Helen I’d like to share what my best friend did for her Dad’s 100th birthday. She and her family and her Dad live in South Africa. A sister lives in Western Australia, another in Tasmania and another in UK.
They had a black tie dinner in each of their homes at exactly the same time and they Zoomed it. Some were obviously eating their dinner at an ungodly hour, but the point was their Dad had all his daughters and grandchildren “present“ via the internet, all dressed up, best china, a set 5 course menu, champagne and speeches. It was a roaring success.

Good old Bon Marche 😊. Loved the last blue & white dress 👗 it showed up your blue eyes. Also the denim skirt. Thank you for showing your haul. Yes I've just sent my bowel test back. Dear Helen, I thought I was hearing things when I heard the birds singing, then I thought you must have bought a canary! How lovely that you can hear the birds singing when you open your doors. When I clicked on some of the links today, some of the dresses were reduced today (Friday) and I would just like to add, that you could definitely get away with a size 16 in some of those dresses. Hi Helen.It’s such a joy to hear the birdsong on your videos- such a lovely accompaniment to your videos! What a flattering dress the first navy and white one was. I did feel the third dress was a bit ageing but I think Bon Marche is geared towards the more mature lady.The button bodice blue and white flowered dress was very pretty and a nice summer piece and the chambray jeans were great on you.I really like wearing trainers with dresses as it keeps them casual and great for daywear.You’re not a moaner at all- like you say, it’s as if we’re chatting away over a coffee! Loved the Navy & White dress, really smart, thumbs up for jumper and trousers. A few years back I was in the right place at the right time (doesn’t happen often), went to Bon Marche, as you walked in there was a rail of Jaeger dresses, original price £99, they were on sale for £20 what a bargain 🤩 my favourite winter dress. Love your channel 🎉

Thank you for mentioning the Bowel Cancer Screening test. My cancer was found by this. I had no symptoms at all, so it was a complete surprise. I had a successful surgery about 15 wks later ( held up by the fact that my dear Dad passed 3 weeks into my journey. I needed time to get going again & had to put his house on the market, start clearing it out, sort solicitors & pay Inheritance Tax. Tough hoing by themselves!). It was a considered recovery as i refused the "borderline chemo" that they offered. But Im doing well nearly 9 yrs on!
Thank you. I found this really encouraging. My colonoscopy is planned for two weeks hence. Rather nervous but if treatment is necessary, best to get it early. Same as you, no symptoms but my sample caused concern 🤞.

Hi Helen - many thanks for the haul - really interesting how Bon Marche keeps poping up with some beautiful everyday clothing my daughter recommended the store - my reaction was classic "Thats an old ladies shop" I am 64 - whoops - anyway I bought a couple of Tshirts & a blue suede
jacket & I get so many compliments from the younger generation about the jacket (not seen another one like it) & the Tshirts well I have washed & wore them so many times & they still have kept their shape unlike T shirts from M&S but thats another story - So good on you Bon Marche!!!!!

Hope you are keeping everything Helen except the 2nd dress which was a bit 'colourful ' - the first dress was beautiful on you as were the other 2 blue dresses. The skirt, trousers and aqua top were lovely also. I think you had a great Summer capsule wardrobe there and could easily take the rest of the Summer off 😅
Have you considered Seasalt? Lots of their dresses/tunics have pockets and returns are free. Delivery on orders over £60 are also free. A higher price point but excellent quality. Most of the fabrics are natural linen or cotton. You will love the linen dresses I am sure. Thanks for another great haul ❤
