I'm so glad to be sitting here getting caught up on your videos! My mom passed Nov 19, and we couldn't have her service until January. Cleaning out her townhouse, dividing up a lifetime of photos, memories, and all of her personal effects was hard to do. And now, her home is sold, and all we have are her memories in our hearts. What the hell were they thinking? Then to have no pool and a leaky pipe. They would have been better off staying in town. It would have been cheaper and more fun. The Creature from the Black Lagoon (1954) is a great film. Ben Chapman played the on-land creature in scenes shot in California. The costume he had to wear for up to 14 hours per day did not allow him to sit down and it was very hot. In between scenes he would ask to be hosed down or go stand in a back-lot pool or pond. Ricou Browning played the underwater creature and those scenes were shot at Wakulla Springs in Florida. In the 1960s on Saturday nights they would show this movie from time to time and I was both fascinated and terrified of the gilled-creature. My younger brother would keep falling asleep while this movie was on and I would wake him up so I wouldn't be alone since our parents were already in their bedroom asleep. That pool at the rental cabin looked like the perfect hangout for the creature!!

my family spent less than $5k in 2019 in Sevierville in a compound that had 48 of us there for a family reunion for 5 days.....4 story main cabin and 2 story guest cabin with 5 acres of property on a gated driveway
These illegal parking visitors feel you are just waiting to hook up to their vehicles as they walk off and you are just after their money. They don't realize it's not you for the owner of the property will have another company do it if you are not around. Sometimes it's hard for them to take the blame for their own errors.

Wow...$5,000 for 4 days! In what she said was a crappy cabin. No wonder all those beautiful mountain sceneries are (in my humble opinion) being destroyed by buildings cropping up all over the place with ugly roads cut into the slopes. I know it's good business for you, getting all those folks winched out of poorly designed roads and such, but to me, it's almost criminal that the landlords/cabin owners do the bare minimum for road design and up keep. I'm surprised that I haven't heard about any of those cabin rental places haven't been sued by a person who was seriously hurt, or by the family of someone who's died on those roads. For the money they are making it just seems like they could do better with building wider, safer roads to the rentals. BTW, I live in an Idaho Rocky Mountain valley...we have a lot of places 'hidden' up in the foothills.. I use to deliver furniture all over this fairly large valley and all the 'tucked away' homes had Great roads...because they were not being rented out and the people who owned them, don't want to risk their own lives just to leave home to go shopping and get back. I guess when it's the property and lives of others vs profit it's a different story : (

Anyone's driving skills could not keep from causing an accident when you're driving on gravel that is so thick you could bury a car. That is down-right irresponsible.

We are still in the start of spring here. Drops below 0 at night and up to 21-22 Celsius in the day.
