Just stopping by to say thank you, your work doesn’t go unnoticed, very detailed review just wanna say keep up the good work & to anyone else reading this have a good day! all we must spread is positivity.
This video is so well made and easy to understand. You gave me more information about these ring lights in 13 minutes than I've found in a few hours of research.
Thank you so much for this detailed comparison! I have been losing my mind searching through a sea of ring light listings on ebay and amazon. So glad I found your informative video!
You have honestly some of the most down to earth reviews of the stuff Im interested in. Not a bunch of hypebeast crap, fluff or other stupid stuff. I rather watch you do your think than anyone else right now when comes to tech reviews. Thank you all you do.
I feel like elgato was soooooo close. If they had an option for a tripod, included phone mount, and more optimized app control It'd be a must buy. I'm gonna start with the sensyne and then if I need to upgrade I'll get the elgato and just use the sensyne tripod. Thanks for the vid 🙏
Thank you soooo much for taking the time to make this! It's been immensely helpful!! Really appreciate your generosity of spirit and all the detail you go into!
I was going round looking for a ring light nd when I stumbled on this vid, I said, 'Iv seen very many reviews. But, why not give another one a try?' And yoh. Am glad I did. This is the best review I've seen. Also, it's interesting how I finally settled on the Sensyne. I feel like it's the best bet to try out, more compatible with environments and mobile devices. So yeah. Thank you for the great review.
Brother.......my goodness what a GREAT review! Thanks man, saved me a ton of time I was comparing two of the most popular ring lights on Amazon at the moment. The budget Sensyne model and the Neewer ring light. Now I know I can go for the budget Sensyne model, sometimes I record or stream during the day but mostly it is done at night when I stream games so it's a must and I like being able to drive more power to it via outlet as well. I know this video took some work to put together and it's appreciated. ;)
Excellent. The only reviewer I could find who demonstrated how to mount the Elgato to standard photography mounting systems. Many of us are not interested in using Elgato’s proprietary mount. A stronger ball mount (e.g. a Manfrotto 494 Center Ball Head; 17.6 pound load capacity) on a sturdy floor or tabletop tripod stand with 1/4-20 UNC threads would be much better than the Elgato mounts.
Yep, when I first bought it, I didn't even realize there was a standard thread on the bottom. I know Elgato is trying to sell their Multi Mount system, but it's like they're hiding it.
Thanks so much for taking the time to make such a thorough video. On a budget at this point so looks like the Sensyne will work for now until we can upgrade to something better later. I learned more from this 14min video than 2hrs of searching on Amazon and Google. You, my friend, are a gem! :)
Thanks a lot my man, im going for el gato even though is expensive a.f but it's a long term investment so be it. thanks a lot for your review, one of the best reviewers ive ever seen on youtube, for real. thanks
Great video. I'm on a budget, so the Sensyne looks like the best option for me. As far as the more expensive ones go, I like some things about the Elgato light, but the Control Center issues would drive me absolutely nuts.
Such a great review, covered so many questions and even went beyond to let me know things I didn't know I needed to consider. Had to let you know! Thank you!!
very well descripted video really helps me in the prosses of what kind of lighting I am going to go with. Also gave me an idea of some videos I could make thank you
Thank you so much for this …I definitely didn’t want to go through the reviews and do a coin flip to buy my new ring light. I appreciate your work so much God bless💓
Great review matey. Interesting to see the range of lights and what you get for your money. I do like the Elgato ring light and you brought up a good point about putting it on a tripod as I have a DSLR camera and was thinking of purchasing a ring light. Thank you for the review
Logitech Brio webcam and I basically just switched between all these different lights as I demonstrated them. At the end it was the Elgato Ring Light + Neewer 18" Advanced Ring Light together.
I also compared the Neewer 18" Advanced Ring Light to the older Neewer 18" model here: ruclips.net/video/BOgsvuwNotQ/видео.html. Written content: Ring Light buyer's guide: www.streamtechreviews.com/blog/ringlights Neewer 18" Advanced Ring Light vs Elgato Ring Light: www.streamtechreviews.com/blog/neeweradvancedringlight Sensyne Ring Light: www.streamtechreviews.com/blog/sensyneringlight
Yo, I appreciate that you talked about all of these within context of each other. And not 8 different videos. I have been in the market for lights for some time and Im taking another stab at it. But I also just downloaded the software for an older t3i to see if that will be better than my logitech c920 webcam which looks decent but not great. Honestly I dont think ive seen a webcam that looked great ever. The journey continues. Continued well wishes on your youtube journey my man.
Thanks! I have a T3 (not i) and I tried to use it as a webcam, but didn't like it personally. I definitely would like to upgrade to a legit mirrorless camera myself to really take advantage of these lights more. How bad would you say the image quality is of this video? It was on a webcam 😓.
Just wanted to say thank you for this review! I appreciate how thorough it was. I've been meaning to upgrade my lighting setup but I live in a tiny NYC apartment so space is super limited. As expensive as it is, it sounds like the Elgato might actually be best for me so I can clamp it onto my desk. Thank you for your insight! :)
I definitely need to make an updated video of this as some great new options are out now. But to break these down: The Elgato Ring Light is still #1 on the market - I use it to this day. I use the Neewer 18 inch Advanced often, still great. The Neewer 18" (not advanced) is better than the rest of the lights. MPow got banned (lol) Sensyne is okay but there's a lot better options now. I still use the tripod though. Same goes for Ubeesize. Mactrem I'd avoid.
Since like myself, you wear glasses I thought that you could answer this question. You said you had your light about 15 degrees off from center, so I don't have an accurate basis for comparison. But if I were to place the Newer ring light front & center, with it somewhat above eye level, how bad would the reflection be off my glasses? Would the reflection obscure or distract from my pupil?
It's pretty strong. I don't personally find it super distracting, but the rings will look giant with glasses head on unless you raise the light significantly. I use the Elgato right in front of me but I have it raised much over eye level for that reason.
I've been looking a lights and watched a couple of your videos. I'm almost ready to purchase but have a quick question. On the elgato ring light ball, is this a standard 1" ball? If so, can the clamp be replaced with a Ram Mount ball clamp. I use them on my ATV and other off road equipment mounts.
These all need to be plugged in except the Mpow (which is way too small and I think got delisted). For something on the go, I'd look into one of the Lume Cube ring lights. It comes with a battery. Never got around to getting one to review myself though.
Check out the Lume Cube ring light, I think it's recently released but it's on sale now (and combined with the discount code it's hitting around 150$) Has features that are missing from some of the ones in this video like battery mode option, included tripod/light stand, etc Just watched the point in the video where the elgato ring light fell over on the ball mount (totally agree not good design/ i have the stream deck from them tho) Thanks for making these lighting review videos! Helped me feel very comfortable in getting a ring light instead of another setup
I don't have a specific recommendation, I honestly still use the one I took from the Sensyne light which is great. All I can say is the cheap Amazon Basics tripods are probably not the way to go. Not very durable.
I am an artists and need to light what's on my desk for zoom lessons. I plan on mounting the ring on an articulating arm so that the ring is parallel to my desktop and the phone is mounted in the middle of the ring, I am concerned the phone will leave shadows on my art as well as the ring staying in place and not listing downward. Which do you recommend? TIA
Sorry for the really late reply. If you still need a recommendation though: The phone won't cast a shadow because the shape of the ring is going to fill in light from all directions. I'm not sure how much weight your arm is designed to hold, but both the Sensyne and Elgato Ring Light can screw onto it as long as it has a 1/4th inch thread. I would get the Sensyne because it's lightweight, not that bulky, and comes with a phone clip in the box. The Elgato is going to be way brighter, but for lighting your desk the Sensyne should be sufficient.
Yep, the Sensyne is actually the main tripod I use with it when I take the Elgato off my desk. Any tripod with a 1/4th inch thread works with the Elgato Ring Light.
Just stopping by to say thank you, your work doesn’t go unnoticed, very detailed review just wanna say keep up the good work & to anyone else reading this have a good day! all we must spread is positivity.

This saved me a lot time and helped me more then reading a article sense I wanted to see the actual product. Thanks so much!
It's the pink microphone 🎤 for me 💗 Thx for sharing ☺️
Thanks so much for taking the time to make such a thorough video. On a budget at this point so looks like the Sensyne will work for now until we can upgrade to something better later. I learned more from this 14min video than 2hrs of searching on Amazon and Google. You, my friend, are a gem! :)
for the neewer, that's the one with out a treat you can get a spigot with a 3.5 inch screw in the bottom. Then you can screw it in on any tripod.
Now this is what you call a review! Thank you!!
Thank you! This is by far one of the best comparison videos I've found!
Thanks a lot my man, im going for el gato even though is expensive a.f but it's a long term investment so be it. thanks a lot for your review, one of the best reviewers ive ever seen on youtube, for real. thanks
Thanks and for sure, I still use it as my main light to this day. It's super good.

Amazing in-depth review, thank you! Def torn between the Neewer and Elgato now lol
I’m stuck between those 😩
This was the best review I ever watched.
Excellent video. This is how multi product reviews should be done. Thanks!
Thank you so much for this! Excellent breakdown of all the ringlights and their features!

Didn’t even finish the video already decided to subscribe. I bought the kiyo pro and will be on the lookout for more reviews brotha 🙌🏽. Great review

This is the best review! Thank you!
Great video, you could probably add some background music to fill things out a bit. But your voice is really charismatic! Impressed!
Cool review I think I will get the Neewer thanks for all the info
Great review matey. Interesting to see the range of lights and what you get for your money. I do like the Elgato ring light and you brought up a good point about putting it on a tripod as I have a DSLR camera and was thinking of purchasing a ring light. Thank you for the review
For sure. Trying these all out side by side made me understand how Elgato is able to charge what they do for it. Thanks for watching!
thank you so much I like how you reviewed all of the ring lights now this is how reviews should be 😊
I watched your video on the Logitech webcam. Trusting you for lighting now haha. Thank you!
This video is so detailed an honest. Thank you!
Wow. Thank you for such a detailed video. Quality content.
Thank you for the video. It helped a lot.
YO I love that shirt! Also thank you for this! :)
sensyne seems pretty good for the price, so ill probably be buying that.
Same one I'm getting, looks like a good starter ring light for streamers (but the tripod's build quality looks amazing and sturdy).
Best review! Keep going your thing!❤️
Thanks for detailed review
Great video! Thanks so much for taking the time to do such a thorough and informative evaluation.
excellent review my brother thank you so so very much!! so happy to see one with out all the annoying music and random chit chat. you are THE MAN!!!

Very good videos about lights, very useful. Thanks!
Are these still creditable in late 2023 or are there better options now

Omg this review was super helpful thank you! What camera did you use to film your video btw? The quality is amazing!
Thanks, I used the Logitech Brio at 4K
Great review also Can I take it on the go to shoot pictures or does it require it to be plugged up to use it?
These all need to be plugged in except the Mpow (which is way too small and I think got delisted). For something on the go, I'd look into one of the Lume Cube ring lights. It comes with a battery. Never got around to getting one to review myself though.
omg I love your mic!!

People say the stands are too weak.
I've had no issues
The one I have from Lume cube has been sturdy under constant / daily use
Interesting. Very helpful. Thank you.🦋
Did you shoot this using the Brio?
Yes
Thanks dude!
I play in the chair with my Ps5. Isn't the Astro a40 MixAmp bulky? that the Mixamp Helmets me Hanging?
Hi - The time stamps are supposed to be like 00:00-00:38 in order to have the effect on the video itself
That's not quite how it works, but it reminded me to start the first timestamp with 0:00.
Thank you for this

Thank you so much. What tripod would you buy for the Elgato?
I don't have a specific recommendation, I honestly still use the one I took from the Sensyne light which is great. All I can say is the cheap Amazon Basics tripods are probably not the way to go. Not very durable.
Neewer is 65$ right now with the promo code
I make tiktoks and was wondering what the best led lightbulb is to pair with the neewer ringlight?
I am an artists and need to light what's on my desk for zoom lessons.
