  • G Minor Pentatonic (G-Dorian Minor) + Diatonic Fretboard Foundation Mastery ISG Method. Perhaps I will do a breakdown of all the relevant G-Minor Arpeggio positions soon. Develop your own style of lead playing with metal, rock, blues, jazz and neo-classical leads. I'm simply breaking down all the fretboard! Use my L-MALI-DP lead guitar system to master the fretboard FAST! Lydian-Mixolydian-Aeolian-Locrian-Ionian-Dorian and Phrygian in that subsequent order going down the fretboard off your root note!

    I also refer to this as (G-Dorian Minor) as we can see the G minor arpeggio works the same as it does with a natural minor scale (aeolian). This is really cool because if we're playing in E-Dorian master key we use the Dorian diatonic mode scale at the 12th fret low E and we can use the E minor arpeggio as well.

    Not the best vocal teaching, but for those of us who are visual learners… this is golden when you see it.

      Thanks for the comment! I value comments like this as it will help me to know I need to work on areas of improving my vocal delivery. So I will slow down and break down root notes, 3rd and perfect 5th, also the diatonic mode scale with the next note after the interval as we subsequently go down the neck of the guitar. Appreciate you subscribing and your honesty. ISG

      I got a lot out of this lesson.
      For me personally, I do best with a focal point and then observation. Sometimes too much audible information causes overload.

      By the way I'm working on a A-minor pentatonic lesson should be posted by tomorrow. It's along same type of breakdown as G-minor here and I believe I did a better job explaining the notes off of the diatonic scales and relation to A-minor. 12 bar blues backing track and tab diagrams with fretboard positions will be ad the end of the lesson review.

    My system doesn't look at 4th or 6th notes off the major scale to comprise lydian! That approach is advanced lead theory and still centers around the major scale, that is taught by 99% of instructors, this is why most new guitarists getting into trying to learn lead guitar and master the fretboard stay confused! .....my system focuses on (minor master keys) We use the acronym L-MALI-DP to learn all 7 diatonic mode scales in this subsequent order Lydian-Mixolydian-Aeolian-Locrian-Ionian-Dorian and Phrygian which is the true foundation of the fretboard to master lead guitar SUPER FAST!! I show you how to easily identify relative major to all the minor master keys. It's easier to understand and the most practical! SUBSCRIBE TO FINALLY BREAK THROUGHT THE TOTAL FRETBOARD CONFUSION! So that you can get on with enjoying playing guitar. ~ISG~

    arent you shredding G dorian there?

    • @IshredGuitar
      @IshredGuitar  5 месяцев назад +2

      Yes! G Dorian, then whole step to A phrygian, then half step to A sharp lydian then whole step C mixolydian, whole step D Aeolian, whole step to E Locrian, half-step to F Ionian then back to G Dorian at the 15th fret. Again all these diatonic mode positions are for if you're using Pentatonic scale off the root note and its in what I call G-Dorian Minor. If you use G minor bar chords with the 6th note included in the natural minor scale as the first chord in your chord progression thus (G minor/ natural minor = G-Aeolian) would then become your reference master mode off the root note and thus all the diatonic mode scales then shift in order using my L-MALI-DP system! Checkout my (A-minor pentatonic lesson video) as I break it down a little better in understanding why this is, it's really rather simple, its because 12 bar blues progressions don't use the 6th note in the natural minor scale.
