Originally written for 26 episodes, executives abruptly cut it down to thirteen, forcing several loose ends to be tied up hurriedly late into the series and some characters' backstories being unexplored and their issues left unresolved on-screen by the time it ended. The director was not happy about this at all, plus this decision has helped contribute to a lot of the flak this show has gotten.

This is one of the greatest Anime I ever watched. Everytime I think of Angel Beats I'm near to the tears. One of the saddest Anime in my opinion and the first which brought me to cry
1 thing I didnt like about shigatsu is the constant flash back scenes that lasted like 2 seconds about kosei not being able to forget. Its nothing compared to the upsides of the anime, but it just annoyed me XD

This song brings back really sad memories for me.. When I started watching angel beats my parents were going through a rough divorce and I'd blast Iwasowa's music over all the yelling.. And then she got a brain problem the third episode and I got migraines and a horrid pain disorder! T-T But I fulfilled Iwasowa's last wish which was to save someone.. She saved me from commiting suicide and introduced me to the wonders of japanese music. :D

Read manga, get character development, and on the contrary, they did a splendid job to be able to create, break and reshape such diverse characters in thirteen episodes. Those 13 episodes hit me like an emotional roller coaster that I won't soon forget.

I haven't watched this anime for like 3 years and just started watching it again, now I'm starting to understand it more because I'm more mature, I love this song! I cried the last episode when I first watched the series. I wonder if I'll cry again when I watch it... we'll see ^_^.

The playlist isn't official by any means, likely someone just copied the songs from the album (Keep up the Beats!) onto their PC, made a spotify playlist using those local files and left it on public. You can't listen to the songs because they're not actually on spotify, they're just someone's local files. Another possible explanation is that they're only available in some countries (possibly only in Japan) but that seems unlikely. Anyway, there are no songs on spotify that require premium for you to listen to then. I don't know who or what gave you that idea.

Read manga, get character development, and on the contrary, they did a splendid job to be able to create, break and reshape such diverse characters in thirteen episodes. Those 13 episodes hit me like an emotional roller coaster that I won't soon forget.
bro i thought it was some chill storyline of like fun stuff in some isekai. ending hit like a truck for me i dont actually cry in a lot of animes, but this one hits harder (but less crueler) than akame ga kill

one of the greatest what if animes ever, still amazing it was able to grow this big in popularity despite how rushed it was. the concept was so beautiful and couldve been a introspective lesson about life and death but was not given enough time to flourish.
Angel Beats! It will always be in our hearts! Even though a second season is almost impossible this anime will live on in our hearts and memories! As long as we believe this anime will live on forever!

It was originally slated to get 24 episodes instead of the amount they got now. Except bevause of money issues they had to cut it short, like some of you might've noticed.
At the moment, a visual novel by the original authors (and Key) is in development so we can finally see the story as it was intended.

AngelBeats, Violet Evergarden and Anohana were the only shows I've ever watched that I actually cared. All of the above are as depressing as it gets.
Just imagine, that LiSA actually made her solo debut through Girls DeMo as Yui. And Crow Song and My Song were both top achievers on Japan.
And best of all, 11 years after and were still listening to Girls DeMo.
I've had to rewatch episode one several times just for this song. Her voice is so good - A great mix of bass and treble..
I thought it was really touching when it turned out in Heaven's door that this was the first song that Iwasawa and Hisako wrote together.
Man i hope they make it into an anime, it'd be awesome.

this song brings back so many memories. iwasawa is my favorite girl from the show. even though i haven't had any experiences like hers this is one of the few songs that really got me into rock and really got me into japanese music as well as LiSa and Marina and other similar artists to them

The playlist isn't official by any means, likely someone just copied the songs from the album (Keep up the Beats!) onto their PC, made a spotify playlist using those local files and left it on public. You can't listen to the songs because they're not actually on spotify, they're just someone's local files.
Another possible explanation is that they're only available in some countries (possibly only in Japan) but that seems unlikely.
Anyway, there are no songs on spotify that require premium for you to listen to then. I don't know who or what gave you that idea.
They used to have it on spotify it all got removed though :'(
