- How to understand the difference between the two Multithreading modes in Logic Pro; "Playback Tracks" and "Playback & Live Tracks". This is a useful hack for fixing problems with CPU overloads, where your playback is glitching or choking.

I ran into the same problem. Bounced out a final mix. Started a new session for mastering and that would play normal, then KaBOOOOOM. Distortion. Switching the multithreating to Playback only solved the problem. Except now I have to switch the multithreading every time I go for a mastering session. Not the end of the world by any means. Thanks for the confirmation video.
It's strange that you keep having to switch the multithreading setting. I wonder if the setting is somehow saved into your template? I didn't think it was project specific, but maybe it is.
It might have to do with the Gain on the submix buss. I’m going to do some tests. But you’re right. I should have to do it every time.
Thanks for this, Roman! I sent your video to the email thread I had going with the Screen Composers Guild of Canada members where I was having this issue a few months ago. It's been sorted, thanks for the great tip!
Awesome! It's great to hear that your issue has been sorted and thanks for sharing my video with the guild!
Lovely work on this Roman !
Thanks Marti!
Nice sounding track ... got a 'smooth sounds of the 70's' vibe to it ... Play some Christopher Cross or some 10cc dude. 😁
Thank you!
Hi. Also if you are you using a lot of VSTs you might need to give them time to fully load. I see your buffer size is in the 100s but I will push to 500s if you are just in the studio recording.
For anyone else reading this change your ram to 16-32Gb and upgrade your SSD for better performance. Good tip sir🙌🏾
@@ThatDevOpsKid Right on, thanks!
Thanks for the suggestion. This sadly didnt work for me. Hopefully ill find a cure ;-)
Don't give up! The answer is out there somewhere. :)
