Most of the 2d action platformers that went 3d for me just weren't done well, however this was epic.
The bosses, the weapons, the creepiness and gore ... it really made me feel like watching all the other Contra games, just in 3d and a bit improved as any sequal was before that.
I even feel that the second last boss with the worms like creatures around him, could have had a progression part where the worms go crazy and instead of attacking you, they start attacking him, thus morphin him into the abomination that is the final boss.
Even Operation C was like a great trailer to the next instalment.
Nevertheless, amazing video, thanks.
Glad you enjoyed it! Shattered Soldier was a weird one. I had a hard time getting into it.
Nice work on them SS :D
Thank you!
Contra is a very fun game but the bosses are nightmare fuel.
Too spooky for me as a child
I enjoyed playing it with my dad & brother though.
0:22 That's the alarm sound from Moero!! Twinbee/Stinger.
30 years.. It took me 30 years before i discovered that the giant robo final boss in level 3 of contra 3.. was called big fuzz. WHY THE FUCK IS IT CALLED BIG FUZZ!!!! I do not know what to do with this information
Spread the word brother, spread the word.
Listen bro, can you please tell me where you can download the old contra konami, you can give a website or a link
Who's asking? Is this a trick question? You can pick it up on the Contra Anniversary Collection
Vimm's Lair
One of the great nes games of all time contra rules
Hell yea brother. Spread the gospel
You ever thought about including the arcade versions of the first two games? You know, since they're the ones that came before the NES/Famicom versions
Oh yea! I got the footage ready but I set up a poll and people weren’t interested. Thought about using the footage for something else
23:45 It always looked to me at this point that the Metal Alien was flipping you off with its tail.
38:43 isn't that the boss they used in Gunstar Heroes for the GBA. XD
I'm unsure. I haven't even seen playthroughs of that game.
I cleared contra 1 to contra 3 but now looking back I am not sure how I cleared contra 3. Not sure if I can do it again either.
Was contra 3 on hard out of curiosity?
black viper assembling its giant body from the bodies of the killed humans was a little scary
Contra 3 had the best bosses in the final level it was epic battling all the old bosses from the older games
Still my favorite boss rush
how many final bosses do you want in contra 3
yes
Give me all of them!
Favorite contras are Contra Hardcorp, Super C, Shattered Soldier, and Contra 4.
เก่งมากครับ ผมนั่งดูไปลุ้นไป สนุกและเพลินดีครับ 🫰🩷😁😁😁
Tbh every time I look at contra I have nightmares and i can never sleep again.....
Me as a kid
Just when you thought you'd seen everything in games, an alien turns around to reveal a giant human face for an ass
I love how simple of an addition it is but helps scratch that curiosity when I was a kid.
Yes,i remember that one. And i was like...... 🤨 "What in the world?"
Him seen worse, much much worse. My curiosity will never stop.
I always used to play as browney in hard corps his weaponry is the strongest also his tiny enough so you dont have too duck so often
Browny is strong. His electric yoyo takes down a majority of the enemy cast easily
19:09 Boss Stage VS Terminator!
hell yea
I think there are HR Giger alien influence in Contra's design
Just a lil
No logro pasarme contra 4 debido a que mi cruceta esta un poco dañada pero si me pase el 1,2 y el 3 y pronto el 4
46:55 Following the beat of the music. 😁
break it down!
Hard Corps is the best ever Contra and the best ever run-n-gun game
It’s up there for sure!
Oh hell, when I was kid I wasn't ever fast enough to try Fang B to D conversion that way (I always paused to give myself more time)
Theirs a certain rhythm to it. when I lost my timing it threw the whole fight off
does anyone know if there was any mention of copyright violation of the first game using either H.R. Giger works or facehuggers? I tried searching to see if anything comes up but nothing appears to come up regarding Contra's use of facehuggers in the game.
I never knew of such a case but it's well known that the series burrows heavily from the action film genre.
By any chance, do you have that full picture of Contra 3 without the letters?
Which picture are you referring too? The title screen?
@@MegaYoYo The one in the back, the cover from Contra 3. Been looking for it but it's nowhere to be found at full size.
46:54 "you lazy bastards, get up, it's time to danzzz!!"
"Get up on the dance floor!"
I'm so happy how he stood on anthell and held the shoulder buttons and did the thing... It HAS to be done
Classic strat
Contra was always good with the freaky looking bosses.
en la game boy advance hay bosses curiosos de contra 3
esos bosses son de Contra Hard Corps
Even after counting the non canon bosses, it feels like there just weren't bosses to go around just for me in the end of it all :(
Where are my guest characters bosses dlc!?
NECESTIO AYUDA PORFAVOR TENGO ILUSIONES.
Y CONOZCAN A LA SÁBILA O ALOE DEBERA.
Every time I see the Gomeramos King: "How many times do we have to teach you this lesson old man!"
Can't wait to give it to em again in OG
I used to play Hard Corps with my dad growing up. That and Outlander on the Genesis.
I hope you love those memories and felt that while watching this video
100% dude. No doubt! Never knew the "wave weapon" for the wolf character was so good.
@@17gtpdestroyer Yea, the technique I use bypasses the charging time which is why it's so devestating.
