Can you go over the steps it took to get an approved app? I just submitted an app but I have a feeling it is not going to pass as I'm just trying to get it set up so I can test out the API. It seems like there would be a sandbox for developers to experiment.
@@senorbaka I will see about a video on submitting. They are working on updates to the API, or so they claim, which will allow for testing and things like sandbox mode but for now it has to be in production or you can't really do anything.

Thank you for your video. I have 2 other mandatory fields in the form when creating an app, "Terms of Service URL" and "
Privacy Policy URL". I understand I have to put an URL to the TOS and privacy policy of my app... but for now it's just to use the API just for testing, learning and have some fun.... any idea what to put in there ?
Right now they don't really have a good way for testing and your app needs to be reviewed and approved in production in order to test. When I talked to them they said they were working on ways to make it eaisier for developers to test.

Looks like I'm echoing a lot of the other comments--- your videos are great! But the greatest barrier seems to be app approval. Would you be open to sharing (or have you already shared) lessons learned on getting app approval? It's a chicken-and-egg problem.... we need app approval to develop an app, but we to develop an app to get app approval :(
Thanks! And yeah the app approval is really annoying since you need it even for testing. They have told me they are working on making it more developer friendly though so fingers crossed!
So once you develop the game or app what you do with it? You go live or something?
you need to submit your app for review and get it approved, then it will be live mode

Hi, I have a customer is tik tok shop seller, i want to get his tik tok shop data like order detail and etc to my window base system through API, is that possible?

Hi, when I try to register my app, they ask me a Terms of Service URL and a Privacy Policy URL but it seems on your video that you weren't asked to do this. I just want to create a playable game on tiktok so I think I don't need to to this. Do you think it's becaus I 'm from France that they re asking me a Terms of Service URL and a Privacy Policy URL ?
I believe that is required for login kit which is another video in the playlist you can checkout.
For a new app that is still in development, do we also need the review approval?

@@justinstolpe is yours approved? I worry that my app (since it's in development) doesn't look pretty good, and they won't approve it as it's not live yet. But how can the app live if we haven't tried the API yet? lol
@@vvan22 still waiting, it is annoying as right now I don't think they have a way to test and yeah they want a fully built app before you can even test out the API lal Hoping to get approval soon and make a video on the process!

still waiting on TikTok to approve so I can integrate login and creating posts through the API. The app approval process has been pretty terrible and tough to even get a response from support. It is very frustrating.

So like. No code or actual implementation was explained in this outside what we already get from tiktok. 🤦🏻♂️
nope cause this was an overview on creating the app. More videos to follow, I'm just waiting on my app to be reviewed and set to live mode. Then I am going to make videos on implementing things like the login kit and display api so those will be actual code implementation
