Also a caver, but a looong way from Texas. Would be great fun to explore and map these. Also the comment about using GPR to find candidates. Maybe something a University geology department would be interested in doing as a field project? I have a feeling there's a decent amount of moving water down there, since the cave system was made by water, there's probably a decent river system running through the region. I wouldn't rule out this system connecting to National Bridge Caverns since they're in the same area, the mammoth cave system travels for hundreds of miles.

Matt's all about safety at the range. He has all the correct equipment. He just needs to get professional help in gear for cave crawling like gas/air detectors and better lighting. One day a small rock chipper to open up a few of those tight access holes and such. I wish him luck on this becoming a major new find for the Ranch. He would have teams of covers who would want to spend time here.

By the shape of the rocks and the types of the speleothems in the caves, those caves would likely be full of water if it wasn't for the draught (they're right by the river, so no surprise there). Such caves can be really dangerous, I can't believe you just went in! Also it might be a good idea to survey the ground with a low-frequency GPR before blasting it away, just in case there's a big hole underneath 😁😁

Matt, take a sample of the water from the cave and check the lithium level in it, if it is very high, that could be the reason it’s making you feel good..Texas is know for having areas that have high lithium loaded aquifers.. People used to flock to Mineral Wells to soak in the lithium baths there…. I want to come down for the eclipse in April… I’m in Dallas… when you get further along I’ll maybe I can help you get your horse thing off the ground… I was a trainer for many years and can help you get it off the ground…

There are groups of people scattered all across the country that go to places like your for a fly in breakfast, on weekends. Imagine somewhere from 6 to 10, or more, planes landing there on a Saturday morning, just for breakfast.

Some of the really big rocks along the "trails" could easily be used for bouldering and rock climbing, so if you cleared out the area around them, you could have another attraction to bring people to the resort. I know someone has already said it probably or youve already thought it, but you definitely need some kind of warning signs around all of the caves you find and along trails and even at the entrance. And make sure theyre mapped out better with accurate gps coordinates just in case someone does go miss you can explore then first to make sure.

Would probably be well worth the cost in the future of having the resort to clean up dangerous areas and possibly build out a cave for guests to explore if any good ones pop up which I’m guessing there diffently is atleast one huge cave somewhere
