As Bangchan has said, "it depends on how you think about it" 🤣 but yes, actually this song is about self compulsion. 'You' here, is their passion about work. Yes this song is about a workaholic. A passion which is toxic and surely can strangle you. 🙂 Their creativity wrap it in sexy way is a bonus.

When Chris first showed Hyunjin the music the first lyric that came to hyunjins mind was “You know I can’t leave you alone” hyunjin being the romantic he is probably wanted that kind of vibe and what Chris said about the song about the stress of producing and working hard for fans and not wanting to disappoint us, workaholic etc I like to believe they coincided two personal ideas to make it something that means two things
They did an OT8 version of the song during their concert. It’s sooo good with all of them.

I can't defend "Drive" 👀But for 'Red lights" Bang Chan & Hyunjin have said that this does have a double meaning👀😂 while it can interpreted as a type of toxic relationship or something sexual, it also symbolizes their compulsion to work, (like dance, sing, produce, or perform & other passions) even when they are extremely exhausted or don't have to need to do it at the moment. They kinda have the impulse to do more, improve or create even if it has a toll on them at times. Kinda of like a love or hate relationship. Like loving what they do but kinda addicted and needing to find limits that are healthy for them
This song is one of my fav. Bang Chan and Hyunjin are the best duo. Keep it up!

They're SKZ-PLAYER(units) are always great. One of my favorites is Bang Chan, Changbin, Felix, Seungmin "Up All Night'. It's completely different then 'Red Lights'.

I first heard this song on it's own (sans MV) and it blew all the marbles out of my brain. Then the video.... I was not expecting it at all haha. Super disrespectful.
All the elements in the production make this song a complete sonic pleasure. I'll never get sick of it and I've been trying to cover it for a while. Sadly, my Korean sucks 😅

It’s absolutely not sexual: While Skz wants us to interpret this in our own way, this song is actually about their compulsion and toxic relationship with their work, with music, and their art…. Hence the Korean title being Compulsion. The Red Light is actually in regards to the red light of the studio…. When they close their eyes, all they see is the light. The mirroring represents the other side of them, the obsessive side. They are the same person struggling to control that otherwise inside of them obsessed with their work.
Also…. They both sing all thre parts through the song…. It’s l literally back and forth so both sing those sexy parts. Chan does the breaths too.

Did you know that technically this song was about sexiness, compulsion and obsession? They talked about this during a Howl camp thingie. Hyunjin said that, "We originally wrote this song because we wanted to do something sexy." and Changbin said, "Wait, you wanted to do something sexy, without US?!" and they all started to laugh. And then Hyunjin went on to say, "But there's also a deeper meaning involved too which is compulsion and obsession. But originally it all got started because we wanted to do something sexy." Also, Hyunjin said on a live somewhere that, "We each had to send in a version of what we wanted the MV to look like. The first time I sent mine in, it was rejected for being way too sexual, so I had to tone it down."

Thanks mate 😊 Also I agree Hyunjin's voice fits rock n roll too, plus when they r live on stage ( tour ) he has a rock star charisma 🔥 ( he once head banging to carpe diem by changbin & han too , a rap song with rock element ).
