the pickled green 명이나물 is wild garlic! They sell them at whole foods when in season
One of my favorite banchan, easily!
It’s soooo good. Super garlicky. I would compare it to ramps in the US
The food is always better when the Owner's lovely
Video starts @2:00
Korea has one of the best affordable omakase places, most likely because of great accessibility to high quality seafoods at great prices
Absolutely - eating good raw fish here is like walking in the park. Just go out and enjoy it.. 🙂
Doesn’t Korea come in as one of the highest consumption of Seafood in the world? You guys have been on Pew’s naughty list…can you imagine if the entire world ate seafood the way Korea, Japan and China do? Maybe y’all should cut down and not overfish so the rest of us have a taste?
Looks like the KBBQ butcher restaurant is 늘푸른정육식당
145-14 Nonhyeon-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, South Korea
Keep up the awesome work Mike! Support from Missouri!
Oh wow all the food looked great as always. Loved the look of the sushi and with the soba noodles sounds so interesting!
Mike needs to post the date that he visited restaurants and places because these places sometimes go out of business or they move.
OMG Thank you so much for finding places to eat that's hidden away! I love your videos:)
Oh my gosh the cream cheese balls looked sensational and that Korean BBQ looks so awesome 😍 I’d love to go to Korea and try their amazing food
Notice when the food he's eating isn't affordable for normal folk he doesn't mention price
That food looks great Mike South Korea looks beautiful. Thanks. Your videos always make me smile.
Another great video!!! Love it. 🍣
You usually want to eat the raw fish sushi with the wasabi and soy sauce first. Then follow it up with the sweeter shellfish. But Mikey here is eating the entire sushi platter in reverse
wow. that brisket looked soooo amazing. i knew it was going to be epic when i saw it. my fav at bbq is also brisket. wow. 12 piece for like $40. for that quality. thats the best deal ive seen for sushi. regular sushi place in ca costs way more than that.
My favorite at kbbq is beef belly personally.
I just had a full teeth extraction... now I can live vicariously through Mikey eating until I heal up. Keep up the great work Mikey! You're doing me & the rest of the world a great service!
My heart goes out, that sounds no fun. I have to have a wisdom teeth pulled in a week and happen to be in Seoul now.. I'm eating like there's no tomorrow 🤣
That's brutal! I hope you recover quickly, and hopefully they pumped you full of knockout drugs for the procedure.
Ugggggh, tooth things are always the worst!! I cracked my tooth vertical, and no x-ray detected it. They wanted to do a root canal, I told them just pull it. I was on soooo many antibiotics.
@@kimsmith6666 yikes.. that sounds rough! Once it was all over I hope you had some Korean food to lift your spirits back up 🤣
@@thatpointinlife nothing but one Valium & novicane... ugh
The random green that tastes like garlic I'm pretty sure is a variety of what we call ramps in the United States. Those would be the leaves of the plant.
I'm living on the edge today. Didn't expect the upload so I'm watching hungry. 😬😄
🤣
The mystery vegetable banchan (Mani Namul) was soy pickled garlic ramps
Those garlic ramps get me right in my soul 🤣
Mike Chen Always finds way to entertain and never fails
Drooling mode on SUSHI AND KOREAN BBQ
Mikey can you list Names of earring establishment and the prices of each meal in future videos? Or just tell us at end of meals ?
Nice to see you eating Mike!
Mike feasting on the whole ocean.
His vlogg jump all over the place. At intro he was in Singapore and now we in Korea BBQ.
I have always wanted to try this type of restaurant
I hope soon 🙏🏽✌️
One day Mike will learn how to dip sushi lol
If Mikey chen donated one meal for every one he ate, in one month he could end world hunger
05:11 that green is called 명이나물(or 산마늘). its pickled ramps:)
Love the Cape Cod Shirt! I was originally born and raised on Cape Cod, MA but now live in Florida. I do miss the food from my home town. Did you do a video on Cape Cod that I some how missed (hence the shirt). Thank you for all the wonderful videos!
I want that sushi plate! The variety and the quality ouffffff.
damn singapore now? u everywhere again! so jelly but so excited for the videos!
Watching this video makes me hungry
Food looks soooo delicious
Love sushi and this video is so interesting.
I so appreciate the detailed flavors you described for the sushi! I've never seen most of that type of sushi. Super cool discovery in Korea! 👍🏽👍🏽
Sushi definitely looked great! Here in Korea there are some really great ways of eating raw fish, definitely worth checking out 🙂
Korean sushi is slightly different than Japanese Sushi, if you have mostly Japanese sushi restaurants in your city, chances are you cannot find the Korean salt water eel but you can still find the rest of the sushi in a proper Japanese sushi restaurant.
Hi Mike Chen
At the start of this video, you said you were in Singapore. But throughout the video, you were in Korea 🤣🤷🏻♀️
Another epic video Mikey 🥰🥰🥰
I'm sorry but .. 11:21 that is not even real crab and it's disrespectful to sell it as king lol
Desire to go back to South Korea rising! Thanks for another awesome South Korea video, can't wait for awesome Singapore videos as well~ :D
His Korea videos are my favorite of the bunch!
2:34 gem of a little market! I like it since it’s not crowded
Very beautiful looking 🍣. Fish you wouldn't normally try. Delicious sushi. Wow. I put wasabi and soy sauce on everything So it doesn't matter to me.🍣🍣🍣❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥
dang, I never knew people can be so excited about Surf Shark VPN lol. Thanks for the video Mikey!
❤🤤❤❤Your channel is literally my comfort place. You make me so happy. Love you 🤗❤
I love to go to Korea🇰🇷. I love BTS ❤Jjajangmyeon🍝, Tteokbokki, noodle🥤, Kimuchi, Samgyeopsal🤤❤
Do you ever dream about some of the places you've eaten because you've craved it so much after being there?
Mike you need to get permanent residency in Korea - you visit so often… the name of the BBQ joint in Gangham ?
We should all be getting permanent residency and just eating to our heart's content 🥲
welcome to sg again!! next week (09 August) is our country's national day... ur in at just the right time!!!
Any meat with the mountain garlic is a bomb. So good
Welcome back to Singapore Mike. Enjoy your extended stay.
Great video, food look amazing 👌🏻, I also like Mike t-shirt excellent message
I always start with raw and go to cooked (if I have cooked). I always do eel last because it is so sweet and yummy, and I will often have it with plum and warm sake bomb
Same here - raw before cooked, or else my tummy starts making harsh demands at 2 am.
Finally you're back in Singapore! please go try & do a review of KFC satay chicken & McDonald's Laksa burger
For sushi I always save the unagi for last
If I wasn't filming. it would be gone in a minute!! LOVE IT!!
King crab - "I should have saved that for last"
Next piece scallop - "That's the best piece by far"
Mike Chen
Wish you did more in Italy but I would go to SK for those two restaurants.
Absolutely love your channel. Watch it always. I am going to Bali. Farthest I have ever travelled. Can you give me some places to eat. Thanks 🙏
That looks good and what a shirt, golden baubles !
5:10 I _think_ that might be pickled perilla leaf. Could be wrong, but that's my best guess.
Nice job grilling the beef. Almost makes me want to eat red meat again.
hi I love your new food video a lot
Mike go to Born and Bred in Seoul and try their speak easy/course meal for hanwoo! Its expensive but worth the money!
Mike - Gangnam is not Korea - watch Gangnam Style by Psy. I would love to see you explore other parts of Korea like you explore Gangnam.
I wanna share a meal with Mikey
Mike is the master of the chopsticks.
I would love to go to Singapore one day.
Hope you’re good Mikey
Could you give the name or adress of the first KBBQ restaurant? I'm going to Seoul next year and I really want to try it!
Every time I watch your videos I wonder how you manage to consume so much food.
That's looks like lovely i wish he could tour Ireland
Mikey, if you're gonna compare sushi gods, I need a comparison to Jiro, of Jiro Dreams of Sushi, Netflix.
I think you ate your nigiri in reverse order. 😅
That just looked like the perfect combo. Naughty crispy deep fried food, beautiful beef and some new sushi to try!!! Mikey I never thought I'd see you eat a mixed sushi platter.... hope you enjoy it and it's not just for views 😜
ps the green stuff is wild garlic. I did an Easter egg hunt through it once and my shoes stunk for days from it!! Never tried it pickled so gonna have to try
That wild garlic flavor gets me every dang time, no exceptions!
Hi Mike, Have you heard of the Korean Englishman if not you should check them out. He loves Korea you all would make a good show together.
He eats sushi now. Praise the heavens.
Unagi - freshwater eel
Anago - saltwater eel
For those wondering ∩^ω^∩
I was just in Singapore recently. Would highly recommend you visit Yanxi Dim Sum and Hotpot. Their Laksa broth was absolutely amazing.
I've read that Singapore has a lot of their citizens learn english. Would I as a mainly english speaker be able to make my way in Singapore and with the locals? I really wanna visit it.
You’ll have no problems in Singapore as an English speaker.
@@2xHyper no problem at all. Only time I had trouble was in China town. Most still speak English though.
@@Xelexius cool
Hi Mike!!! I like how it was immediately, meat!!! 😁
Love 💕 the videos 💗☺️💕💕💫💫💫
You're living my dream sir, thanks for the consistent motivation 💪
I love sushi it’s delicious
He is a sushi pro for sure!
Hey Mike, if you ever in Chicago, stop by Amarit Thai restaurant in downtown. They have great authentic Thai food and sushi too. Peace out!
Or Ukai sushi place in Lincoln Park
Love the channel Mikey !!
Love this channel too, and this was one of his best videos in awhile!
Hello, have you tried Korean fermented stingray? I would like to see your point of view on such a bizzard food like that as well.😀
oh my gosh he's coming back to singapore
Mike, what's the exact location of the KBBQ place? I want to go there this weekend and try it! 😆 TIA
I recommend 대학로 현초밥
Menu. 연어초밥
합정 금성회관
Menu. 갈빗살
Come to Vegas again!!!!!!!
I think you should have saved the uni for last agreed. By the way Mikey how do you choose which content you put on each channel?
I've always wondered, is it bad form to put salt on the meat before throwing it on the grill?
hainan story's fried pork curry is great..
Go to Dominican republic or Puerto Rico... That's a vid i would love to see
I eat salt thru you Mikey😂
That looks lie the best sushi sampler!
Mike, are you sorting out delivery of your Hot oils, to Canada. Still can’t buy any. As it states, cant work out delivery to your area.
Looks sooo good. Simple and satisfying. A small bowl of rice added and it would be perfect.
Yummmmm
God bless u always and be safe in ur travels to one of my favorite places.
oo welcome back to singapore!
I miss Krista. This is South Korea right? Where's Krista??
Did anyone get the name or addresses for the 3 places? I'm building a list of places to visit.
Sign language? Does Miss Christine not speak Korean? That beef looked heavenly, for sure! I wasn't aware that Japanese style sushi & sashimi was popular in Korea, so I find that interesting.
He was talking about the owner since they are Korean.
