Amazing work. This adds so much value to the Apollo. Console plugin automation via Live is HUGE for live performance. Especially for guitars and vocals. When your CPU needs to manage a huge amount of tracks and a very low buffer, being able to offload these plugins to the Console SHARC chips helps insure safe performance of the CPU with no ASIO crackles.
Im super interested in ground control. Also it’s existing to see what is possible! Because the Apollo app does not allow midi mapping. So it’s actually a big surprise this is even possible! But I’m wondering if I will have trouble because I use VB matrix so I’m able to combine multiple asio devices. Also the windows uad audio driver are not so good. So I decided to use matrix and its amazing. But now this means in live I use not my Apollo as audio device but the matrix virtual asio device. Would this still be compatible with ground control? Or if I buy it but testing it maybe not working in this setup could I return it? For me 50 euro is a lot. So musst consider if this will be to much risk if there is no refund. (I’m a bit paranoid because the arturia wrapper from you look nice but without gain reduction metering I always just open the vst gui or use something else)
It should still work just fine! : ) The device doesn't communicate with the audio driver. It gatheres all information from the Console app directly. One thing you have to keep in mind, is if you want to be able to use the "auto input assignment" feature. You need to have the Apollo interface input channels at the top of your aggregated devices. (So it can find the corresponding inputs) And all your other devices inputs should come second. Other than that, everything will work. : )
