As a Phantom V3 owner, I feel the Pantom should be all black. Plus it would look slick all black with the stem light and the white Phantom logo on the platform.
Let's see what we can do :)
typical all black scooter is ugly
100% agree, I own 2 phantoms myself, both self upgraded to V3. :)

As a City Pro 2023 owner I'd say it looks great! I would like to see a "Phantom Black" option though to give it a bit more separation from the Pro model gray. I may sell my City Pro and upgrade next year or gift my City Pro to my wife. Keep up the good work
Alright, say less!
I am giving my City Pro to my wife when this comes out (assuming this is in a range I can afford).
Love it! Looks like a blend between the Pro and the GO. It’s great that you discuss learnings from previous versions and how you address those learnings in the new design.
Phantom is once again a game changer. Awesome
Looks really nice! Excited to see the Stellar version
I love my Phantom V3, but this new Phantom is on another level. I wish you would make it in black so that it won't be confused with the Pro. I would love it in black.
well its not too late. They did say this is just a prototype. Hopefully they're looking at the comments.
Wow!!! Appears you just built the PERFECT scooter. This will cause a lot of grief to the other manufacturers. I will finally upgrade my Phantom V2 to this worthy successor. Any plans to take trade-ins? Great Job! Can't wait.
OHHH been waiting for this video!
My man!!
@@eloipecquet ✊
@@eloipecquet noticed you said drum brakes in the video. Has there been a change or is the stellar model that has disc brakes? The design is sleek Eloi the specs checks all the boxes. This will be a hit.
Noticed on pictures the turn signals are covered, only exposing to the rear, but the live demo version has 360 turn signals, keep those so those behind, side and in front of us can see what our intentions are. You have been hearing it since day one "Phantom Black". Keep the kickstand gray if you must. Have the V2, City Pro 2023 and yes, I'm getting this one too.
I've got 5400kms on my 2023 V3 Phantom. Upgraded the throttle/regen levers, installed hydraulic brakes and put on new handgrips. I got through a lot of tires - but I buy Amazon $40 quick-wearing tires. I'm about 190lbs & I've never had a problem with the stem or handlebars that tightening the bolts & putting white lithium silicone on the stem joint didn't fix. I've got the older stem with the 12mm alan bolt underneath which I could never budge. It cost $2100 on a flash sale @ Apollo & it's paid for itself several times over. I actually enjoy commuting. I take my scooter out between 5:3am-6:30am every morning the weather's ok for it. My pre-dawn rides on my V3 occasionally end shortly before I want them to (~30kms, 1hr of riding, I don't like to ride with < 30% battery, so my ride stops around 35%). It looks like, at least while the battery's new, that the new Phantom will give me another 10kms or so of riding within this range. Until the battery's lower than about 40%, the controllers still put out great power in dual motor, and LUDO can be felt right down to about 35%.
I believe most, if not all, of my grievances/suggestions have been addressed with the upcoming 'Stellar' design. As for the 2.0 52V design, I haven't used drum brakes since I was a kid, an old bicycle with motocross tires - and they locked up nicely all the time. I've hear a lot of complaints about the drum brakes on the Pro, but oddly, not by owners or by people who've put lots of mileage. This makes me think there's something to the claims of broken-in drum brakes having a great bite. some saying they're sharp enough to throw you over the front. All I need for a brake is hard stopping for unplanned, emergency braking. Dedicated regen is my favorite feature on any scooter - and one of the main reasons I'm choosing Apollo over the Namis I was considering.
I always found the best riding is done < 65km/h, but I will test the limits in almost everything I drive/ride. I occasionally hit 70km/h on my V3 which reports a max of 64km/h, so on a calm day with no incline, you're looking at another ~10km/h. The 4-piston hydraulics on the Stellar version seem fitting for something that'll go 90km/h.
The stuff you're removing from the Phantom compared to the Pro, is so far very little. I have no interest in a BT speaker, and can charge my phone almost anywhere.
So far, the only thing I'd get rid of is the bell. I know legally it's required, so that's on me.
I dare you to name the Stellar "Climat" in French, just to mess with Nami. I want everyone to ask what "seal" is in French now. It made my grade 6 French Immersion class so much more enjoyable.
A few curiosities:
What will it weigh? Assuming < 100lbs?
Ground clearance? Will this one handle deeper curbs?
Headlight lumens?
Can the wraparound lighting be disabled so only rear/front lights are visible?
Will upgraded batteries be more accommodating to rapid-charging than the older ones? Assuming only one charger available each, for either 52v or 60v, or is there a separate rapid-charger option from either?
The promo for the signal lights at 0:30 shows an LED on the actual handgrip, facing the rear - is that being considered or actually going into the design? Assume the signal light auto-cancelling will now be adjustable/lengthened?
Can I configure throttle response to change on-the-fly as I iterate between Eco, Comfort and Sport without stopping to change it in the app?
Will % of throttle delivery per front/rear be offered on the 60v? Rain riding is often improved by going 20% F / 80% R on the Nami Klima.
Is there any incentive to being on an early buyers' list? Prices tend to drop significantly after a few months, sometimes by a LOT. The market may dictate this, but it seem punitive to be eager. Are there any benefits to early buying?
When will the influencers be getting the new Phantom? Will they get both versions or is this a Phantom 52V spring, followed by the 'Stellar' release a few months later?
Assuming all the new models will have the recognized certifications so owners can inform their landlords/condo association/managers/worksplaces, that only safe batteries that meet standards are being used/stored?
Are those new LEGO tires even able to take corners??? Are the tires easy to find online? I've never seen square tires on scooters before, how does that affect cornering? They seem to be the same ones on the Nami Klima, so PMT tires should have a good selection already, right?
Love your in depth critique/questions presented. I was gonna comment about how he says drums, but they are apparently going to be disks. ('Sup Apollo? can't redo an old vid to illustrate new realities?)
I have an OG Pro(indie version with all included(iOT and charging mount).
My only comment to you about all this is, what you call square tires, actually round out when inflated.
My three inch(wide) tires are 'ok', but, 4 inch sounds better when it comes to cornering traction.
Your screen name is noted, and I hope to see you in future 'lives' from Apollo.✌🏼🇨🇦
I can tell you the drum brakes on the Pro are not nice. The lever feel is very poor as is the stopping power. I need to use 3 fingers to properly actuate the brakes which is unacceptable imo. If it wasn’t for the regen the Pro would have wholly inadequate brakes.
The phantom 2.0 will come in 2 models: the stellar will have hydraulic disc brakes while the regular will unfortunately keep the drum brakes. The stellar model will also get some other goodies. Feels bad that I bought my Pro only 3 months ago but the prospect of having essentially the same scooter but with better brakes is something I can’t pass up. The regen brakes are just amazing, but they aren’t good if you’re going fast and the drum brakes just aren’t good at all.
There are good drum brakes out there. I had a rinky dink Segway scooter that had a surprisingly good drum brake: better stopping power and lever feel than what Apollo is currently sourcing. Apollo just needs a different drum brake supplier
@@berengerchristy6256 It was my understanding that the regular model would have manual (Non-hydraulic) disks... I might have gotten that wrong???
@@BorealisNights I think you’re right, but what’s shown in the vid has drum brakes. Seems the prototype and promotion material don’t quite line up. I hope it gets discs, even if they’re just mechanical
@@berengerchristy6256 Well, now that were engaged in a little back and forth.. I gotta say I have no issue with my Pro's brakes... that said, Ive never ridden anything with hydro brakes... seems to me it just a matter of finger strength.. I have strong hands and can pop those drums onto a dime.
Other stuff, maybe on their lives, I mentioned my run in with a front bumper.. was easily able to grab a handful of brake and just barely bump into the car.. so gently that the only damage to my pro was the "A" got knocked off and has a small dent in it.... still pondering if I should glue it back on as is, or seek a free replacement with no dent, since it seems the "A" is my bumper. lol.(I was entering a crosswalk when a senior who is not used to our type of vehicles, just rolled on through.. it was potentially a high speed impact but, as I said, a handful of drum(which also loads up the regen at the same time), allowed me to, well, not quite lay it down, just lean to the right hard as I put on the brakes... I only grabbed left, but that means I had rear drum and two wheel regen, 3 out of 4 brakes, one squeeze.
To be honest, in that situation, I doubt disks, mech or hydro, would have made any difference as it was a split second swerve and stop. And by that I mean, I probably noticed about a second before impact the dude wasn't stopping to give my my right of way, so I had a second to react and squeeze... drum +2 regen performed at least as well as a hydro disk would have in that situation. since I leaned hard away from the bumper, yes, I did actually fall over as my scoot got bumped but, geared up so no personal bodily damage, no scooter damage(He had a dent in his bumper which I told him to talk to his insurance about, as I continued on my beautiful warm ride. lol.
✌🏼🇨🇦
Keeping boaters in mind.. mount a good solid basket over the back wheel. The fold up is great. Even commuting, there needs to be a place to put your laptop and lunch... on the front somewhere or over the back wheel. Good job!
*Apollo Pro 2.0
Overall... spectacular! This was a very needed upgrade! I still think you should keep the disc brakes but I don't have a single complaint about anything else. Kudos for understanding the importance of larger batteries! Really great job!
I will miss the disc brakes. I actually really don't care for the drums. This was the one line of scooters without that but here we go. IF you could at least position the levers, that would help...a lot.
Maybe the quick removable battery feature could be good
Nice Eloi, 2.0 is growing on me. I agree with @JaksIRL black coloured frame 👌 I've sent you a PM with some ideas for a separate 2.0 edition I think would be perhaps looking into
The scooter would make a perfect feature for my trail tested channel. I love the kickstand. Great job.
Haha nice. I also trail test, just started. Hopefully you review this one.
6:00 into video. Love it already.
Love the gray colour! It stands out with all the black scooter out there.
Very nice to see the rear fender cover suspension and the upgrades to it! Hope this can be a stable across the rest of the scooters. No more disc brakes?
Can’t wait!!!
A good idea to add to future scooters would be a traction inverter and anti-wheelslip protection, the traction inverter would be able to give good reliability whilst also sounding good and the anti-wheelslip would help, well wheelslip, as someone who lives in an area with lots of inclines, during winter they are a pain to get up.
Damn dude that's a sick ride I'm looking into one I love the fact you make useful changes
Does this have a headlight and i think it should also have a louder horn for safety purposes, where i live in California when i commute im in the street most of the time and no car can hear those bells to be honest
You'll probably hate me for this but since you asked of you missed anything, I think you missed disc brakes for your performance minded enthusiast riders. I understand the omission on the commuter models. I also understand and appreciate the benefits of a dedicated electronic regen braking lever, which I think is outstanding for casual riding. When it comes to performance riding, disc brakes just provide so much more confidence, consistency and linear feel that isn't quite there yet for electronic braking. We love regen so please keep it but please give us disc brakes for maximum stopping power and conventional feel for the times that we want/need it. Basically what you have now but drums replaced with discs.
this is what im buying 😎
bravo belle évolution
look like everything I need.
Damn! I wish I waited for this one..
I absolutely love that you are sticking with drum brakes. I will never buy a scooter with disk brakes again. They are just a huge maintenance hassle.
If the final product turns out great, I may sell my Ghost 22 and buy this. Looks sick!
Looks awesome! I can't wait to hear more about the accessory lineup.
I like the grey look, but I kind of wish there was an all black version.
Can you share why the change from black to grey (just curious)?
I don’t understand how it’s safe to ride this phantom without a loud horn
It probably ain't but you can always buy stuff for upgrades
Grey is a great newby colour so you know a beginner rider is coming through. Black is a better colour for a pro rider. Black on Black with more Black please. 😀
You have by far the best quality 👌🏼, it would be great if there was a much lighter version 🙏🏼 of the new Phantom 2.0 for the city with all the features and above all CABLELESS! 🤩 That would make the scooter so much more attractive if it was a bit more futuristic 🚀, like the ‘Bird Three’ model from Bird 🛴, or the ‘SO ONE PRO’ model from SO FLOW, or the unique model from ‘Unagi Model Eleven’, which unfortunately never came onto the market, where you can't see a single cable! Because the visible cables are absolutely out of date and aesthetically pleasing. 👎🏼 I also think that the orange colour on the scooter is not exactly beautiful and modern 🙈 and could be omitted or at least there could be the option to choose from other colours such as black or silver. 👍🏼 And if there was also a European version 🇪🇺 limited to 25 km/h, then it would be perfect so that you could also ride it in the big cities like Vienna, Rome or Barcelona and, above all, that the scooter is more portable and only weighs 15-17 kg at most, so that you can park and charge it in your home. The European market would be very pleased. 🤗 Thank you 💙
It’s a real pro lite. I got the go. Time to upgrade. Can’t wait
I'm obsessed!
The lighting looks amazing Eloi, the stem light looks soooo good :) the folding mechanism looks sweet too :) Adjustable kick stand...very cool idea :) How about the weight?
Hey Tim! Great to see your comment! Weight is around 90 Lbs right now
@@eloipecquet cheers :) love the entrance lol :)
Overall, the lighting looks amazing.
One day we can pick color, that light blue pro woulda been cool
Love it.
Great one I am buying this one. But quadlock wireless charging should be available.
Could be all black !! Love the new tires 11 inch. Vous idea hydrolic suspension. NFC card ???
Black powder coat like old phantom to differentiate… looks better too
lets go!!!!
Looks great, I just think it needs an electric horn for noisy cities
Okay, send me one out to Las Vegas to test. I'm ready!
Hurry up and make them available please! If the price is the same as v4, I will order one asap!
The Black Phantom !!!! Totally interested ! Now you say cheaper ? That will be nice !
Looks like it's going to be another very interesting and cool scooter. Thanks
But I'm sticking with my Phantom V4, which I ordered at the beginning of June. My dealer in Vienna (Austria; EU) recently told me that the scooter won't arrive until October at the earliest. I was negatively surprised - the V4 has been delivered to customers in the USA and Canada for months. Europe seems to be unimportant for Apollo.
The waiting time is really very grueling.
i was thinking darn if i waited i could have had this one, but there are probably going to be a couple prototypes and I can buy it when it comes out :3, I like the drum brakes, because of the size and weight when travelling on the train i've had to keep it unfolded and I've had a couple people accidentally kick the brake rotors and had it bend enough to hear a constant scraping sound while riding. the only thing i would like to see is a seat option i don't know if the pro seat can be adapted to this, but if it is possible I'd like that for the days I'm riding extended periods
I have a City Pro, which I love, and have been looking for an upgrade/2nd scooter. I hope this is available in Australia.
It is a nice-looking scooter with a good wheel size. It seems comfortable to ride too.
That being said, I'm only interested in comfortable scooters that are portable and affordable.
If I need something heavy and super fast that is over 2K, I'll buy something safer like a motorbike.
Well well 🫶🏿🫶🏿🫶🏿 🙌🏿 👍🏿👍🏿👍🏿 Let’s GO Pro with the 🆕 PHANTOM 2.0 - alL I want is a LongeR Deck (front to back) and I’ll wait to See the next chapter but I’m Buying this One too don’t worry 😉 Love the new improvements 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿 as a Canadian 🇨🇦 company this is next Level
The tires look like a flatter profile than most. How does this affect handling?
Have you considered including PMT tires for a slightly higher price?
Are you charging more for Ludo mode or including it? This was a breaking point for some potential buyers.
Overall, I feel like this will do very well and probably become one of the more popular scooters in this category
Hey
-The tires will be rounder
- Ludo is free
-Yes, we are considering PMT as an ugrade
Which one... the Standard or the Stellar will be most suited for off road riding on MTB single track? Thanks.
Was wondering the same thing!!! Hope they provide an answer.
60V mate
In terms of looks, there should be a way to differentiate between all models. Base design can be same but all should not be similar looking.
May be colour as many are suggesting Phantom to be black.
Fantastic
Alot of people are requesting black... please make options cause i don't want black i like the gray color better
the little Bell is ok if you're only going 5km on the sidewalk..... what about street traffic?
My next scooter!!
Black with RGB please! NO need for Bluetooth speakers. lol...I have a clip JBL for that, much easier for us to manage our own tunes thanks!
RGB is great because when we ride for Halloween, we can do green and orange and purple, etc, and green and red for xmas, etc etc, VERY little cost increase from plain white, while giving LOTS of options and customizability, it's a no brainer! One of my FAV features from my $400 segway that is missing from my $2k+ phantoms. :(
I've had really bad experience being one of the first city pro owners. But this one looks good, but is it going to be reliable?
Hopefully it is all black, would match the name
As a Phantom 2023 owner will there be a trade in option?
nice 👍🏻.......btw how big is deck space?
Apollo pro V2
Lol right
It should include a steering damper
What's the range in battery in km?
Nice work, Eloi... I'm definitely interested in one of these to replace my ghost (> 4000 km on it).
I disagree with the people who want it all black. Black is a colour for people who have no imagination. The grey-orange scheme looks great IMO.
I'd like to see a spot to easily mount and lock a D-Lock to.
I'd like the charging port to be up near the handlebars; it's a high-traffic area; you shouldn't force people to bend down to use it.
I'd also like a stealth mode for when you don't wanna be seen. No swag lights; no indicators, no headlight.
I want a horn. Not just a bell, but an actual 'Honk Honk' horn. I heard the Pro has this... I want it for the phantom. If we need the speaker for it, then I want the bluetooth music too.
I think the name is confusing. There was already a Phantom. And a Phantom V2. You are gonna confuse tf outta your buyers. Call it the V5 or the Super Phantom or something like that.
Anyway, there are a few thoughts for you from an experienced scoot-commuter. Cheers!
The cable is still not completely internal routing, drum brake has less maintenance but pain in the ass to service and terrible when braking, I still prefer the disc brakes.
Hey! will be disc brake in the final one!
There were rumors around about the phantom having split rims with tubeless tires, is that one true or not. Other than minimotors I have not seen another scooter do this, but would be a game changer if it became more standard. Also if its not completely baked yet removable batteries are becoming more and more common would be super cool if the phantom had one. That way the scooter can sta yin the garage or locked in a stairway but then the battery comes inside where the temps are better for it.
My Emove roadrunner pro has split rims and tubeless tires
Hey!We looked into it but apparently they are terrible from what we heard! the rims cracks easily and also the middle seal leaks very often...
@eloipecquet fair. We'll maybe consider user removable battery. But other than that looks sweet. The only thing that stopped me on a Phantom before was tubed tires so even if not on split rims I am interested in it after o see some reviews. Might be my Xmas present to myself.
Are the turn signals visible from the front ? This is my biggest issue when rinding in the city. Since it's often hard to signal with a hand... you know why : )
100% and the new ones will be brighter than ever!
I like the space grey. But phantom should be black. Or change the name
At 6’6” im very tall. The length of the stem on the Phantom V4 works well for me. Will it be as long on the Phantom 2.0?
Even longer on the 2.0
2.0 is looking to be a great daily commuter. MSRP in Australia?
Stellar - $4699
Standard - $3899
Are the lights on the deck controlled by the app?
Are the new tires tubeless?
When you hear the words "self healing" it means yes they are tubeless. None of that tube crap.
Yes they are
Can the charging port wire be run internally, so it’s not exposed? Beautiful scooter but that wire running down the kneck is a bad idea.
Hey! The charging port wire is indeed inside the frame, I am not sure which cable you are referring to
@@eloipecquet my apologies, upon a closer zoom in I see that it was just the edge of indent in the kneck.
Please include wireless charging again and whats the surprise for the first 500 units pre ordered ??
if the n10 screw they are taking about is the one that is attached to the hook lock it has. I had the latch snap off while riding I'm good, but should not have happened but apollo where quick to respond and are sending a replacement but i thought i would say there has been at least one failed because it hurt like a mf when i crashed. love your scooters apollo but what broke should never break
Ok but does it vibrate at 40mph like all the other scooter you have made!!?
I like it, please tell me it has RGB lighting!
Should make a Voodoo green color or race red ghost yellow or a lime 🛴or black.
Wasn’t it supposed to have mechanical discs brakes?
I think there are two version, the cheaper one has drums and the more expensive version has disc
both version will have disc brake, the first and second sample were made with drum brakes!
How far can it go on a full charge?
Price for both versions please and realese date possibly?
@davidpeters2342 Stellar - $3199
Standard - $2699
Release date 2025 first quarter they said.
@@mnc303 is that canadian price?
ᑎIᑕE🏁
Yeah, it would be better if all mat black.
Just tell us the price lol
also please please keep the disk brake pads a common off the shelf type, noone wants to be locked down to some proprietary system
Hey! The will be standard size!
How is the lock/unlock security that the v3 has with locking wheels security? Never been able to lock securely my v3, you just press 5 times power button and you unlock the scooter. Anyone can bypass the v3 security
Hey! On all the 2024 models, you can lock the scooter by pressing 5 times, but only unlock it with the App!
The Phantom 2.0 will also support NFC card!
Make a black option please 🙏
Please allow us to buy an all-black color.
Why in the world do you have an elastic band holding the folding clamp shut?? Isn't the locking mechanism (the red button) good enough? Do I need a silly rubber band on my Apollo Pro? I think the rubber band cheapens the whole scooter and the Apollo engineering reputation. Get rid of it ASAP, IMHO.
it's an extra level of security. You can easily remove the screw and band if you prefer.
@@DeeBatch Haha, why not just use duct tape? :-) My point is that the presence of a rubber band indicates low-quality, untrustworthy engineering of the stem clamp. And (IMHO), that's the opposite of what Apollo engineering is supposed to be... It's even worse to suggest that riders take off the rubber engineering duct tape fix. I'm sure Eloi put it on there for a reason...
Tu fait quand la presentation en francais😂
please make it that only by using the nfc you can enter ludo mode
nice scooter, but; it doesn't really seem like it Phantom style...
I thought you guys were going to use disc breaks?
they are, but apparently too lazy to redo or edit an old vid they made. they do so good sometimes, and fall flat on their faces other times.
I think there will be two versions to choose. There is also going to be a steering damper on one of the versions.
There will be 2 versions, the Stellar version will have hydraulic disc brakes and steering damper .
What's the weight ?
90+ lbs.
@@tgx78 forget it 😂. I have a apollo city 65 pounds and its heavy as hell when I have to go up the stairs with it. 90 pounds, i am going to die...
