Nicolas Hayek has enormous personal style. I like the way he wears his suit, and ties his neckties. And his eyebrows are magnificent - the mark of a man of importance and refinement.

....so fortunate that there are those who will restore these buildings for the future; what disappoints me is that such buildings as these no longer are filled with the pagentary of the original occupants! thank you!

@andromaque7 He then finishes saying that it is an investment for our culture, our children's culture. It is not something from the past but a way to see the future. It is beauty and beauty should be treasured, here, in Europe.
Hope that helps, sorry for my broken English.

@dippindotsarea3 Basically, politicians (Minister of culture, etc.) are thanking M. Hayek from Breguet Entreprise for his "gift" to Versaille : the restoration of the Petit Trianon. M. Hayek first tells that one of his staff member read an article one day saying that the oak of Marie-Antoinette had been damaged by the 1999 storm and was about to be cut. He told his boss that it could be a good idea to buy the tree so as to make "cases" for the Marie-Antoinette watch model they produce.

@andromaque7 So the enterprise called the museum which responded them that they wouldn't ask anything for the tree but that it would be nice if they would contribute a little to the restoration of Trianon. M. Hayek was so surprised that Trianon hadn't been restored already that decided to call France's Minister of culture to make all the arrangements. During the party, M. Hayek advises the audience to invest in culture instead of Wall Street because you can actually see results.

As an American, I really can't understand the language but i still would appreciate a way to understand. For example, subtitles.. It would be really nice right now.
