Actually Pacquiao is a much better basketball player and fighter. He had Floyd running and hugging for 12 straight rounds. Nobody "wins" a fight running and hugging... plus according to replay Pacquiao outlanded him by around 50 punches.
if you watch the fight even if it was boring as hell, you'll notice it was boring because mayweather just kept running and still got the decision even if pac was the only one mostly throwing punches.

What I mean by that is, shawn marion has a bad form but he makes his wide open shots. Now, if he were to go off the dribble and do pullups or postfades, then there is a chance that he will get blocked because he releases so low.
Then, form would matter. But see, he doesn't do all of that so it doesn't matter. He plays defense, catch & Shoots, and slashes. Hence, "it doesn't matter as long as you're finding a way to get the ball through the hole".
+Uncle Bernard I'm very fundamental but, having a good form has always made it easier on myself when I shoot the ball. Consistency is key in shooting and I have seen people with bad forms cosistenly miss shots and make an occasional 3. Many Paquaio probably practiced this shot so much it goes in. So if you have a bad form it won't be consistent
Christian Kyle yeah but what really is "bad"? Some of the greatest shooters don't have a "textbook" shot. You know, Dirk, ray, reggie, bird,etc.
I'm not saying a textbook shot is pointless and it doesn't help because it sure as hell does. All I'm saying is, *if it ain't broke, don't fix it.*
so yeah, if you can't shoot efficiently and you want your Jumpshot to be a huge factor of your game then yeah, form would matter lol
