Boys, the book series this is based on is unbelievable! It changed my life!! I can't wait for this adaptation. And yes, there actually is a central mystery/riddle to the story that has a concrete answer.

Real shit, Obama wanted to the read last and 3rd book in advance so he had his congressional aid email the Chinese author in China and they later got China's government involved just so they can reach the author... it was just nuts.

I'm making my way through the book now. I should have it finished by tomorrow. This story has such a large scale and impact on my philosophy and perspective. I hope it's good. There's a Chinese version of the show right now on Amazon prime, it came out last year.
don't worry the books has explanations (and detailed ones) to all the mysteries you've encountered in this trailer. I hope they won't spoil this masterpiece, the trailer looks great, but it a difficult story to adapt. But anyway this won't be like lost. Absolutely everything has been thought in advance. It's not just mystery for mystery. The source material is the total opposite of that it's an hard SF coherent trilogy with a deep love for science in wich everything is written for a specific reason.
On a scale of 1 to 7, how advanced would you say Humanity is? Maybe a 0.6? Now...imagine if an alien race with a civilization advancement of 3.5 decided they wanted Earth because their civilization was unstable due to orbiting 3 stars. Now...also imagine that everyone in the universe wants to destroy one another once they discover another exists. Then imagine that there is ALWAYS a bigger fish.
This series is based off of a trilogy of books that are truly amazing! Some of the best sci-fi I've ever read! It's so large in scope, and re: subject matter that leaves you thinking about reality in a whole different way. In a much BIGGER way. It's some brain-bending stuff... so I hope that the show can do it justice! They've got 3 books of material to pull from, and I'm praying that they stay as close to the source material as they possibly can! 🥲🙏🏼 It deserves it!
