I really liked the xl more than the Roosevelt as well. It's a solid knife! I did a comparison video with the two. I didn't think about the opening hole being xl sized as well though, great video!
Direct price comparisons between US and Chinese goods, particularly for US-made custom knives, are inappropriate. However, a $1000 price point for the Roosevelt model is excessive, reminiscent of the Benchmade Narrow's high cost relative to its features.
Hard to beat the Roosevelt and Roosevelt XL. Price aside, they are some of the most perfectly executed and designed knives I’ve owned and I’ve owned so many knives. Price is subjective but paying retail or slightly under is fine with me. It’s horrendously expensive for a small operation to produce these caliber knives in the US.
I have the same reaction: it's usually a mistake to do a 1:1 scaling when changing the size of a knife. I think this would have been better if Oz had stretched it about half as much in height.
Goldilocks would be the XL at about 85% or so. Agree that shrinking the hole and finger groove would make sense. Acoustics are maybe the best of any folder I’ve owned…no accounting for taste! And they are definitely pricey…win a lotto at your own risk.

I definitely agree with you when it comes to the scaling. Clean cool piece either way

I really do appreciate your channel and overall attitude towards knife collecting. Thanks again!
Thank you, that means a lot

I would even say a lot overpriced
The XL is way way better for me. I only wish the blade was a bit thicker. Love this design in the XL

Both of my XLs are in Magnacut
Oh nice

That's a big boy!
It is!
Love the standard size at $700 bucks, xl at 1k I’m good
Never been a fan of either rosies. I found no point considering the fact that a shaman probably outperforms both. Very cool knife though.
As long as you can touch the walls, you're good to go...................wait, what?
🤣
Carter is afraid of putting his thumb in a hole 😂😂😂😂😂
🤣
Didn't you win in the last Lotto for an XL?
I did. I only entered because by buddy sent me this one to check out. He cost me lots of money 🤣
@@edged_mindset 😂😂😂.... I hear ya
@@edged_mindsetLook at #42 of the same Lotto 😁
Handled a friend’s regular Rosie…I don’t get the hype vs. price 🤷🏻♂️
That's about where I am too
They made it too big.
It's awesome. I wish it was thicker.
