人物とメカの両方を活き活きに描けるアニメーターは、昭和アニメでは、大塚康生さんと友永和秀さんがトップクラスだと思う。そう言えば、製作前の「カリオストロの城」で、宮崎駿さんに上映されたばかりの「銀河鉄道999」を見せて作画担当だった友永さんを推薦したのは、大塚康生さんだった。天才は天才を知る。
