I think he is best as a number 8 with either kulu or maddison on the 10. Bergvall is just so press resistant and creative he needs to be dictating the game in deeper role, with the freedom to go box to box and roam. He can free tye space for maddison and kulu to receive the ball in the half spaces further up the pitch where they are much more effective.
Why the fixation on starting, or on playing 90-minutes? It's clear that with Ange's focus on playing with high intensity for the whole game, he will need to rotate his players during games. And not only individual players, but as in the case of Bergvall and Gray, entire partnerships to maintain pressure on opponents.
Big up spurs unwrapped! I rate him so much I got my brother to get his rookie sports card in USA. I did same for KDB ! That’s how much I rate this superstar player ! I could tell immediately from watching his highlights that he’s just very special. I’d play him as much as possible to accelerate his development.
donley, lankshire, scarlett, moore, bergvall, devine, hall, sarr, gray, udogie, phillips, dorrington, odebert, johnson, van de ven, ... the future is bright... all 23 or under
@@ricky5538 Vicario would have done this to any Spurs player. If it had lead to a goal and Spurs lost the game , it would have been on LB. Vicario didn't think wait he is 18 so give him a head ruffle and say nice things. He saw LB as a player who made a mistake so he let him know about it.
@orinorio1 He was right to have a go at him, he's not gonna make many mistakes like that after pissing Vicario off so much. If that was Peter Schmeichel he would've gone ballistic.
this video was made after the game on Monday. Other then the one mistake LB made he played as if he has always played in the PL. Even his mistake was based on him wanting to carry the ball and not kicking it out. His calmness on the ball and knows where is going to pass before he gets it makes him a player with a high IQ. I think Spurs will drip feed him into the PL and play him in the EFL. Spurs have a second team that is loaded with top young talent who will want to shine. LB,AG along with Moor will get lots of game time in the EFL. LB will be a top class player if he is managed right and keeps healthy
I think will find our strickers and keep the ball more with a 3 Middlefield man bergvall on the right and Maddison on the left and behind them I think Gray can do well there
I think the reasoning is just that Bergvall does not have the fitness to regularly start games yet without risking injuries/burnout (based on Ange's comments in interviews). So might still be a few months before he starts league games
Vicario blowing him up in front of the world was not cool, not cool at all. Young players need encouragement. Blow up fkn Romero for losing his marker.. worlds best defender ball watching.. that deserves a bollocking!
united trusted Mainoo and Gernacho for 90 mins football and they are doing perfectly... i dont see a reason why we should not trust our young stars when the senior ones are enjoying their comfort zone with poor perfomance
Sorry but i wouldnt even go there comparing Bergvall's stats on anything vs Maddison's. No disrespect but theres a world of difference between the Swedish league & the Premiership.
I'd play Maddison, Bergvall and Son as a midfield three. Odobert, Solanke and Porro as the front three, with a backline of Udogie, Van der Ven, Gray/Dragusin and Soence. But Ange won't buy this idea.
@@alonfuchs4912i think ur taking about Wilson odebert but he is lwf bro. In his last season for Burnley, he made 33 appearance and out of that 33 matches, 90 percent of the time he played as a left winger bro. So we need a proper right winger like savinho (man city new signing) or adama troure. In the last month we signed a South Korean kid yang min hyuk and he is also a left winger. We can't totally dependent on b. Johnson as rwf. He is not at all dribbling.
@@michael_pow we dont want him in the spurs squad bro. We want a player who is so good in dribbling. Eg: doku Or raphinha Or savinho Or rapheal leoa someone like that
Mate stop with the defence bs. Lst season, with our starting back four we conceded 1.3 per game, which is very reasonable for an attacking side. The attack jist needs to finish games off.
Bergval is a class above the rest ,even now. He’s destined for great things ,let’s hope we can hang on to him for as long as possible.
Yes I think he's our best player, along with Grey !

agreed, bench sarr
When will people understand bergvall is a natural 8 rather than a 10
I'd go gay for him
@@ntglass3976😂😂😂
They won't our fan base are dumb
He’s a 10 out of 10 I know that much
No one has said he is a 10 or a natural 10. He has played in the no 10 role and 8. The 8 role requires both attack and defend.

He looked great to me, even when he was told off by Vicario ... was not phased at all
Vicario is normally a gentleman. I don't know why he done that - the pressure got to the older experienced guys, not the younger guys !

Unfair on Archie Gray, he’s been solid
Bergvall is more technical, physical, pace. Maddison likes holding the ball for no reason and too slow
The only thing the explodes at spurs is the prices of everything

Ange is normally brave, but he in my opinion made a mistake in not starting Vanilla Ice for the first game.

Spurs make me explode
Bergvall should start. Especially as Biss and Bentancur will be sidelined for a few weeks.
I donno how Ange gonn fit both Bergvall and Maddas to supply ariel balls to both R9 and Dom19 on the same game... maybe second half
Bergvall can play further down as a number 8 while Maddison is better at number 10.
The boy is gravy
Just gradually build up his game time over the first 8 - 12 games.
The amount of times this guy says (country)-man 😂
He looks like a disney prince
Prince Bergvall from the land of Swede......that actually works 😂🤣😂

Spurs will sell him as soon as he's any good
I am really annoyed with Biss as was looking forward to seeing Bergvall + Maddison + Bissouma as the midfield 3.

Doesn’t matter how well he does our defence will undo any good work
It is not the defence itself imo. A good 6 and wingers that can retain the ball instead of losing it when our fullbacks are the most out of position.
