Thank you bro, I will be using your technique. 6 years later and this is still coming in clutch for the future generations🔥🤙
This looks really good! I bought materials for my own power lines the other day but wound up doing another project. This has reinsured me!
Great video brotha and that's why the Dio community is so strong creative people like you always sharing!
Thank you for sharing. I'll be working on a street dio for a while and something like this will make a great addition to it. As always, I appreciate the lesson.
Very impressive! This is great creativity and will help me on a diorama I wantnto build in the future.
Going for it. Knock Knock!
Great concept
2Fresh Print thank you.
Excellent job my friend!
Would you please make a video showing how to make damaged ground like what is showing when you are showing the supplies you need
Bro this is great, thank you for sharing .... I'm going to do one :)
dripmode awesome!
Nice work, man.
looks dope, brother.
Wow great job!!
very nice VDO. thx for share us
The dry wall screws at the top really set it off as does the pill bottle. After you primed the pole black, did you just use shades of brown and brush techniques or actual wood stain? Looks like stain but if that's just the paint job that's incredible.
DxZxAx thanks!
I primed it black and first did a dark brown and the lighter browns and just a light white dry brush.
this is sick, gonna make 1. thanks.
I will likely try this although I only need the lower part of a telephone pole for my street diorama. I was trying to make on to same scale as diorama and figures (1/12) and googling diameter of standard telephone poles it seems like a 2" diameter dowel rod would be more accurate, but that likely will be too heavy and take up more room than I like for my diorama which is only about 16" wide. U think a 1" rod would pass as a telephone pole for my diorama?
Spider man was in a graveyard dabing in you're intro
nice
Slick
Nov. 2017---Thanks for the video as this is one of my to build ideas for a 1/35th scale zombie/apocalypse diorama. For pill bottles, check with your local pharmacy as I'm sure they'd sell you whatever size/quantity you need very reasonably. Also check dollar stores, etc. for bottles for the diameter you need. If too long, cut to size. The dry wall and car part screws is something knew and never thought of. Thanks for the tip. But I think you should of scrapped your dowel with a razor saw the entire length a few times to really add realism. To me, the dowel grain is just too fine. Check Google for power line pole images. But those top pieces with the spirals on 'em is wrong from the photos I have. Basically you have circles on the outside of the smaller posts (poles?), not a spiral look. But yours look real as is. As modelers, we need to think outside the box. From dm's craft (fantasy website) leaned to save various sizes/kinds of blister packs which I've used to pour plaster of paris into to get different shapes. it helps if you spray a mold release on it before pouring the plaster. Beats scratch building a lot of times. Used the inside of 2 different sized sour cream lids as my molds to make a fountain base. The fountain has a 6" outside diameter and will be 6-7" tall. Then cut to size, a couple of plastic wine glasses to make the 2 levels where I'll place some miniature figures. Covered the open wine glass pieces with sheet styrene so the figures can be placed on them. Thanks again for the video.
Looks amazing. Did you sand the pole to get the wood grain looks
Thanks, Yes I did but But I used and x-acto knife to get the wood grain look.
awesome will have to give it a try
I just came across your site. I do like your craft work. Any plans to make a city light pole with the long overhead ( like a metal pole) ? I also sub you. s
Thank you. Yeah maybe I'm always looking at what else to build.
Lol...is described as a "how to" video...shows items used, tells you to follow along and then proceeds to the finished piece....umm so where's the "how to" part?! Not being an ass bc I love the work but it would've been nice to see even a small amount of video showing the progression...
Dee Skully lol yeah I’m
Not that great at making tutorials maybe on the next one tho.👍🏾
