Hello Frank, greetings from Australia! Thank you for posting the wonderful old pictures of Perth. I was born there in 1955, left there in 1964 to England, then later to Australia. At 0.28 I wonder if the picture was taken from Struan Road, my earliest memory of living there. My dad worked at the PRI. With many thanks for the trip down memory lane.
Perth has great memories for me ....in 1975 to 1977...i did my training as a pilot at AST Perth...i wonder if that pub (The Thistle) still exists...!!!..
Loved to see this but was surprised to see my Dads shop The Home Bakery on upper South Street. It must have been taken just before it was replaced. The business was started by my Grandmother. I’m proud to say that Both of them made the best Cakes & Pastry in Perth.
Some lovely photos Frank but ye should have had auld Scottish performers in the background like Andy Stewart and Robert Wilson and Hamish Imlach and so on.
