Thank you! Will be getting back to Donegal soon enough. I was actually coming to surf different spot but didn't work on the day and I really want to surf it as I been told when its good its one of the best spots in Ireland just need to catch it on good conditions as its fickle.
@@mrbeansys I can see you getting some unreal waves this winter ! Seeing you outside your van on that deserted point , pumping surf , amazing sunset , it made me smile , you have won the lottery ! 😁✌🙏
@@nottherealmccoy4955it was really tricky as well as the wave wasn't breaking in the right spot so if you get stuck in the middle you didn't have a good time 🤐 but really glad I got out and had two rides in biggest surf I tried in years.
I definitely underestimated this spot it didn't look this big and powerful from the beach but barely managed to get out and then seen how big it actually is I kinda got those two waves and was happy with that didn't want to do anything crazy anymore:)
Total paddle fest! I would need a boat to get me out the back. Donegal is a gem. You touched on it in this content but would be interesting to hear what boards and fin set ups you use for each location and conditions.
That's one of my flows I am 100% self taught and I really never had someone teach me or instruct me in anything surf related other then basic stuff at beginning so its all trial and error kinda of thing. I know you need different boards for different waves but haven't a clue in none of it hence I went out with 6.6 twin fin in huge waves and really didnt feel it worked. My 7.4 One bad egg that I surf with single fin worked on biggest surfs I tried that's why I was crying for it as I never felt is "skate" out on me as I felt 6.6 in these conditions.
Yo dude love that you’re enjoying our local spot, some quality footage! Keep it secret brother🫡🤫
Thanks bud lovely part of Ireland and I'll certainly be back at some point.
What an epic spot , great video , one of your best so far ! ✌🙏
