      No problem, I live quite high :-), so for this blind I demanded partial transparency, is just to restrict the entry of light.
      IKEA makes the version completely opaque, its name is "Fyrtur", mine is "Kadrilj"...

    do you need a Gateway so Google Home can add the Kadrilj, or is the connection over Wifi?

      Yes, there is used "TRÅDFRI gateway", through which the blind is paired for the original wall-mounted remote control, for smarthpone application and also for Google Asistant.
      Connected to the home LAN via Ethernet.

      This is merely an optical illusion, moreover caused by the exposure automation of the camera used.
      Moreover, this type of blind is not used for blackout. A different model is designed for it.
      Why the stupid smiley face?

      There are two versions of the Ikea motorized blinds - Blackout (FYRTUR) and Light Filtering (KADRILJ)
