There is a breeding pair in my local park and lake where I live in south London. In the many years I have been taking my walks in this park I have got to know them and give them a couple of handfulls of bird seed, so they always run to me when they see me from far away. They are such great birds to be around, and I am very fond of them, as they make me smile when I see them.
They are the only breeding pair in the park, and are bossed around by the Canada geese.
They are my favourite birds in the park together with coots and moorhens.

I absolutely love these "ducks" a couple have been coming to mine for the past few weeks because they found out I've been feeding the crows, magpies and starlings good stuff, it only took a week of feeding them to the point where I can walk right up to them. One will meet me half way and they'll just do that internal croaking noise till I chuck them their seeded brown bread. Lovely birds and seem very trusting. Unlike the crows I've been feeding for 4 years who will still fly away the second they see me. (but they'll sit up in the tree next to me to call out that it's feeding time)

Yep, they are pretty domesticated and figure out who is going to be nice to them pretty fast. Especially if you have some food.

Phenomenal creature 💖😍 Finding as much as seven feathers of these wonderful birds here in Poland was a huge suprise to me, I actually had ppl to confirm which bird the findings belonged to. I couldn't believe how lucky I was 💗 My dream is to see one with my own eyes in the wild 🌳🦆🌲

Hi my friend in Poland. These birds spread pretty fast if they have a nice golf course or city park with water. So, you should find one some day...I would not be surprised.
