The only other movie I knew she was in was a slavery movie. A biracial woman. The daughter of a white man I think. I think a white English man was in love with her. During the time of slavery. She looked gorgeous.
Was a great movie, literally Black girl magic but generational too. Grandmothers, mothers, daughters should see it together. Lorraine Toussaint was brilliant; protective mothers will relate to her greatly. Don’t leave the men out. There is a protective father as well who stands with them to the end.
I watched it finally after waiting since it was screened at SXSW in 2018. The long wait was over and I am soo so glad I got to watch it. So original and so fantastic. I recommend it for everyone. Gugu killed it like always.

Bobby Edwards That’s really insulting. They’re movies wasn’t low budget. They made movies they new they could afford and market correctly. Now years of grinding they can now produce these types of films.

This was a good movie. At first to me, it was like watching paint dry, I had no clue what was going on and had not seen the trailer. It turned out to be a good watch.
correct me if I'm wrong but I heard the marketing department didn't know how to market a story of 3 black women. I cant wait to see the outward disappointment and the fruition of this movie. I have a strong feeling this will gain momentum. we were cheated out of this.

Just heard about this movie. I don't see it coming up to any of the Oregon theatres any time soon. Maybe one in Portland but that's too far to go. We do have a art theatre in Corvallis and a couple in Eugene, but I'm not holding my breath. Any idea when it's going to be available to buy?
