He wasn't too beloved by the Boys back then, though. He's chill now, but he also was never particularly engaged (read: aloof) with guys, and didn't particularly know or care about keeping guys he worked with all that safe (to use CM Punk's now immortalized term: "Hurty"). Guys from the day remark he personally gave more of a shit about playing softball than working in the biz. Unfortunately, his work tended to show how little he gave a shit about wrestling.

To me Sherri"s interview is the most telling. She is the only one that really had a relationship with both Savage and Elizabeth. I really think she tries very hard to be positive about both of them but she pauses and picks her words very carefully when speaking about Randy's treatment of Elizabeth. Then she says they were both jealous and over protective. I think that she is covering for Randy a little bit here. I don't think there is any question about her feelings toward Elizabeth. When she speaks about her at the end of the interview she nearly breaks down and her love for her is authentic. I think this says a lot about what kind of a person Liz was.

I had the privilege of being in the ring with Tracy as one of his "kids" during a pre-match promo about 5-6 years ago & it was awesome. I went with my trainer to a show called Heros & Legends of Wrestling in Ft. Wayne Indiana. Tracy picked me out of the crowd & asked me if I had any interest in coming to the ring with him later that day for a promo he was doing (FUCK YEAH I did!). He was a hell of a nice guy & a professional. I screwed up his promo a little & afterward I went to him to apologize for my misstep. He told me, "No problem kid, shit happens & I think you did a great job.", where some vets would've been PISSED. Depending on who it was, I may very well have had my ass handed to me in front of that crowd, but not Tracy. My only regret (Besides screwing up his promo) is that I only ever met him that one time & never had the pleasure of working with, or around him again.

I’m old enough to have watched Elizabeth stand up, climb over the rail, and run to the ring and stop Sherri from beating up Macho Man after Warrior pinned him with his foot on Randy’s chest. There were a couple other times randy got tied up in the ropes and one incident was
when honky tonk man was going hit him over the head with his guitar and Elizabeth got in the way and I think honky pushed to the side and hit randy,
And another time randy was caught in the ropes Jake the snake made his snake bite him in his bicep for real, you can actually see it clearly biting randy while randy was screaming in pain, I don't think Elizabeth got in the way on that one lol

Mad respect for this guy for his years of dedication, and I hate it that at this stage in his life he has to work the Indies to make a living. Would be great if WWE or AEW could reach out to this man and offer him a job in some capacity behind the scenes as an agent or a trainer or something after he wins his cancer battle. Let The man enjoy the later years of his life without having to go out there and beat himself up in front of a hundred people at 57 years old just to pay The bills. The man deserves more.

@@andrewmachado6988 Mean Jean said in an interview that Randy kept to himself, didn't hang with other wrestlers, his grandfather or father was in the business, so he knew the type of men that were in wrestling, and maybe that's why he locked doors, kept her away from other men, and acted out whenever a man stepped to her. I don't think it was jealousy, as much as he knew there was something about Elizabeth that was a destructive trait, and if she latched on to certain people or certain vices it would've been the end, and low and behold, he was right, they broke up and she died from pain killers and alcohol. From, Randy's last interview, I've seen when speaking about Elizabeth, he said they had run into each other 6 years prior, made peace, and he prayed for her family when he found out she had died. Randy had moved on, by then, he was in a relationship with his childhood sweetheart, and wasn't into the character anymore, and didn't want that life, but he made sure to still embrace kids and visited the children's hospital. Ultimately, if Randy and Elizabeth could respectfully move on, they knew their love was ill-fated. I think underneath the mask, was just a simple man, that probably got tired of having to be a character for so long. jmo

So what? It takes 2 to tango, he obviously had no trust in his wife either. Like she would just have sex with the first wrestler to walk through the door there and then or something. He used to set up secret cameras in the house when he was away so he could watch georgous george. That is such a paranoid insecure person amd of it wasn't for his insane behaviour ge a d elizabeth would likely have never divorced and perhaps she would still be alive today, i doubt he would due to heart issues & steroids but he probably would have lived longer. wow i didnt realize tracy smothers was that popular. around 2009 i was doing concerts and i performed at a few wrestling gigs he did. they were mixing music with wrestling at venues. i didnt really get to talk to him but we were all in check in together just hanging out and he was doing leg stretches on the stairs. i remember because my friend walked by and said "tracy smothers ass almost hit my face as he was stretching" and i laughed so hard. but he seemed like a nice guy. i have some old pics of the events. also side note, ray rowe was also a wrestler there and he was really nice to us all the time. ven exchanged emails with my other band member. i kept saying to myself this guy is going to get signed by someone, he has to. he just stood out. my friend saw ray at a festival and back then we were doing these slap challenges. something to kill time usually at check ins or when we were sitting around. alot of musicians would get slapped in the chest by a wrestler lol. so my friend got a hand slap to the chest at a festival and had ray rowes hand imprint on him for like 2 weeks lol. few years later after he moved and created the whole viking thing he got signed to wwe.

I like these one, where there are a lot if different wrestlers talking about the same thing. And each guys spotbis short and to the point. But long enough to get the point across. Also I like this channel
Very good wrestling channel. I'm 44 and I prefer the old one's. Your good at Editing the videos and we're in a cut and where to start anyways a great channel this video's awesome. I like the 80s and 90s. Those are my 2 favorite era's and I LOVE anything about the territories. That's why wrestling was so good in the 80s amd 90s amd the beginning of the 2000's. Each Territories had ki,d of there own style. So guys back then who traveled. Learn all style's and that's why wrestling was so good back then. And wrestling will never ever be that good again because of that!!! I know it wont happen and is Impossible for thar to happen again. I wish there was a way to make the territory system to come back. Like call it a minor league. For it to work it would have to be on t.v. each territory. Every Territory would have to be and then let them expand or contract as the free market says so. You can actually have a very profitable territory system if done that way. And then the major titles those would be and satellite or cable nationwide and globally and have russellmania the Super Bowl every single tail on the line and leading up to that each territory would be a sickly have a play off and have it slowly wean themselves down to their local champion if he can hold on to that belt come wrestlemania he goes after the current world heavyweight champion but then you have to let the major leagues have their year long continue stuff going on because that's the major leagues. Like I said I know little never happen but it sure is fun to think of and since that's not possible cost technology they could make it into a video game
