One thing you're gonna hafta get used to in One Piece is that there's A LOT of build up; but the pay off is SO worth it. It's like a dopamine rush. Oda spends so much time building up seemingly hopeless scenarios and making us hate villains, that by the time they finally get their comeuppance it's so damn satisfying.
