Beautiful painting as always! Thank you so much for continuing the Wednesday tutorials. They are a highlight of the week!!
Thank you so much!
Gorgeous painting as ever. Just love this composition and colours used. 😊
Thank you! Cheers!
I don't comment so much nowadays as your channel has a legion of likers, but it always has an uplifting feel that's appreciated.
Finally finished, thanks so much
That is a beautifully atmospheric painting, Paul. Really stunning, and the addition of the pheasant and the snow fall is so seasonal and a little bit Dickensian/Victorian Christmas. 😊
Great to hear - thanks!
Paul you go above and beyond to make Wednesday the best day of the week . We always enjoy that new t-shirt design every week however the bonus is the perfect music . Please keep going. And it's snowing here in Michigan so it's a perfect watercolor scene
Wow, thank you! ... and will do!
Fantastic Christmas scene Paul, always good. I've learnt so much from you, my wife is very grateful! (Re 170 paintings I've now done). Cheers, Brian.
That is awesome Brian - thanks
Hello Paul, thank you for nice pictures and colours in your pictures in watercolourpainting. Love the light and dark colours too. How do you paint an eye and a butterfly in watercolour? Love from Luise Larsen, Denmark.😊❤
You are very welcome Luise!
SO BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for all your teachings!
Glad you like them!
This has to be one of my very favorites, Paul!! The little “story” was lovely and made this one extra special! Thanks so much!
So glad you enjoyed it!
If you do another snow scene, could you do one with big mountains like the Alps or Rockies? Thank you for sharing your art with us all.
Great suggestion!
Another fantastic tutorial Paul ! I love how you bring it altogether with the details and absolutely love the addition of the pheasant :) Thanks again as always for the time you put into your Watercolour Wednesdays 🥰
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you as always for your excellent teaching and reinforcing different methods and techniques! The atmoshere created in this painting certainly reminds one of incoming snow
storms!! The misty trees are beautiful. Thank you for also sharing what other artists at your workshops have created!! Have an awesome week!!! :0)
You are very welcome
Thanks Paul! It is exciting and beautiful, as always. I really like the palette, the frosty air of this painting, the evening light and the feeling of snow. And I am absolutely delighted with the pheasant! 🪶💖
Thank you so much 😀
What a perfect painting, again! I get such a upbeat mood for my day watching you share your talent with us! It is on my wish list to someday join you on one of your lesson trips! Thank you Paul & Margo
Thank you so much 😀
Such a beautiful painting! I love the way the paint just flows off your brush. Thank you Paul ! You really do make Wednesday a day to look forward to.
Thank you so much 😀
Good afternoon, ☕🍵🍮🥨dear Paul! I’m glad to see you again, as always, on Wednesdays in a small and cozy studio and, as always, with a smile of greeting. This is the last lesson of the outgoing autumn, the next lesson will be in winter. I’m sure that today you have prepared something for us - something unusual and interesting in anticipation of the coming winter. Therefore, I like it in advance 👍 and thank you for your work and wish you health, happiness, good luck and gain weight, because You have now lost a lot of weight, I noticed. And before 3 years ago there was such a fresh, blooming man.Lol!🤣🤣🤣😜😄🤩.It's a joke. With this I say goodbye until next Wednesday in winter. Bye... bye...dear♥️♥️♥️💋💋💋👍👍👍👩🎨👩🎨👩🎨🖼️🎨🖼️🎨🖼️🎨
Lol Adela you crack me up! Lol 😂 Maybe we should send a care package to him. My daughter loves to bake. It’s probably why I’m gaining weight! Lol.
Lol! - love that Adela .... I wish that I had lost weight! .... my bathroom scales tell me otherwise!
Sorry, dear Paul, for this joke! I didn’t mean to offend or offend you. We joke like that and no one gets offended, but on the contrary, everyone laughs and takes it easier. I just thought that you would also understand and accept it with humor. Perhaps in the West such jokes not accepted, I’m not familiar with the rules of communication, but in the future I will be careful.
Good afternoon, dear Jacqueline! You’ve probably already read my post, and now I’m very worried and worried that I accidentally offended Paul. But I didn’t mean to, believe me! On the contrary, I wanted to cheer him up, lift his spirits, and now I feel that he felt embarrassed .I'm very sorry for the joke.....
@@adelabadova3105 it wasn’t. Most people like to be told they look thinner. Lol. At least us Americans do. Lol. Plus we know your heart. You are much too kind to ever say anything offensive. Love you lots. 😘❤️
Absolutely Delightful Paul.. love these buildings in England and Europe. That's one of my goals to be able to paint these structures to perfection.
Your tutorials help , everytime I sit to sketch, draw or paint , your voice is in my head guiding me. 💖
Love your little touches of story telling. And the music. Almost wanted to say " Hear hear !" 😊
Thank-you so much for these tutorials. They are extremely helpful. 💕💕💕 Looking forward to more. 💖
Delighted to help Sonia! ... have fun!
It was such a joy to watch you paint this adorable painting, Paul :). The energy of this piece is so peaceful, tranquil, warm and inviting... I wanted to enter the screen, LOL! And the little pheasant was a wonderful final touch :). Just beautiful... still smiling :).
So pleased you enjoyed it thanks!
Hi am addicted to your channel ✨ Awesome content Paul!😊 I actually tried mimicking your intro today😄 (Good morning, afternoon or evening whenever you are😅)
Awesome! Thank you .... and to you!
Thank you Paul, it is such a delight for me to watch you paint. Teehee I had to smile at seeing a little Gnome man with his arms raised waving me to come visit the The Holly Inn. (He is standing in the bushes near the mossy tree.)
Lol! - Glad you enjoyed it
@ArtbyPaulClark I did a landscape painting and saw a man with a cap and feather in it sitting on the rocks looking at my sunset. I get so tickled at the magic that comes through art.
Pamela
I always look forward to watching you paint. How your work comes to life is amazing. I’ve been painting for about a year and have attempted some of your templates. Amazingly a few have turned out pretty well for a beginner. Water control is my nemesis. How much of all of your colors do you mix before you start your work? Keep up watercolor Wednesday’s as I’ve learned so much. Thank you!
Thank you so much! - I do both about half pre-mixed the rest as I go!
It’s just magical to watch you painting this scene! Wow!
So pleased you enjoyed it!
So many viewers have expressed themselves so eloquently... have to agree, this is another treat for Watercolor Wednesdays! The music makes it like a charming movie. God bless you & Margot for all your hard work!!! With love & gratitude from a California Gramma ❤
Thanks so much Ann and same to you!
Thanks Paul. Inspirational. Some of the tree shapes, colours and building materials are different here in Australia. Plus the absence of snow! But the techniques are universal and your final products are to die for. Love your videos and I will continue to practice and hopefully improve. John Melbourne Australia
Cheers! - many thanks John!
The best watercolor teacher ever ❤ I really enjoy all your videos, everything is perfect ❤ thank you very much ❤
Thank you so much 😀
I've watched the Snow Drop Inn so many times, as much for ambience as learning. It is my cozy mac and cheeze when I just need something wintery... So delighted to have another one to watch while drinking hot cocoa. I so look forward to Wednesday uploads from you. No pressure, just a lovely part of my week.
🎄🏔🌨☃💙
Glad you enjoyed it Cynthia!
Absolutely beautiful! Love the hazy trees in the background (don't know if I'll ever get the right moment to paint them in!!) and the tip for painting the big tree with the fuzzy branches. Thanks for teaching us how to paint such lovely pictures. You're the best! 🤩
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
Thank you! Also, I just received your book yesterday! I LOOOVE IT
Hope you enjoy it!
Beautiful Paul , just stunning. Can';t wait to go there. Thanks so much. Sherry
Thanks as always Sherry!
How highly pleasant to watch you painting....what a delight😊😊😊
Nicky..Belgium
Thank you so much Nicky 😀
Woke up this morning to winter 🌬️accumulation happening ❄️ here 🌨️☃️. I appreciate the real time segments, very calming to watch. Thank you for sharing another lovely tutorial, Mr. Clark! Cheers 🍻.
You are so welcome
Great tutorial! Thank you so much, Paul. I love your teaching style. The warmth of your personality comes across in a very welcoming way. I tune in every Wednesday. I've learned a lot and my paintings have improved immensely. You offer the best tutorials on You Tube. Thank you!
Wow, thank you! Great to hear
Beautiful painting!! Still learning with your help. I purchased 9x12 paper also, but have a newbie question/ what size frame to use? Ready made 8x10 would cut some art off, or tape it off to 8x10? Thanks!!
many thanks! - To be fair a use lots of different sizes, depending on the picture.
It was another great tutorial. I learn new things from you every time. Thank you!!!
Happy to hear that!
Nearly 200k now Paul ! watch all your vids though I cannot master watercolour through impatience and being overcritical ! .. all the best
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks!
Marvoulous simplicity of how the water moves pigment, creating misty for trees
Thanks so much!
So funny:
3 roosters and a flock of 10. 🙂
Not all of you did use ecactly the same template as I recognize.
( I know it doesn´t matter )
Mr. Clark, is it your own musik in your vids ?
Do you make musik, too ?
Greetings from the continent ! 🙂
Lol! - so glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you for a wonderful day on Sunday. I really enjoyed painting this but repeated it when I got home 😊
Great to see you again Rosie! ... thanks for coming!
Love it! I’m just confused about the the triangular shadow on building. Is that from the bridge?
It's the shadow cast from the wall onto the house but not particularly accurate!
Beautiful! What can a person add! Thanks so much for sharing your talents and expertise!
Cheers! - many thanks!
Lovely, although where I live, painting foliage and snow are mutually exclusive. The pheasant is a nice touch.
So pleased you enjoyed it!
Just stunning Paul… Your trees r magical… Happy Holidays…
Same to you!
So excited for another beautiful snowy painting! I have noticed, in previous videos, you will occasionally tilt your paintings to let the paint run, but do you generally paint at a slight tilt or flat? Thank you again for your wonderful teaching videos. I hope to take one of your classes someday.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks! - yes I have my board tilted to about 15 degrees
Last week you were asking about real time painting. Maybe you could do a real time painting of just an old door, or tree, or do a whole painting but just post 20 or 30 minutes of it once a month. Love your style of painting and your commentary.
Great suggestion! thanks
this is stunning, its wonderful ❤❤
Thank you so much!!
Thanks for sharing, your such a good instructor and I love your paintings
Thanks so much 😊
Trees are your forte. Love is painting thank you for adding the music.
Thank you! Cheers!
Wish I lived in England do I could attend your classes. Maybe you and Margo should take a trip to Oregon someday well host.
Thanks so much!
Loved that! I draw so much inspiration from your videos, thank you.
Plus, I am learning more about color mixing. Especially walls and rock type subjects.
You are so welcome!
Paul I do have a question, if I don't have the color cadmium yellow, which color can I use instead or does look like?
any bright warm yellow will work - Hansa Yellow, New Gamboge, Indian Yellow.
Wow, what a wonderful tutorial for making a card at christmas time.
Thanks Paul .😊😊
Cheers for early christmas🎄 .😅🍺
Glad you liked it!
Thanks Paul, this is another great picture, the one you did last year I painted it and had it made into Christmas cards for my close friends and family. They all loved the scene. I will have a go at this one and if successful, will be next years Christmas cards. And before you ask, No, it doesn't take me a year to paint one although sometimes it feels like it. Thank you again for sharing your talent.
Great to hear - thanks for sharing!
Really nice! I actually "stepped" through that lovely arch ... and there to the left, I found such a beautiful unexpected sight! Nature provides so much wonder!🫣
Lol! - love that and glad you enjoyed it!
Really love your snow scene. Would be lovely to see a snow scene in town maybe with some black and white houses. Anyway. Thank you so much.
Great idea - see what I can find!
Wow ! Looks dreamy !! 🙂❤️ I want to get into the painting .....
Glad you enjoyed it!
Absolutely stunning. Wish we had pubs like this in the US!!
Thanks for that!

Thank you too!
What a beautiful painting and it’s such a pleasure to watch you paint it. Thank you!
Thanks so much!
Thanks Paul! I love the snow scenes. ( 🇨🇦) I would still look forward to “Watercolour Wednesday” even if you painted the same thing every week!😍
Cheers Emily 🇨🇦 - many thanks!
Simply lovely! The splattering was really effective for creating the feel of a snow shower 🥶 and the Holly Inn looks to be the ideal place to defrost!
Additional pheasant ? 👍Great!
So pleased you enjoyed it!
Ваши уроки безупречны- все здорово и по объяснению и подаче - все понятно- хорошо видать .Спасибо большое !
Many thanks!
Love it. Can't wait to try myself. Thanks
Have fun!
Magnifique joli travail
This one is particularly lovely. Makes me wish it was a real place. Thanks for taking the time to do these tutorials. It is very much appreciated!
Thanks so much 😊
Hello Paul, We love your painting of this adorable little inn. Everyone's paintings looked fabulous!! Take care and see you soon 🤗
Thanks so much!
Hi Paul thank you again for another great watercolour Wednesday. Another beautiful painting and snow scene. I had to laugh when you put that pheasant in. I could almost see the caption when I saw him facing the opposite direction to the Inn. He's saying to himself" "I'd better head THIS way or I'll be Susan's NEXT Sunday Roast." 😅😅😅. He'll be heading for Susans oven or maybe some other venue to get stuffed!.😂😂😂. Poor thing. Don't know if you thought of that or not when you painting him in. But I enjoy it all the more now. This is one of my great favourites now so far. Love the sound effects as well it made it really come alive for most of us that have been fortunate enough to be in an English pub like this. And the sky is brilliantly done it has that look of bitter cold about it. Love it. Keep em coming Paul. This is my favourite day of the week. I really enjoy it. Thank you. God bless you and Margot. Susan 👍😄🙏🙏🕊🕊🕊💕🎨
Lol! - love your comments Sue! ... see you there for the next Sunday roast!
@@ArtbyPaulClark 😅😅😅😅 That would be a Sunday Roast to remember!. LOL. 😅😅😅. Dont know about the Sunday Roast Paul but I'll definitely be round for Watercolour Wednesday. We'll let that poor bird make his escape bid from Colditz eh. 😅😅😅👍. God bless you. Keep up the good work. Sue. ❤🇮🇪☘🙏🕊
Thank you! I enjoyed watching this.
I'm so glad!
That's awesome, paul. You've given me an idea now!! But I don't know what to do it in, watercolour or watercolour pencil.... or both.... as parts of watercolour pencil near the end????
Just go with what you are most confident with - a bit of both sounds good to me!
@ArtbyPaulClark cool, and ive just ordered some, koh I noor soft pastel pencil. Try and say that in one 😩
I love it! Especially the pub staying open!❤😊
Cheers! me too!
Stunning! Christmas card quality.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful painting! So glad I found your channel a few months ago!
Thank you so much!
@@ArtbyPaulClark thank YOU!!!
I certainly did enjoy this and I especially loved the addition of the pheasant and the snow ❤
Thank you very much!
Truly brilliant Paul i have never seen a better tree the whole painting is a gem i will definitely be trying this one thanks Paul
Great to hear - glad you enjoyed it!
Oh la la, almost 200,000 subscribers (so deserved). And all before Christmas (1,000 more every week: how do the other watercolourists do ?). Above all, how lucky you are to have a cousin who runs a pub (you have the same voice, it's crazy). 😂 Thank you for these shades (camaïeux) of blue-grey and brown, so soothing to the eye. I will (try to) paint this one soon.
So pleased you enjoyed it it .... and yes 200k coming soon!
I look forward to Wednesdays and your lovely paintings. The little pheasant at the end made me happy.
I'm so glad!
So beautiful and well done! You're such a perfectionist! ❤
Thank you so much!
Wow! Beautiful!! Can't wait to watch and try!

بارك الله فيكم واحسن الله اليكم وكتب لكم السعاده في الدنيا والاخره
Great to hear - many thanks!
Was there a reference photo or did you dream this up yourself? It’s gorgeous minus being a winter scene.
I’m Canadian so I’m tired of winter. 🤣😜
Shoveling is for the kids at this point.
Merry Christmas Paul and Thank You, Thank You For Sharing Your Talent, Knowledge and Love of Watercolor Painting!!
Yeah, its Watercour Wednesday at last 😊. This is such a beautiful painting, thank you, Paul. I can't wait to give it a go this evening. I just hope I do it justice. Thank you for sharing your talent with us.
