Late to this video but it’s slick! The Neural Morgan cab sim is otherworldly. I dig the amp sims as well, but lately I’ve been running some outboard preamp gear into just the cab sim (and reverb) to great effect.

Genius video topic Joshua! I've been playing mainly in the digital world, and have only used 'typical' front-end analog pedals like compressors and wahs. Now I'm considering some new approaches and options. Thanks! 🔥✨

Does the buzz come from your pickups or the morgan simulation ? I find it to be a bit annoying, but it sounds fantastic apart from that !

it’s not buzz, it’s the sound of his strings in his ambient/speaking mic, and i agree it sounds bad. sometimes a little of that sound can be cool in a recording - i’ve heard of metal guitarists doing that in the studio - but it shouldn’t be as loud as the guitar tone itself.

Sick idea! Not really known for it's clean channel but my 5150 III Stealth takes pedals very well imo, gears video!

Great content and playing and I love the Morgan suite. The only recommenation about the video is that in post, you should mute your lapel mic when you're playing. The Transients of your pick hitting the strings takes away from the pure sound of the plug-in. It's also difficult to tell if the amp is distorting or if your label mic is clipping.

Sounds good. How could you send the sounds to the front of house if you used this rig on stage?

I personally like the Matchless DC-30 or the Bogner Shiva as my pedal platform (the ladder is my favourite by far... infinite headroom).

Two of my fave pedal platform amps as well. FYI, it's "the latter" not "the ladder". I spent a few minutes googling ladders and amps to find out you meant before it dawned on me. :)

I suggest using the DAW rendered audio for the guitar sounds as when you use camera mics, the clanging of pick/string noise is a significant portion of the sound you pick up. Maybe its the lapel mic? All you gotta do is during your editing mute the lapel mic during the portions where you are playing. It might just be me, but it seems if you are trying to showcase the studio quality sound of the rig, it doesn't make a lot of sense to have all kinds of clanging pick noise mixed in.

I for one enjoy hearing a blend of real audio not just the processed signal

The sound is anything but likeable. I will stick to my amps for dirty sounds.
