I was about to write a comment about the chanting being "Ody-sseus" instead of "Poly-phemus" but you got it lmao
Also I love the inclusion of Eurymachus ("Old King!" Guy aka Fake Ass Polites) because he was one of the leaders in the original story. It is his idea to ambush and kill Telemachus since his mistress knew when he'd be returning, as she was one of Odysseus's slaves.

Eurymachus was more Odysseus than Polites, with Amphinomus being the Polites of the suitors.

@@GianniLantigua Tru, I mostly called him Fake Ass Polites because of him using "open arms". Ody never actually uses the term except when he's echoing Polites during the song.

@@GianniLantigua Huh, I guess that makes Antinous the suitor counterpart to Eurylochus which....yeah, that checks out.

Penelope could have saved SO much effort if she just poisoned the 108 suitors and blamed a random cook. And before you say 'oh She's a good woman she wouldn't do that', this was Ancient Greece and our girl was down BAD for her man. When Ody told her about all the shit he did, all she wanted to know was, is this really her man, then she had ZERO f's to give about the 708 dead Ithican's it took to bring him home.

Friendly reminder that she's a spartan, so she is not adverse to violence. I personally headcanon that she was planning it, but didn't want to break xenia (sacred hospitality, which is governed by Zeus), and since she didn't witness them doing anything firsthand, she couldn't confirm that they'd broken it first. However, that adds an interesting extra layer to Hold Them Down, because if Odysseus didn't kill them, they probably could overpower Telemachus, but the second they try and break into her room, she knows they've broken xenia, and therefore are no longer under its protection, and I doubt she has twelve axes just for show.

I like how in Epic Penelope uses the olive tree wedding bed to prove that Odysseus is still the same person,
If I’m not mistaken, In the odyssey he’s the one who uses it to prove it’s still him, but this fits better for the musical
    Anyways great video
