Sir, I am also a Linux mint user...but the problem is Linux mint runs very slow in my machine... when it comes to copy something.....the other things are good....the configuration of my machine is Intel i3 8 generation....4 gb ddr4 crucial ram...tell me what should I do?
It's great that you use Linux mint . Copy something to hard drive is relatively fast but copy to a USB drive is much slow...that's normal. 4GB ram is enough for Linux mint.
@@TechWorldDeb I think Linux mint is not older machine friendly nowadays. If Gnome animations are totally smooth, then it's obvious that it's a problem of Linux mint itself.
Compare linux mint with Windows, huge difference. Windows in average would need 32 GBs of RAM in background, Linux Mint Debian Edition XFCE is way less resource hogging OS like Linux Mint Debian Edition XFCE would probably waste 50 MBs of RAMs
Nice🎉

@@TechWorldDeb ok thanks for help
If your copies are slow I would apply a negative nice to the copy process. This will increase the priority of the copy process.

Ram is cheap. Max it out and put in an ssd, also cheap. Another option is to use the mate version, it uses less resources
Can I install xfce in Linux mint Debian edition?
yes surely you can..
@@TechWorldDeb Thanks
Then ....WHY are you running windows?
it is because of lack of proper video editing software in Linux..All other things I do in linux
Animations are very laggy. Moving window, minimizing, maximizing and restoring effect isn't smooth at all.
In the video the demo is performed in virtualbox. But in real hardware animations are much smoother and satisfactory (tested)
@@TechWorldDeb But it's not smooth on my machine at all. By the way, there's no driver issue and it's an old laptop.
@@_tanzil_ in old laptop in May be . Mint is okay. Also you can try bodhi Linux / MX kde or Garuda gnome...

Why no battery saver mode in lmde, battery draining very fast
Cinnamon desktop doesn't have three power modes like gnome but power consumption shouldn't be high... You can try MX Linux.
@@TechWorldDeb yea although I did find a solution auto cpufreq
lmde is smoother than mint
Right
Doesn't install rite
It installed perfectly... any problem you faced ?
I was able to install, no problems. Love it .
