  • You can do a lot of great things with rum. Make rum balls, soak a chocolate cake, pour it into a glass of cola, and of course, entertain pirates, but maybe my favorite thing to do with rum, especially around the holidays, would be to butter it. Enjoy!

They used a combination of butter, sugar, spices and whipped cream. They kept the topping in the fridge or on ice. You might also like, as a serving/presentation option, to froth some half and half, wth an espresso type steamer wand, and then pour the mixed, and almost complete creating, into or on top of the frothed half and half for a light and beautiful warm cozy and oh so excellent option for a night cap. You might also froth the creamish thing with a sprinkle of cinnamon in the half and half, and maybe a touch of honey. Just sayin. Thank you so much for all your work We love being so entertained while watching, then making, and finally enjoying so many of your recipes.

So rich so good with an array of all the holiday spices. “ So please don’t press to hard on the grater”. ☕️🫖

I've only found this drink in northern states around the holidays and had trouble finding a recipe so thanks for this!

Thank you. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a recipe for hot buttered rum, before. Definitely something I’ll want to try for my holiday Christmas party - next year, where a pandemic isn’t ravaging the Earth. And, assuming we are all still here, as a species, to celebrate, I’m sure it will be a hit. I like the old-fashioned dishes at Christmas.
