where there are rules and some kind of power structure is a regime, it would be a mistake to take the word “regime” as the bad part. Usually you should say something like “murderous regime” or some bad characteristic and regime, but I understand your view point as the word is often demonized in western media and used only with targeted countries or governments that are not aligned with the hegemonic powers. Because of this only a few people actually get what a “regime” is (mainly those who do diet lol).
And don’t get me wrong, you SHOULD be angry that the word is used that way but it is not inherently wrong, it is just that it should be used with more countries instead of just the ones that the uh... “you know who” is trying to put shit on.
@@Pabloto-dq3sx Fair enough. I just find it so ridiculous how hypocritical the West has made some of the words in the English language, and specifically in this case the use of the word "regime". I personally prefer to place the origin of its connotations, to be honest, on the Reich and Soviets.

I feel like this song is what all communist/leftist sounds should be like. Not about a party, not about some grand revolutionary plan. Its about people uniting to fight against the evils of fascism and capitalism.

The CIA murdered Allende, and placed Pinochet who then murdered thousands of people. Of course the context is important.
