Omg I just started watching the show just casually but it's soo good..Roma Downey has Aged like fine wine I couldn't recognize her until episode 6 after seeing the comments here.Touched by an Angel was one of my favorites, Elizabeth baxters voice was making me go nuts like I couldn't place where I have heard the voice before and then there it is it's Roma.
Of course, you didn't recognize her, she's had Botox and plastic surgery.

Read all the Baxter books. Liked the Indiana based stories, but the whole series changed when it got too involved in Hollywood and the movie stars. Hope the yv series remains mostly Indiana based

I've read almost all of Karen Kingsbury's books.
The Redemption Series was her very first series that I ever read and is on of my favorites. I am so excited to see the actress's and actors portrayal of my favorite fictional family! ❤️

I'm sorry I just don't understand the hate surrounding this incredible show. We definitely need some more wholesome family drama shows with a Christian twist, which is something we are missing these days rn, and this show is IT in my eyes. God bless Amazon Prime for delivering us THIS BANGER of a family drama series. Amen AMEN!

I love LOVE Sis. Roma!! I've watched every single episode of Touched By An Angel at least 3 times! I pray there will be a season 4, 5, 6, etc..... I really don't watch television that much HOWEVER anything with Roma Downey in it I WILL WATCH! Her true love for our God shows on camera! PLEASEEEEEE do more seasons!! FYI this was finished in 2018, God knew how inspiring to all his children this would be! That's why it took so long. He always knows the RIGHT TIME!!!

It’s truly incredible. In just a few days, I'm already almost through s2. As someone who works in Hollywood, it’s so refreshing to see a faith-based show come to life with such conviction! Way to go Amazon! Nice work. Seeing this family overcome major challenges and heartbreak, while holding tightly to their faith in God is exactly what we need more of in entertainment today 🫶🏻

The writers decided to kill off the ONLY two Black male characters. One redeemed himself and got back on the right track, after committing adultery, and one was a preacher. Both got shot lol.

It's a book series about the Baxters. They have multiple adult children. The first book focuses mainly on one lady and her husband. The next book is about Ashely and her brother. The complete series has about 15+ books.

I just finished binge watching all three seasons. I love this show. I have read nearly all of Karen Kingsbury series books and stand-alone books and I literally will stay up late to finish one. I wish they would do a movie with her trilogy "Angels Walking" Please powers that be do a season 4.

There's a lot of differences between the book series and the TV series

Questions and inconsistencies: 1. Luke turned away from his family. But who continues to pay his bills for school, food, car etc? His parents? 2. Who paid for Ashley's bills for her apartment/house? 3. Who paid for Reagan's LA apartment? 4. No comment was zecer made about Tim and Kari being an inter racial couple. That's odd. When Tim's mom was listing all the things she wanted baby Jesse to experience growing up, she never mentioned the baby learning of her African American history. That's not normal. 5 All the fire fightets in LA, all the fire stations in LA, all the public parks on LA...isn't it odd that Landon is the one of many LA fire fighters to help specific pregnant Reagan and she loves close to that fire station and Kari and Ashley went to that particular park to randomly see Landon and Reagan. Too many co incidences. 6. The church was celebrating a special time the day of the shooting, the church came together to get over the tragedy, and the church people were all there at Kari 's wedding. Where were the Flanigans, that other stalwart church faniky? 7. In the book, Hailey, not Maddie, was the one of Brooke's girls who was ill. Is it just too early in the shows to see this

The answer to #2 is Ashley got a settlement from the car accident that she was in.

I enjoyed the faith base premise of this series, HOWEVER, there are about 3 Baxter sisters that act like they are still in high school when it comes to the men in their lives! I'm sorry I had to put it out there, but many times the way they carried on reminded me of how I acted in high school! I don't know if it was for dramatic effects attempting to keep the subject matter within PG-13 range but as grown women I expected more maturity in their characters! There were also some plots that seemed unrealistic on many of the episodes, but again I think it's for dramatic effects to lead the audience into the next episode. Also, the men seemed to always be catering to the women's every need (except for the character Erin and her spouse) and yet not much reciprocating from the WOMEN to their men and that irked me to see these men's characters act so like Beta men! Nevertheless, I truly enjoyed Roma as the Matriarch of the family, and Tim as the Patriarch, the bible verses at the beginning of every episode were very inspiring as well as the bond between the sisters although they still behaved as though they were still in high school. So having said all that, my only con to the series is I wished that the characters of the WOMEN were more mature. LASTLY, at the beginning there were two African American leads in the series and although I was not surprised when they were KILLED off, I was and continue to be terribly, incredibly disappointed in this narrative of storylines in 2024! Then later they introduced an African American man who lived in a very large home however, his screen time was limited to one or two of the last episodes of the series. Again, it's so unfortunate that African Americans still are rarely given a seat at the table and instead are offered up on the table!!!
I’m Hispanic and there were two Hispanic character’s on the show. One with a heavy accent. But that didn’t bother me bc the show wasn’t about them. The show was centered around the Baxter family which happened to be white. If I wanted to watch an all Hispanic drama series, I would be watching Univision. Saying this to say that the only time people always seem to have a problem is when black people are involved. I dont see Hispanic’s complaining nor Asians complaining that there was just one random Asian guy reading the Bible with his friend’s while Luke was cleaning the lawn at the big house where the older black man lived. I don’t remember white people complaining that Christian based series Greenleaf didn’t have enough white people. I actually watched and loved that show too and didn’t get offended that the only Hispanic character on that all black Christian series was the maid. When I watch something I’m not looking for representation bc the only one who can represent me is me. I’m just looking for a good plot for entertainment purposes.

Looks like weak, self-indulgent, emotional garbage. When a woman tells another woman, "I have been struggling with..." it's feelings-porn all day long.
I'm watching it without sound because I have a grandpa and I'm looking for something to watch in the evening with my wife, the editing is total shit, no composition, you're causing a drama because they broke up and have different partners, I hope it's a movie because I feel sorry for Amazon that they're throwing money left and right on this kind of shit instead of giving a raise to employees, scandal, I watched a lot of romantic, dramatic films, I have the right to judge such crap without being (a professional critic), you can compare this profession to watching a child watching a dog poop and wondering what the lack of flow is in this trailer, why show all we are only interested in the characters, this couple, it's not tiktok or shorts, you have to encourage people to watch after this trailer, 2 hours of the movie, he has to be curious about what will happen, but no, let him have half of the movie in the trailer, it's not Marvel, in such movies, mystery is the basis, these movies are intended for most women and this is the target, not children from tiktok 4/10 too many jumps people who are not important in the trailer why someone zooms in on the coach hahaha why does someone show that they broke up it was enough to show the nice time spent together of this couple at the end an aggressive or mysterious scene that what happened why it happened why he left why she was upset or why they are sad make the viewer interested the lack of logic and this political correctness stings the eyes why he didn't cheat on/hurt her with a Latina or a Japanese woman I gave it 4 just because I could it was to be improved
I couldn't get through this first episode of this tripe. If you believe in Hallmark Christians who all look like catalogue models in the most vapid, shallow and ridiculous soap opera, this is for you. I can't believe this garbage is on Prime.
