    You know, it seems, that it’s very hard to achieve work flow in logic because it’s powerful, but not straight forward and easy. You almost have to be an engineer to use it, it’s like a let’s try to find Waldo experience, If I wanted that type of challenge I would just play a game of chess ! I don’t need that when I’m trying to record music, it kills my creativity and is extremely frustrating !! So thank you for those very helpful tips !

    Lots of great info. Agreed, the Logic team should really ask the user community for suggestions on the default standards. Damn, I did not know about several of these basic, but very helpful, and useful, features.

    You can reorder how the plugins appears which can be helpful.

      It can be a little bit better to manage the plugin menus, I agree. However you're still "menu diving". It doesn't come close to text searching, which is why I included PlugSearch in my critique. Cheers 🍻

    You’re so right! It’s like they’re trying to be Un-intuitive, and I’d really like to know the reason for that! Who does that serve? My girlfriend is so sick of hearing me complain about how illogical logic is, having to iron out all the defaults, so you can imagine my delight finding out I’m not the only one. It can be frustrating at first, OR ALWAYS. I came from three other daws prior, and the More time you spend with them, The more they reveal themselves. So logic does a lot of stuff for a reasonable price, but give it to us working PLEASE, And then we can expand on that. Instead, what logic actually does is start everything out with some kind of cryptic puzzle, and by then, uh, hm, what was I playin now? Sorry for the rant,Your video is really good in that it’s trying to actually help, and Im just complaining. I’m gonna give this stuff a try. Thanks

    Great job Sir, as this truly needed to be addressed by someone with a working brain! Maybe Logic needs to employ a real musician or 2 to guide them through their apparent ignorance on actual music production here? They really have pissed me off with their new revisions as of late, forcing me to research and basically start learning their product all over again after 12 years of using Logic! Really, "System settings", and hey, let's really fuck everyone up, by changing tab menu's! I am not sure Apple, but my guess is "Steve Jobs" wouldn't have been this sloppy with Logic?

    Good tips. There's also the option to open the Library (Y), right-click on any patch and set that as the default if that fits your workflow. As for Tip 5, the Plugin Manager (Settings → Plug-in-Manager) is well worth the time to set up and maintain. You can create custom folders to hold all your reverbs, compressors, etc, assign short names and more. The initial setup took me a while, but I love being able to click on a folder and see all my preferred options.
    This video also has some really great tips for advanced setup of the control bar: ruclips.net/video/3CAE8VoMV7Y/видео.html

    the biggest game changer for me was adding "Pre fader monitoring" to the control bar. before discovering this all my instrument midi tracks were Peaking but I never knew cause I had lowered the volume on the track as not to damage my speakers and as a result my mixes sounded distorted when I tried to bring them up to industry standard with a limiter. so having the Pre fader option I always check my gain staging through out the process.

    • @cuomomusiccreation
      @cuomomusiccreation  11 месяцев назад

      Yes, gain checking is a crucial practice. I've been using waves dorrough meters in between plugins that don't have the best metering in them for longer than I care to remember. Glad it's working out for you!

    • @sottovoce4
      @sottovoce4 11 месяцев назад +1

      you know if your in Prefader metering it is not pre-plugin, so the meter will give you the level Post you last plugin, that way you can save slots and DSP not having to use the Dorrough. Cheers!@@cuomomusiccreation

    • @cuomomusiccreation
      @cuomomusiccreation  11 месяцев назад +1

      I'm aware, I like to meter between plugins that don't have decent enough metering. That's what I use dorrough for. @@sottovoce4

    • @sottovoce4
      @sottovoce4 11 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, not to be annoying- I’m really just trying to be helpful. When you are in Pre-metering turn off the plugins after the one your metering and that will tell you the level your coming out of and into the next. I’m pretty sure you understand this and prefer your workflow 👍

    Snap to relative value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also, it is not a default or not question, but I hope one day the whole Logic team will stop doing what they are doing and will just focus on the old neglected inherited oldschool buggy weird stuff and fix them. Such as the whole midi editing. Quantizing (the end of the note, for example). Midi transform window. The GUI overall. I wish Logic be smart enough to color a different region to a different color by default. The force legato which doesn't actually snap to the next note but leave a gap. Speaking of gaps, the view which sometimes shows there are some gaps between otherwise perfectly aligned regions or midi notes. The playhead snap when I just place it by a click and it doesn't always snap to definitive values. Why I would want it to snap to a division or a tick when I am zoomed out? Anyway ...

    • @cuomomusiccreation
      @cuomomusiccreation  Месяц назад

      Yeah... I highly doubt they'll fix the stuff that only seasoned pros notice.
