    Well said Mr. Streamer. I feel like this Ana is really good for their rank. Not even many Gold Ana players make aggressive plays like this. Once they can react better to the enemy disrupting their plan, they'll easily get back into gold and hopefully higher later on.

    Please continue to vod review. I climbed from bronze to plat using your content and even now I can realize what I'm doing wrong in my own gameplay without vod reviews. I learn something new every single time i watch one of these and I hope one day i'll be able to reach masters/gm

      sure, this person definitely does things well. when we're watching vods, regardless of rank, it's good to focus on BOTH what they do well and what needs more work. but if they've been playing since 2019 (and assuming they've been able to play consistently over time), they have only been improving at the same pace as the rest of the community, not getting better at an above average rate. so they definitely have stuff to learn, like we all do. I am 100% confident that you do certain things better than they do, just like they might be better at some of the things you struggle with.

    Im only 3 minutes in but I’m a plat Ana (looking to improve lol) and I feel like as a healer your number one job is to keep the team up and there was a few times he had teammates at critical health and decided to be aggressive and focus the enemy rather than heal. Which might play into the focusing at one thing at a time problem. I personally try to keep most of my teammates (all of them if I can) in my line of sight so I can keep track of everyone’s health and keep them up. Only if my teammates are at high health will I then focus the enemy. But as soon as I see a teammate take damage I’m right back on them healing. Also you can even keep track of a teammate over extending and predict he’s about to take a lot of damage and start pre firing him so he doesn’t get melted lol.

    Anyone have any tips about being held in spawn

      by yourself or with your whole team? my advice would depend on which one

    • @atm0340
      @atm0340 Год назад

      @sethescope most of the time it's my whole team repeatedly dying in front of the spawn door and as a support I feel like there's not much I can do

    • @sethescope
      @sethescope Год назад +1

      @@atm0340 oof, yeah I can definitely relate to that feeling. it's not an easy situation. so the issue with being stuck in spawn is that the enemy team's pressure on your team exceeds the pressure your team is putting on the enemy team. what you and your team needs to do in that situation is push them back. I know this sounds totally obvious, but I'm just trying to organize my thoughts lol
      pushing them back isn't as simple as "pick this hero lol and it will work." however, some support heroes have greater capacity to apply the kind of pressure this situation requires.
      to put it frankly, you and your team need to get some kills to make the enemy back off. so I think switching to Baptiste, Zenyatta, or Kiriko can be good choices. breaking shields in this scenario should be a priority, too. that can make the enemy hesitate to stay right at your spawn because without a shield, enemy spawn isn't as easily held.
      basically, you need to switch gears if your team is just hard stuck in spawn and focus on doing things to the enemy because they're all really focused on doing things to you and you need to disrupt that plan. you can't wait for your team to just win the fight, you need to help in a more aggressive way than just healing. just healing - in this specific situation - is the passive way to play in lower ranks, imo. you need to contribute pressure to overcome the enemy pressure.
      take my advice with a grain of salt, I'm not a genius at overwatch, but I think this is at least a good way to think about it. don't just rely on the advice about what heroes to pick because that's not all there is to it. situations vary wildly, team comps vary, etc. but definitely experiment with different hero picks, experiment with intentionally changing your play style in this situation, try different things but whatever you do, make sure there is a reason you're doing it.
      And most importantly, watch the vods of your games and ask yourself what you could have done differently. not "what would have changed the outcome of the fight" but "what could/should I have done differently to give my team even a 1% better chance of winning?"
      don't ask yourself what your team should have done. don't focus on their mistakes because that doesn't help you learn or improve. you can't control them. you can only control what you do. thinking about it this way has helped me immensely to become a better support player.
      good luck with your games! ☺️
