Disassembling the new project bike | '92 RM125 Build

- No it's not the CR build you might have been expecting! While I'm waiting on parts to arrive for that project, this short series will show the freshen up of my '92 RM125.
I've managed to find some pretty cool old school parts to go on this bike and the plan is to go away from the OEM graphics to something completely different!
In this first episode, the bike is stripped down to the bare frame. Enjoy!

get rid of the music and you have a 600k subscriber channel. watched your 20 min rm250 video couldnt stand it. tried to watch this one and made it 7 mins. No i dont want to turn the volume down. i like hearing the tools. Love your builds and videos hat the music

Plastics make it look more like a 91 being yellow instead of factory white. Good lookin bike regardless.

Nice to see more content. Keep up the great work. The 250 was amazing. Pro tip, pull the exhaust springs with a cord insted of the pliers, much easier!
Or a spring puller. Basically a hook.
I want to buy an impact wrech. Can you recommend about the torque (n/m and ft-lbs) needed to fixing a normal bike?

Sick I have a 97 rm 125 bored out to a 148 same seat as yours with purple number plates an shrouds only thing wrong is where the clutch cable hooks up on side of motor is broke so it's rigged up

Ah man, love your videos. Keeps me going forward with restoring my bike. Got a 1985 yamaha xt350. Had it for 10 years and just went through the engine last year. Currently starting the re painting process. 👍👍 keep up the good work!!

Mate, very stoked to see another vid posted up. Cant wait to see the progress of this bike, Your 250 series was so sick, it inspired me to buy a 90s motocrosser. I managed to find a totally original 93 YZ250 in very good nick, I cant wait to give it a good clean up. 1 question, how long did it take to strip this 125 down? Cheers

Strip down took nearly two days! If I wasn’t filming then it’s probably a two hour job. That’s how much longer it takes when doing these videos!!

The legend is back love your work, I have purchased a clean ish kx 125 1997 and a clean low hour cr 250 2007 got the cr very cheap of some old farmer he used it for couple of years from new all stock I might offer it for sale to pay for kx resto as kx is dear to my heart , keep up the good work and fair dincum? I got this bike new at the end of 91, best bike ever. Everything was perfect on it, suspension, motor, handling, it was the bike to have in 92. I won a bunch of races and a state championship on that bike. Good times!
Keep up the great work mate! I binged watched the RM 250 restore last summer and have been anticipating the next build. Exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The graphics on the bike are just aftermarket replacements, as is the seatcover. They'll be changed out for something different - I already have the OEM look on the 250 build. Cheers!

Do not read this when ur eating or gonna eat!! Ha funny , I did a RM250 92 and now I was/am kinda in the process of doing a 91 RM125 , the frame has a fresh coat , the block is almost ready ( need some ignition parts) but the biggest problem now is myself. Had bad fall , went over the bars on a hard track , and ripped my guts , not so bad but someone misdiagnosed me and when (after a few days) I went from bad to worse I went to surgery and when I got sedated I flatlined 😮 and it took a bit to long to get me going again.... yes I turned into an acid bomb. So now everything goes harder.. and I am a lot slower ,but enough about that ... has anybody got a 89 90 91 ignition-coil for me and a 91 magnetic flywheel ?
One is being broken up right now on ebay from a UK seller and its a 91
