Never thought I'd be so obsessed with a houseboat but just loved this episode and her space. Fantastic.

What you want ma'am?
Can we get Amsterdam-based houses please???????????
ok, I'm much more of practical kind of person but the decoration and the vibes kinda make me question about my very minimal apartment which just white, beige and black.
You're not alone. Mine is black, white and gray. I only have pops of color on one feature wall but other than that, very Scandinavian, minimalistic apartment... But this video is giving me ideas. :)
this space is SO her. love it.
I always wonder in house boat or van living situations what the children will think when they're older
I love this channel. Why isn't it more popular??
Valorie Gonzales same!
Their snapchat page is even greater. too bad I had to delete snapchat cause it takes gigabytes of data to open it
I know right?!! Love Refinery29!
I have seen this boat along Regents Canal on one of my walks and automatically fell in love with it's Camille Walala-eque exterior paint job! It's so lovely to finally have a look inside
+aj So glad you checked it out!!
I love her style! I think living in boats are a thing in London since rent prices are so high. I hope R29 can also document some spaces in Asia. ;)
+anneskakirideska Slowly, but surely!
ahhh I always pass by this boat when walking along the canal and have been obsessed with the outside of it for ages (and now the inside), absolutely beaut!!!
Okay but why is her bathroom bigger than bathrooms in actual apartments? Love her space!
Just be careful of carbon monoxide from your burners! My dad lived on a houseboat and almost had a bad situation in the 70's from a burner. House boats rule ok!
soixantecroissants omg same here. I almost died from carbon monoxide poisoning. It’s scary because you don’t even realize it until it’s almost too late. Safe to say I’m now stuck with Propane for heating 🙃
In the UK, most wood burning stoves are provided with a carbon monoxide alarm - I believe the install can't be signed off without one. So hopefully there is a functioning alarm :)
you have a chinemy to avoid that. You would know if you get a leak due to the smoke. CO wouldn’t be an issue, you’re thinking of gas fires
R29 Please start homes on Southern Africa South Africa, Zambia, Malawi, Zimbabwe, Botswana etc - I'd be the first to show you my crib lol :)
Darling hate to say it but most people in Europe and N. America (which is who this channel is aimed at) are pretty ignorant about the wider world, they think people down there all live in mud huts unfortunately. Be thankful though, if they knew how nice it was there you would get flooded with them and the locals would get priced out of the market so let them continue in their ignorance...
Your channel is underrated! You guys are wayy better than buzzfeed.
I love love LOVE seeing the sort of sacrifices people make in expensive cities to get the space they need. Obviously I don't love that it happens but I just find it so fascinating to see how people get round high rent or small spaces since it's a sacrifice I made myself; ugly building in exchange for a (small) second bedroom. But I'm working on making my space beautiful.
People saying you could buy a flat for this money in London 🤣 this same space and lay out on land in london zones 1 or 2 will start at maybe 200k. That's pound sterling. 🙃
even MORE than that! Hahaha... they have no idea
Zone 1 is double that
Jen Dre they’re clearly not from London the average property price in London is almost half a million pounds lol
will start at 200k, only if it has 3 walls... the 4 one will cost you another 300k
Justina Rimkeviciute honestly, I’m in shoreditch forget buying a sofa here let alone a house
Yesssss!! Please do more more London digs!! I plant to move there in the coming years and need inspiration!!
Yes Yes Yes Yes, this is what I've been waiting on. My home city by the canals EVEN BETTER!!!!!! Her home is beautiful and unique and yes affordable AF for London. I'm totally for movable homes, be they motor or water.
such beautiful tiles! Love the space, you are very creative. Thanks for sharing your home with us. :)
So beautiful. The inside is marvellous
I'm obsesseeeeed with sweet digs😍
+elpidapasalidou YAS! :)
Yay! A house boat! I've been commenting to see unique digs like this, a tree house and such. 😍 I like the traditional houses too because each person puts their personal touch on it. 😘 Thanks, @Refinery29
+zenniekaiyenny Thank YOU for being here!
Moving to London shortly and thought i would entertain the idea of a houseboat. You have absolutely smashed and i'm hooked on the idea now.
Unrelated, but I'm obsessed with her dress! She's done a beautiful job with her home, as well. :)
I didn't expect to like this so much. It comes across as quite dreamy.
love this! I'd love to see more London-based Sweet Digs 😊
Beautiful! I love your tiles!
I LOVE her house boat!
Just so whimsical and lovely! My only criticism is that I felt I didn't see enough of the boat! Would have loved some sweeping shots of the exterior, some long pans down the hallway and around the rooms, some close ups of the decor, etc etc. I'm so intrigued by this aesthetic and was left wanting more.
Love this hippie boat!
Beautiful! Looks so peaceful!
I am absolutely obsessed with this!!!!❤❤❤❤
Gorgeous home, thanks for sharing x
Absolutely in love with this space 😍💜💙💛💚
I love this, it's so fun!
Love it! Good for you
How do they deal with the humidity to avoid everything getting mouldy? That's what I've always wondered about houseboats, but so far noone's been able to give me an answer.
Obsessed with this!!!
That’s crazy people can live like this!! You do you boos! Very interesting tbh and love the Virgen De Guadalupe!
Absolutely beautiful!!
Thank you for listening to audience suggestions about the type of living situations we want to see -- it's lovely to know you guys are listening and including the audience in the storytelling. Side note: I have ideas for how you can execute the 360 VR in a more palatable and user-friendly way.
+manestreambeauty Thanks for being here! What's your suggestion?
+Refinery29 Sweet Digs is a content series that creates an experience for the audience. The 360 VR approach shoehorned an experience into an existing content format, instead of developing content designed specifically for the 360 VR experience. How do you do that? 🎤 "I can teach you, but I have to charge."
Love her STYLE ....just CREATIVE !!! 💗💗💗
Your videos are so inspiring ❤️❤️❤️
Cool space! Love the idea of living on a boat 🤔😊
and another awesome video❤😻
This is so amazing!
Oh my goodness... the BATHROOM!!! In the boat! Impressive.

Your place is awesome!!😍😍😍
this is a very neat boho boat !
What a fun looking space.
Amazing vídeo!
The leopard prints aren't for me haha but i love this episode! Whenever i pass Regents Canal i see a lot of those boats.
Love it! I can’t wait to see more homes from around the world! Going to Canada any time soon? 🇨🇦
There’s so much space !!!
The shower tiles are gorgeous
I love this so much better than a tiny house or living in a bus
An interesting hippy like life ; it looks like a very intriguing lifestyle!I love your videos by the way...Hope Refinery29 will visit Greece and so create a dozen videos on my unique homeland.
Totally Amazing!!!!!👌
Wicked! Reminds me of the River Gypsys from the movie Chocolat.
Girl I literally LIVE for that leopard print 🤗
That's really nice but the only way to live kind of cheap in London is in a shared house, above a curry with mouldy walls.
Holy shit the nostalgia I sued to pass this boat while at uni
I really liked the tiles in the bathroom.
Really interesting to see how people live. I wonder with the houseboats how far they travel?
in the green I dont think this one travels - I dont see a wheel anywhere.
In general houseboats don’t move. Once they’re put in the water they stay there unless they need to be hauled out for repair/work. A lot of them don’t even have functioning motors
London water ways require boats to have different licenses one can be a moving and others are mooring. If you don’t have a mooring licence you need to keep moving. I’ve been told.
@@yvettecheevers278 and if you only have mooring license, is that mean you can't travel, just mooring all the time?
@@iona3404 It will do. It has a tiller, rather than a wheel. This is a narrowboat, rather than a houseboat.
I used to live on a boat, a square top schooner. It had a a head piece and everything and been used to smuggle stuff as had so many hide away holes they believed. I loved the freedom and how amazing it felt, but a lot of money just to upkeep a boat and don't think I could live on a narrow boat as just doesn't have the character that an older boat has. Though, this narrowboat I think has been done beautifully
+bebejewell That's awesome! thanks for sharing!!
Great video!
This was cool. Boat life seams cool
Its beautiful ❤
Love it
that bathroom is everything!
+ashleybuckley Bathroom goals!
This is the most creative home I've seen so far on this series! BTW yr kid is gonna have the dopest backstory ever, imagine opening conversations with "I grew up in a boat" !!
i’m in love
you should do houses in montreal, it would be really cool!
YES LONDON! Time for me to get a cuppa and feel depressed. 😊
I just want to look at all the details and tiles and colors all day
Okay I kinda dig this!!!
The bathroom! ❤️
Sweet digs Mexico? 🇲🇽 Guadalajara? Chapala?
A true home! 😊
I just subscribed!
❤️ it!
Cool and I love her style, but personally there is no way I'd ever be able to go to sleep at night being on water...
Cool!
Omg I know where that is!!!!! That’s so weird to see on here lol
I love the designs/prints if the tiles in this home! Does anyone know what the style of those types of designs would be called?
Yesss london!!!
+hanzxx YAS!!
I love this! She's so fierce!
Just realised that this is filmed in my neighborhood!!
Wonderful
Personally a minimalist person..I would get a head ache with all those colours, specially in the bathroom 😂 *but for a weekend or two it would be a fun experience
I cant imagine living in a boat during winter in London. Not as cold as Leeds perhaps but still.
