- Lego WW1 Battle for Fort Vaux Stop Motion Brickfilm
Fort Vaux was the second fort to fall in the Battle of Verdun after Fort Douaumont which was captured by a small German raiding party in February 1916. Fort Vaux had been modernized before 1914 with reinforced concrete top protection like Fort Douaumont and was not destroyed by a German heavy artillery fire, which had included shelling by 16-inch howitzers. The superstructure of the fort was badly damaged but the garrison, the deep interior corridors and stations remained intact, when the fort was attacked by German troops on June 2.
The defense of Fort Vaux was marked by the heroism and endurance of the garrison, including Major Sylvain-Eugene Raynal. Under his command, the besieged French garrison repulsed German assaults, including fighting underground from barricades inside the corridors, during the first big engagement inside a fort during World War I.

I love the french and german voices, it brings more real details and The fort is so nice , good work guy !!
Thanks. The voices are excerpts from Battlefield 1, Verdun and Mount and Blade games.
Oh the narration! I remember watching the documentary when I was small. The fort looks so well done and the gore top notch as usual.
Hey thanks!
Yes this is really cool!
Thanks
One thing the narration isn’t made by him it’s by EA there’s a game that has the same thing.
Its from Battlefield 1
Nice job bro, the isolation room did you get inspiration from the zombie thing in bf1?
YES. Thanks.
Archicisco Actually the guy has Shellshock
Aidan Guevara or something else
@@sbraypaynt That's what shellshocked is
@@KingwoodStudios that scene was PURE nightmare fuel
Impressive job, I love the set design and the upgrade of your French troops. Well done and keep up the good work!

Wow I love all the BF1 references!
TheBrickBaron Tf this is ww1 not bf1
Blitz you do realise that the initial narration, the gun sounds, some of the battle cries and the isolement room is ALL BF1 right?
david fletcher Oh i see
2:21 cheeky bf1 kill sound
My Favorite part was the first guy who got melted by the Wex lol.
I hear Verdun, Battlefield 1, and a documentary I forgot about. Amazing video! :D
great animation! just a few nit-pics though, the french didnt have the mas-36 well, until 1936. Also they didnt use those pouches back then, but that doesnt matter too much.
Thanks. The French machine gun is a standard M1915 Chauchat.
yes i know, but the rifles were mas-36 rifles, which were used in ww2.
WaffenBricks yeah but brickarms didnt carry WW1 French rifles for a while
arisakas are good to use, also they've had a lebel prototype for over a year now.
lol one had an m1 grand
The interior with pipes and all looks so amazing as well as the fort
Thanks so much for the inspiration!
Hey thanks
Great atmosphere of war, with a surprising ending. Of course excellent decorations and special effects. Good job .. At your orders.
Thanks YC!
Give us a tutorial how to create those effects
4:24 well, he certainly got his daily dose of PTSD
Those Napoleonic Wars sounds ... just splendid.
Thanks. Hard to find French voices.
Very impressive, I did not expect such a high quality video upon clicking this video, and to say I was pleasantly surprised would be an understatement, very good job my friend.
I love the end when the guy burps and the German guys like kill it with FIRE!!!!!
Very well done the effort you put in to these, like how you did big Bertha bomb in the fort, like how you put the zombie Easter egg from battlefield one in there please keep doing these World War I Stop Motion.
Battlefield 1 Master This is not just a Battlefield 1 easter egg. That easter egg was based on a true story when one of the French soldiers got crazy and then got thrown in that kinda room.
I didn’t know that thanks for telling me man
French:*holds position*
H1tler: 'well see about that'
I love the use if editing the gore.

Lol when the French guy melted that was the funniest shit
The isolement bit was a nice touch!
Thanks Bucky!
I like the references to battlefield 1
Yes. Thanks.
I Like feel of it it has a 90s commercial vibe
Fort Vaux held out for seven days - the last three without water, inflicting 2700 German casualties while losing 100 men,. When the garrison surrendered, for the last time in history, they were accorded the honors of war, with the German commanding officer calling his troops to attention and present arms (the rifle salute). as they marched out. Garrison commander Major Reynaud (a reservist) had lost his sword in the battle, so the commander of the attacking 7th German Army, was presented him with a new one by the army commander, Wilhelm the Crown Prince of Germany. The defense of the fort inspired the Maginot Line, the West Wall (Siegfried Line) and Stalin Line as well as defenses such as Sevastopol.
I hear ya
Not Reynaud, Reynal
Most of the French fortresses were shelled constantly and the sound of whistling shells would strike fear into the French soldiers. It was a terrible and horrifying moment that a soldier could ever live through.
It looks really authentic
Brick warriors helmets???? Awesomeness
Nice work!!!! I love those fort de vaux made entire of legos!!! And i love the references from bf1 like the isolement room, gun sounds etc.etc.!!!
Battlefield 1 but in lego thats great i love that game and this reminds me of me playing on this map dam the memories lats but not least the easter egg with the monster u added from the game is also great

I like how well you use the sound effects front mount and blade napoleonic wars
thanks
I really like the fort detail
"Si vous plait...no" *blam*, I shouldn't have fucking laughed at that
Maybe ive been playing to much battlefield 1 if I recognized all the noises in this
That fort is awesome!
Great job :) pretty gruesome but great job
Awesome! You films are always so great! Got any animating techniques/tips?
Thanks. I film at 15 frames per second and I use photoshop to draw in a lot of special effects right into the pictures.
I also purposely shake the camera when I film the first 2-3 pictures of an explosion. If you look back at my very first few stop motions--they weren't that great, so practice and experience help a lot over time.
KingwoodStudios Thanks. And if you have any film recommendations for me, I'm open to Ideas.
4:31 lol WW1 Zombies mode, i wish there was a game like that that didn't screw it up like Call of Duty did with setting it in an Iron Harvest Style Alternate Reality
Wow big fort
Ww1 was really brutal
Amazing detail though
Dam good job man very impressive 👏👏👏
Amazing well done
3:07 Flamethrowers were horrifying to those that it where used against but only the German forces would of used this devastating weapon. Well even if they used this weapon the flames it self didn't kill the enemy most of the time but that the enemy would flee the fortress or trench and would get shot down by normal weapons such as rifles, machine guns and maybe shotguns.
Agreed
Awesome
Thanks UBP
That was great!
Good with that French and German speaking nice
nice job keep up the good work
Good video! Like the use of the battlefield 1 narration !
Like how you added ketchup for blood
Thanks. Its red fingerpaint.
Glorious thanks for inspiring me to create stop motion
Thanks!
KingwoodStudios really thanks your videos are awesome
I recommend shooting at 30 frames per-second and when the minifigures run have them skip two-three studs other wise good video
Best WW1 French Verdun battle I have ever seen great job!
Cool u inspire me to start my own lego animation channel love your vids
thanks GDG
reminds me of battlefield 1
Good traduction for french voice !! Vive la France 🇫🇷
Gracias Senor
I really hope there was subtitles because i didn't really make out what they were saying so i hope this gets edited soon.
June 1st! My b-day.
Cool!!!! This is my language!!!! (The German)
Man. That animation is great. It has that gritty and dark tone. But sadly people burning animation is actually bad. But no worries, I don't blame you. You'd just better try use regular fire pieces next time instead of melting animation (and use some dark music next time). And fort itself is great as well!
Never knew that shell shocked soilders turned into zombies. XD lol
This is favorite film
Thanks, check out some of my newer vids
😨😰😱that was so cool as well as the most gory Lego video I have ever seen!
thanks
