“I take the art form very seriously, but I don’t take myself so seriously” An epiphany to me indeed 🤯 very wise words my good sir! I need more of this 🙌🏼
I really needed to see this now as an inspiration as I’m about to play the gig of my lifetime tomorrow at a big festival where I’m playing for two different bands. Now I’m ready…
OMG. I feel that me and Benny have a lot in common, except for the drummer part, I really suck at it. But for real, when he started talking, I really saw myself!!
I was bullied at high school, drumming was a way out, still dumb as digshit, o where near the engine Greb has,I drummmed solely as a tool to cooe with deep depression,I don’t understand movies like The Matrix ,my mind is like a top spinning,I get exhausted because of it and practising for two hours is my absolute limit otherwise drumming becomes a pursuit of depression itself. It’s all about genes you were given from your parents,I have no idea about practical things, most humans take for granted like just getting married or having kids or just doing a podcast,I’m terrified of that and my brain is that dumb. God hates the weak, hugs to those who have goals but their mind is a huuuge road block that stops them. It can become quite depressing the World when some people have a huge mind headstart over others.
