Ali, your videos are great! They are so simple to follow and understand. I have this issue which is the most likely case for causing "thin" shots that I hit. I will give this a try next time out!
I need to bring my laptop with me on the range to try this one out. LOL - you are 100% correct. I tend to try and do to many things or try to fix too many things in every shot and never have the same address to be able to repeat something over and over again. I gotta try this. Love your videos...I'm hoping this one is the AH HA moment! Been playing this game since I was 14 and still suck at it (17 handicap). That said, I know I can do better....I have seen it.
It’s like you have just explained exactly what my issue has been! My bad shots lately feel like I’ve been straightening up my legs and can’t get the club past myself. Going to start this drill today as it sounds like the perfect answer. Great tip and brilliantly explained👍
Brilliant. I know the theory, I do it sometimes, but fall back into the fault I've done most of my 30 years golfing. I'm not bad, 6 index, but even as a senior I should be better at this. I need to practise this for weeks to come until it feels right and I can trust it. Your video is the best I've seen on this move. Thanks Ali
great stuff as always Ali! Think this will help as i have noticed an increase in 'fat' shots and low in the face shots.... will put this in play this week!
Ali, never miss your videos, this one is again superb. My main deal is seemingly the same again as yours. Temp0 and hip and consistent height, with huge emphasis on Tempo, holding back and delivering full power at the bottom of swing to allow body to turn but.........I am running into this problem you are fixing here and also I started hooking which I never do, if misses they are arm induced slices. Long story short is you are spot on for advice. My hook is me doing early exentension and delivery speed and power past the tee and not at bottom in front of tee. Phew, just when I think I have it all figured out, go figure.......LOL. Cheers and happy stay in Orange County. (My former hometown)
@@AliTaylorGolf I grew up there since the late 50s and left finally 5 yrs ago. It still nice to visit but not to live unless you got the ideal setup. Hotel Calif, you can check in but can't check out. Glad you stay was good, perhaps you can tell us more of it.
Good video. It's also easy to stay down if you don't create excessive angles in the first place. Stand taller with weight even rather than on the toes.
Good vid as always. But where does the SPEED come from? “Holding” those positions sometimes FEELS to me like there’s no leverage to generate the speed with and can actually make me feel almost as tho I’m holding the club BACK
I have early extension with my hands raising a couple of inches at impact. I also have a bad back injury which resulted in me having spinal fusion on L5 S1. Everytime I try to change my swing and rotate and stay down on the ball I hurt my lower back pretty badly. Is this something you've come across Ali?
@@AliTaylorGolf @AD beat me to it. They have boats in there now too. I went there a year after they opened. I think it was 20 yrs ago @. Too funny. Have fun in Cali Ali. You are getting around quite a bit now.
You’re right by my folks house and 10 minutes from mine! Welcome to So Cal! I enjoy your lessons Ali and this one is just what I need for my first range practice since being ill. Safe travels!
Great video. I have been trying to swing as you say but, unfortunately,am hitting the ground behind the ball. I have tried to turn my hips faster towards the target but have been unsuccessful. Thanks for any advice. Thanks.
I don’t think he said “turn your hips toward the ball.” I believe he said ‘move your hips back at an angle in a direction toward the left pocket while turning your hips. THAT movement does keep you down and over the ball. What a great thought. Immediate improvement in staying on top of the contact zone.
I'm confused. The practice ranges I'm used to are on dry land, facilitating the retrieval of the range balls. I seem to be seeing you hitting into a body of water, complete with boats. Are those range balls just "one and done?"
No I’ve been there there’s a bout with a net like it is on dry land that picks up the balls there r something n the balls to make them float back to the top
Exactly my problem, no consistency...this exercise is Tigers Woods number one drill.. I don't see you be doing down, maybe I need slow motion to see it.

Took this to the range yesterday, and it only went and bloodywell worked! Cheers Ali.

Thanks, I fly back to the UK today, had a great time here though

Great tips...Thanks....for the show....
Great video, this “move” has been a game changer for me. Thx!
Great tips and excellent instruction - easy to understand, thank you!
GREAT video! Thank you!!
A very great video, something I’m working on at the moment.
Great video. Is there a particular drill that might help groove the proper hip action? I been standing through impact for so long. Thanks.
Great tip, thank you 👍
What’s your honest option on the hack motion I watched your video that you did on it I am just curious if it’s worth buying

Is there any chance you can get a drill to go with this video? Thanks

oooh sweet your at the Islands Range. That is where my cousin and I go practice! Great advice I really need to practice this more!
Have fun!
Well done ali 👏 👍
Thank you
Is that Islands golf range in Anaheim, California? It looks just like the one by my house.
It is indeed

Is it the same with a driver, because you don't seem to need so much shaft lean ?
The ball position is further forward with driver and so won't be so excessive.
Love the islands driving range 😎😎😎
Is this the range in orange county off ball rd?
The Islands golf center

Glad you think so!
Very good Video
Thanks
What kind of range is that? Like hitting balls off of a cruise ship!

Sympathy for the devil - interesting background music 😳. Very helpful lesson 👍
It was on in the back ground at the range 😂

No the golf balls float
No, there’s 2 full time scuba divers that pick ‘em off the sea floor
Anything special to know about hitting a draw with this feeling?
